According to the forecast (thank you Geoff) the temperature will be between 35 and 22 degrees F Saturday and night.  It will have rained on and off (and at the moment it is very on) for three days going into Saturday, which is expected to be clear.  This means the ground will be supersaturated, slippery as all get go (between leaves, mud, and slick grass) and just plain treacherous.  People will fall - we all have the T-shirt.

Bring extra socks.  Bring some sort of waterproof footwear, even if it does not look cool.  If you have wool socks, wear them.  Something, preferably light wool, to cover your head, especially if you have a head of hair that is less than it used to be (like me).  Even though it is a one day Event, bring a complete change of clothes.  At the risk of sounding like a broken record, bring a complete change of clothes.  Include wool or fleece in your wardrobe.  Cotten sucks if it gets wet and is near your skin.  Wool and silk are your friends.

Gloves and/or mittens.
