All Hallow's Eve question

For the holiday of All Hallow's Eve, it states that in Khitan, pumpkins are carved to ward off evil spirits and ghosts and ghouls.
Are bears likely to want to show up and eat the pumpkins if we carve some and put them around the Stump for decoration? I have no idea if bears consider pumpkins tasty treats, so I figured I'd ask here for better information.
Thanks in advance.

We've kept pumpkins up before around the inn though, haven't we?
Precisely what I was going to say... are we concerned that the stump is a bit more secluded?

From our lighting policy;
"Candles, lanterns, or torches that produce real firelight are permitted for IG use, but are not permitted for use inside of buildings or on porches; an item card is required for anything larger than a candle."
Any open flame must be supervised, even if inside a gourd. If you want your pumpkin on your porch or anywhere near your building or want to leave it on when you're not there, get a glowstick or an LED candle. Alternatively, you can always illuminate your pumpkin with the light of James' brilliant smile.
Jackie already posted our policy on what is acceptable for this coming event, that may change for future events. It is certainly suggested that you get some of those fake pumpkins, but if you bring real ones follow the guidelines she posted.

Jackie GIBS!
She gave her all this weekend and spent a majority of her time OOG doing things to help other people rather than playing. She cooked feast, sold raffle tickets, and NPCed a Low-Level mod. She even sat down for Main Mod, taking care of people with heat-related health issues, remaining cheerful and buoyant the whole time through. She deserves more than an award, she deserves a medal. She even woke up extra early on Saturday to go look at decorated cabins. Thanks Jackie! You rock!
