Below is information that your character would know, having lived in Bremer. Also there is a Map of building placement below
Bremer
Near Alieander - the capital of Kormyre - in the County of Loez, lies the hamlet of Bremer. Nestled against an ancient forest, Bremer has long seen more than its share of monsters and strange occurrences. The woods are home to many frightful things and the people of Bremer have become accustomed to danger over the generations. Adventurers often gather here and test their abilities before setting off for the wildest parts of the world to earn their places in history.
(oog – Please note that you cannot stay in a main building unless your character belongs there)
(oog – The camp will be decorated and arranged for Bremmer. When the change Saturday late night, reverts back to Travance Proper, we are going to leave the decor and the arrangements as is, please just use your imagination )
- The Economy in Bremer is primarily a Silver Piece Economy. Those who deal in gold are considered to be of considerable wealth.
Who’s Who in Bremer
His Lordship Edward Hockney, 4th Earl of Bremer: (Matt White)
Lord Hockney is a favorite of King Mardux, having been raised at court alongside the king when both were young boys. Lord Hockney's father, Charles Hockney, 3rd Earl of Bremer, was slain in battle protecting the life of King Graham III, and one of many gestures of gratitude displayed by the king for his sacrifice was to foster his son at court and preserve the family title and estates for his inheritance.
The first three Earls of Bremer were men of virtuous distinction but unambitious with regard to the acquisition and advancement of wealth. Thus, Bremer remains a rustic town despite its great name. Lord Hockney aspires to improve upon his ancestors' legacy with money and wealth and holds land grants in several other parts of Kormyre that were awarded to him by King Mardux after he uncovered treasonous conspiracies by the nobles that previously owned them. Bremer remains the ancestral seat of the Hockney's earldom, however, and Lord Hockney resides there as his father before him when not at court serving on the King's Privy Council.
A man of uncompromising authority, Lord Hockney has little tolerance for anyone that does not serve his needs or contribute in an estimable way to the advancement of his interests. Like many nobles around Kormyre, Lord Hockney is aware of the king's deep scorn for the Church of Valos, the paladins, and anyone else that promotes virtues other than ambition, and by most accounts he shares this view.
His Lordship is very fond of sport and the art of war, and less interested in academic subjects. He appreciates the value of education, however, and understands that clever men and women with good learning are just the sort of people that can help him fulfill his ambition of building supremely enviable wealth and influence.
Lady Lauren Hockney, Countess of Bremer (MaryBeth E.)
The outcome from an alliance between King Mardux and Lord Afineus of Quinarian, resulted in an arranged marriage.
Showing complete loyalty to her husband, Lord Edward Hockney, Lady Lauren, moved to Bremer.
She is not used to the “backwoods” feel to Bremer, and much prefers Quinarian or Alleander. She is viewed as neither benevolent nor cruel, but has an elitist attitude and, like her husband, is very ambitious. The finer things have always been expected by her. She is an accomplished valence mage and it is rumored that she is also a psion.
The grand manor house that the Lord and Lady originally lived in had to be abandoned due to the growing danger and unexplained presence of monsters in the area. Now they live in a smaller, modest house in the center of Bremer, close to the Inn. She holds court every morning in the sitting room in the manor. Here she is sought by many who look for adventure, and often her visitors are sent on various tasks and paid well for their services.
Baelore Winter (Joe Bondi), Advisor to Lord Hockney. As a key overseer to the rule of Bremer, Baelore often enforces the role of Magistrate, Viceroy and Arbitraitor in the noble affairs of the town. The rest of the time, he stands quite reserved at the side of his Lord for council. As a stern man who rarely musters a genuine smile, it is said that his appointment to Bremer is a punishment, and one who comes from such noble blood should reside in the capital city itself.
Baelore is often seen roaming the winding roads and dark woods of the town, often without a guard to accompany him. Some say he has little to fear and may be responsible for the beasts and horors that now inhabit the nearby woodlands. One thing is for certain, be sure to never find yourself in need of his mercy. A master of torture will yield none.
Captain Landon Kelridge (Matt Volk): Former Knight Captain, now Captain Kelridge is a well recognized member of Bremer society. Rarely seen without his field plate, he oversees the town's small contingent of Royal Guard, who are seen as no better than the King's thugs at times, though no one dare say that to the Captain's face. He has been stationed now in Bremer for close to 5 years, transferred from the great northern bastion of Gramoore, a position he seems to view as a serious demotion. His men appear understaffed, though well equipped, which most attribute to his former involvement in higher levels of the Kormyrian army. There are regular problems with travel near the woods, and he claims that he simply doesn't have enough men to do more than merely keep the bandits out of the town limits.
Thanatos the Reaper (Rob G.): While his real name remains a mystery, Thanatos is the public head of the Dark Church in Bremer, and makes no effort to hide his identity as a Priest of Galmachis and Anti-Paladin. Since the disappearance of the Paladins, the Dark Church has grown in prominence in Bremer, with rumors that large bribes have been paid to the local nobility to "look the other way" when to comes to the extravagantly appointed Temple that is maintained in the Proper and the dark activities that take place within. The ring he wears is rumored to be the mithril-dipped spine of his first-born son, sacrificed to Galmachis as his final test to become an Anti-Paladin.
Fr. Albert Pearson (Brendan O): head of the former local chapel to Galladell. The original chapel having been lost in a fire in recent years has not swayed his faith; he has kept his ministry by walking the town and ministering to the local infirmed as well as tending regularly to the local cemetery. An open and friendly man, Fr. Albert has lived in Bremer longer than most. In that time he has been shown to be a tenacious man who doesn’t let problems stop him, seeing them only as what he calls “Galladell’s little trials.”
He has made no secret of his displeasure that dark worship has taken a hold in his home and he can regularly be found bending the ear of any commoner or noble who will hear him out on the matter. Having no proof of illegal dealings has left him with little recourse but to bide his time until he can make a case to the Lord.
Curly the Innkeeper (Paul Shaffer): Norbert “Curly” Kurlack is the innkeeper at “The Servant’s Rest” inn in Bremer. He is very old (70, maybe 80) but in good health—except for his memory. Curly was a chronicler for the king years ago, until he was “retired” after an “incident” that cost him much of his memory.
Due to his poor memory, Curly is forced to write down almost everything. He has a written list of all the locals in the town, as well as a good bit of history and lore, and he’s happy to share his information with anyone who asks.
Taddea Ermingard, Quartermaster (Charna):
Having been born to a servant of the 3rd Earl of Bremer, Taddea has spent her life looking to gain favor of the lord and his kin no matter the means of receiving it. She is in charge of all the incoming and outgoing caravans and she seems to be willing to trade with anyone and everyone, even the most unscrupulous of merchants that travel through Bremer. Although a bit rough around the edges and occasionally impolite, her fellow towns members have never been bothered enough by her to give her a second thought.
Tamsyn Silmathiel, Assistant Mages Guild Leader (Kate L.)
There are too many who choose this life who were not born to it, is Tamsyn`s sentiment. She was born in Bremer and would never have moved to such a dangerous and ugly place of her own accord. Her parents, respected members of the mages guild in Kormyre`s capital, were sent here to help train the various mages and adventurers who came to make names for themselves. When Tamsyn was still a child her mother was killed in cold blood by a hobgoblin priestess she had offended. After her death, Tamsyn`s father essentially gave up on life and lived a dark and angry existence until he died of a plague a few years later.
Having shown the expected proficiency for magic, the guildmaster, Rillifane Daymar, also a high elf, took Tamsyn into the guild hall. Since then, she has trained under his guidance to one day take his place. Tamsyn has little love for the risks of the place but it is the only home she has ever known and she is truly not brave enough to venture further into the unknown. So making the best of a bad place, Tamsyn has managed to make friends with those who can protect her. The few moments where Tamsyn feels she has come into her own are those moments where she is left in control of Bremer`s guild...

Paul and Suzi are dressing up only one of the three rooms I believe, so you should be able to take one of the other rooms.

Yes, it's true. Suzi is playing a Kiterian, so we're doing the tiny right-hand cabin up to be her "burrow" (hence the name on the map). I'm NPCing for this event, and I'll be staying in the burrow, too.
