Rules Update: Alchemists & Alchemy was created by GJSchaller (GJSchaller)
The branch of Alchemical compounds known as "Alchemy" has been renamed "Hermetic Alchemy."  This will help differentiate it from Herbal and Poisons in other rules.

The time required to create an alchemical compound has been reduced to 2 minutes per rank.

The Hermetic compound "Acid Bomb" has been increased from 40 to 60 damage.  All other effects remain the same.

The Hermetic compound "Potion of Giant Strength" has been increased in duration to 5 minutes.

The skill "Disguise Compound" has been removed from the game.

The skill "Concentrate Alchemy" has been revised as follows:
Concentrate Alchemy
2 Build, Periodic (Pre-Req: 2 Rank 4 Hermetic Recipes)

When using an alchemical compound that the alchemist has made herself, the alchemist may double one effect the compound produces - damage dealt, body healed, duration, or numerical bonus granted or needed - of the alchemists choice.  The skill is used at the moment the compound is used, not during creation.

Do existing potions mentioned above get the changes applied to them?

Can Concentrate Alchemy be used multiple times if the potion has multiple numeric effects?

Typo:  Concentrate Alchemy is still registered as continuous under the skills list, and not periodic.

Tom,

You cannot stack multiple concentrate alchemy tag skills on one use of alchemy even if you are stacking different effects.

Gus, thank you - fixed.  I always miss that when updating the description, it seems...

Tom - to clarify, this falls under the same skill / effect not being able to be stacked on a given target, as a general rule.

"when it's used"

For the example of a thrown offensive potion- is this the moment its thrown or when it connects?

i.e. Would I say...

"Concentrate Alchemy" then throw the packet and call "16 Fire"

Or would I throw it and say "Concentrate Alchemy, 16 fire!"

It would be like calling a Crit or Flame Shot with a ranged weapon, or a Battle Casting skill with a spell - all of the combined skills are called as one attack, including the skills used and the damage type.  So in your examples above, a Fire Bomb would be "Concentrate Alchemy, 16 Fire!" as the packet is being thrown.  (The other way to think of it is that there is no warm-up or delay to use the skill, so there's no reason to make them two separate calls.)
