Hey guys.  I just wanted to let everyone who may have shared a drink with me this past event know that I've been diagnosed with mono.  So... if you start feeling crappy, get yourself checked out.

Hope everyone else is in good health.

I hate you Zach... I really do.  Now my OCD-germaphobia is in overdrive.  >:(

Luckily, I was using my camelbak most of the event and drank very little from the bar or tables.  Still, I am getting myself checked out.

At one point the Rules Marshals said during the beginning of an event to drink from your own bottle so you don't get sick. Guess John was right, this was bound to happen at one point.

The funny thing is that Tobar ACTUALLY joked around that Rayven poisoned each piece of watermelon that Tobar ate.  Not the ones anyone else ate, mind you, JUST the ones that he ate from the very large serving bowl.  Sorry Zach, but you know you find it a LITTLE amusing and ironic...

Don't worry, Matt.  I know the truth.  You didn't poison the watermellon... you DISEASED it!

If you've already had mono, can you get it again?
???

Not really, I've had mono a few times - one time was definitely from KR.  But my immune system may be funky.

These things happen - if you share drinks with ANYONE its bound to happen sometime.  You're a sweetheart for letting people know Zach.

Mono stays in your body much like the chicken pox virus. You can be subjected to the symptoms a second (or more) time but it is unlikely unless your immune system is already compromised for another reason.

If having gotten through the 60s and 70s unscathed, Zach, all I can say if I contract it now...

OTOH, it will take something like this to suppress Tobar.  Wonder what disease he will admit to, as mono was not diagnosed in the 13th century.

If we're going 13th century, he could say evil spirits.

Or, he could say he's been bored.
