Awards for June, 2011
Belegchand
This month we’d like to recognize Matt C. as Belegchand. More often than not, characters like him who spend a majority of their time in the background tend to get overlooked. This event we were thrilled to see some real depth behind him. He exhibits an almost child-like curiosity and excitement over learning new and unusual thing. He obeys all of the tenets of his Chroniclerite faith, even when it is not easy. Despite all he knows, he also shows wisdom in realizing which information may be spread and which is better off remaining hidden, and is and stoically proud to carry knowledge he knows can and may get him killed. This character is A+ Honorable mention goes to Jimbob as Zander. He definitely deserves recognition for how much he adds to the game's immersion.Sam as the Werewolf
Sam really brought it as the werewolf this event. Many expected and were probably looking forward to a brutal fight, but were pleasantly surprised by something they didn’t expect. Instead of just rushing in and killing/attacking, Sam played the stalking predator the way it should be done. Hunting parties were set up to look for him, but he was stalking them at the same time, picking off players one by one as they looked for him. Very well done Sam!Steve Oros and Liam Neary
Steve Oros and Liam. They probably didn’t get a chance to sit down the entire event. They were marshaling, NPCing, PCing the entire event without complaint and putting as much detail into each of those things as they deserved. Thanks to you both for your hard work. You really made a difference in the outcome of the “Week in the Life”. Honorable mention to the cow herders! There is really nothing else to say about it…Pendarvin, Crestingstar Tent
We have another tie! Pendarvin area – Being given the nick-name “The cabin of Zafrin and the 7 Dwarves”, it really was a great setup. It looked well kept the entire event, not over-the-top, but simple and clean. You could tell how much effort went into the decorations and you really felt like you entered a cabin and not a tent. Great job, thank you! Ben & Michelle’s tent – another tent that felt like home. From the rug, wall-hangings and full-size bed, you wanted to just lay down and relax. The outside had tiny lights that twinkled in the dark, just making you imagine you were among the elves. Nicely done! Please don’t feel slighted if you aren’t one of the groups above. It is becoming more and more difficult to select winners because there are so many awesome set-ups. Many others were mentioned as well, so we’d like to thank you all in: Kaladonia, Winterdark, MacKraegar (complete with sheep pen), The Stump, Alisandria, the Store, and anyone else who helped make this such a great set-up this month. Your efforts are not going unnoticed.
