Help Wanted - Kitchen Laundry was created by geezer (geezer)
This has been approved by James C. Kimball

Each month the kitchen goes through its stock of towels/rags.  They need to be laundered between events.  I've been (mostly) doing this for over 6 months, and while the 250 SPs are nice, I need them like a moose needs a hat rack.  If anyone wants to wash them for a month, or more, please see either Luis or me at the August Event.  If more than one are interested, we will work things out.

While it depends on the capacity of your washer, with our toploader, it is a full load.

However, if you agree to do this, you must make arrangements to get them to the next Event.  Forgetting them means you have to go out and buy some.

Happy to oblige, if the position hasn't already been filled.

Also, 10 style points for the subtle "250 service points" drop ;-)

"I'm willing to take that chance!"

Things I am no longer allowed to do in an RPG :
31. The backup trap handler is not whoever has the most HP at the time.
73. Not allowed to name my cudgel Ceremonial Whoopass Stick.
74. My thief's battle cry is not "Run And Live"

As much as I wanted to continue the Mooseness, that was one of the single most off-topic threads I've seen on the KR forums.

So I put it somewhere where I *could* continue the Mooseness...

Anyways - Charlie, is this spot taken, or is help still needed?

Jenna is doing it for the September Event, and probably the October one as well.  We will see how she feels after that.  :)

Maybe someone could clean the npc clothing as well, given the stench and amount of funk they currently exude...

I agree with washing the NPC clothing, but that would be a HUGE job, for whoever chose to do so. How often does the NPC clothing get washed, if ever? Maybe some of us could also volunteer to take some chunks of clothing and wash them.

Im a team player but the NPC clothing should be the sole responsibility of the staff of Knight Realms. It should be washed and dried and properly stored each and every event.

Mold and and bacteria on the clothing are not only gross and smelly but a severe health concern. 40 dollars at the laundromat and one long day of playing PSP and you have yourself a sanitary and comfortable NPC population.

Honestly, if you went to a laundromat it would take you probably 1 and a half hours to do.  They have multiple machines there, and most laundromats have those ludicrous 50 lb washers you can use.

In fact, I'm fairly certain that the strip mall across from the Ugly Mug has a laundromat in it, if someone were to do it pre event.

The NPC costume problems along with many other problems with regards to KR props will be fixed shortly. More news on this soon.

The washing solution for NPC garb is an industrial facility.  When we went Central Europe to see the 200th reenactment of Austerlitz, we were there for 18 days, but only brought 10 changes.  Found an industrial laundry in Dresden and had it done in a day, and inexpensively at that.
