Welcome to the updated Knight Realms website!

While most everything should have made the transition intact, there's bound to be a few bugs, broken links, etc. Please post in this thread if you find anything wrong, and I'll fix it during the week.

• Your Avatars have been removed - new ones will need to be made. There will be a new, separate thread under Event Highlights to request one.
• PMs were NOT transferred over. There's a new PM system in place, but it could not bring in the old PMs.
• The old Forums are still available, in non-KR flavor, at: www.knightrealms.com/Components/Forums/ - they will be locked shortly to prevent new posts, but you can still log in to retrieve your old PMs.

Bugs / Issues I am working on - I will cross them out as they are fixed.

• I need to re-add people to their groups by hand - I will be working on this tonight and tomorrow, so please be patient.
• Images in Signatures don't seem to be working - I am looking into this.
• There is an "infinite Loop" error when searching the Gallery.
• Looking to add a "Unread Messages" option to the top of the boards, along with "Recent Topics" and such.

Please take a moment to look around, update your profile, etc. Over the next few days, I'll be paying attention to this thread as much as I can (outside of work and classes) to keep things rolling.

Wow... some serious aesthetic changes... but it seems pretty good.

I did have to get my password reset, so... just letting you know, that didn't carry over completely (and so other people know they might have to.)

Also: other IG/Private Boards... do permissions have to be re-established for those? I only see the DCI board, and not even the old Private Board sub-forum bit.

Hmmm.... an email SHOULD have warned you that was going to happen - but I suspect a bunch of Anti-Spam filters (on the server, not just everyone's email) caught them, because it tried to send 900+ emails in a few minutes.

Is there a button for see all unread messages? It's my favorite link!

Private / Marshal Boards are NOT up yet! I need to add you all back in by hand.

It may be a day or two before I can do this... Real Life is causing some additional issues for me.

I'll try to work on this Monday and Tuesday to the best of my ability.

There's a new "Recent Topics" up top, which will get you closer... I'll see if I can replicate the "Unread Messages" feature.

Tapatalk will be coming back shortly, too.

Tapatalk is re-enabled - you should not need to change anything on your mobile device.

I'm calling it quits for the evening - I'll do more Avatars, and begin opening up the Private / Marshal Boards, in the morning. (Note to future webmasters - being on cold meds while rolling out a website is NOT a good combo!)

I've been having some issues with clicking on some profile links. For example, when looking at my profile, & clicking on the link for my Flickr, it doesn't take me to my stream or page. Anyone else have this issue?

Overall, it looks like everything works. I'm still getting used to the new changes & sizes of icons and such. I'll give a better detail & opinion later.

I knew there was something else: the Calendar of Events board is missing!

Is this a good opportunity to request a change to our avatars? If we have the new image ready and waiting?

Thank you, Mike - it means a lot. I know this wasn't as smooth as *I* would have liked it, but change rarely is.

As far as i can see it looks good, i will be going through it on my phone later on once i get time to. I like the Upcoming Events on the right side, makes it easier to see when an event is coming up so i can let my boss know w/o going through the old process.

There's a running checklist of issues at the top of this post - as I find / hear about more, I'll add them, and as I correct them, I'll cross them off.

When Clicking on the home link do you want it to take you to the knightrealms.com/index.php or to the welcome screen/Splash screen?

The splash screen is gone - it was killing our Google Ranking. When Google sees only a page with one picture and no text, it decides it's not important, and trashes the rank when you search.

Hopefully, we'll see KR's site jump up in the rankings in the next few weeks.

That it does, but in side the site when you click home under Knight Realms on the right, it takes you to it.

The splash screen has been removed - are you still seeing it? It may be cached in your browser.

It is gone now, my cache might have picked it up for no reason. Work computers suck some times :blink:

I've set up a "Scratch Board" under Off-Topic, if anyone wants to play with posing new signatures, etc. and wants to get the code down first.

Also, you'll see a new "Preview" button - two of them, actually - up top, so you can preview your post WHILE you're typing it, and see how the code will come out.

Going to the Photo Gallery right now shows the same content as the Monthly Awards page, even though the URL is correct for the gallery.

That should be fixed - I caught it after I checked the forums.

Okay, so just to clarify, Private Boards are going to be restored after you've got the Marshal boards sorted? Just want to make sure I'm not missing something.

Um... I'm now seeing the little page number boxes as long, brown lines, on the sub-forum thread selection screens. Probably just a minor glitch, but...

Should be fixed - a fix for another issue caused that one.

The site should be stable and much more coherent now... if you spot any bugs, please post them here!

Attempted to use Search function on Picture Gallery page. Received the following error...

"Infinite loop detected in JError"

Acknowledged. This one may be difficult to fix - I'll keep people updated as I work on it with the developers.
