Converting an Existing Character
If you are converting an existing character into the new rules, there are no special circumstances you need to consider. You may do any of the following:
Rewriting/Retiring an Existing Character
If you want to start a brand new character at starting Build, you may do so normally.
If you wish to rewrite your character into a brand new character or transfer your Build from one character to another character, you must retire your character. If you wish to retire, please contact . All rules of retirement as per the new Rulebook apply. Except...
Characters with Personal Abilities
If you wish to transfer personal abilities (formerly "unique" abilities) from one character to another character, you may do so with no penalty at this time, even if the ability was not obtained from a pledge or cash-out. This option is only available during the conversion period and in the future will not be an option (except for pledge/cash-out abilities.)
Characters Becoming Fringe Races
If you are becoming a Fringe race, you must email me at . No Fringe races will be approved for the March event - choose any race for now and we will change your race later if you are approved. Note that even at this rewrite period, all Fringe players are subject to the same approval rules in regards to lore, makeup, and racial abilities.
If you did not purchase the Fringe rewrite for 30,000G, but wish to play a Fringe race, your options are as follows if your race is approved:
If you are converting an existing character into the new rules, there are no special circumstances you need to consider. You may do any of the following:
- Choose any race, regardless of your character's previous race
- Choose any standard classes, regardless of your character's previous classes
- Choose any master classes for which you qualify, regardless of your character's previous classes
- Note: Heroic Classes are estimated to cost approximately one hundred Build. You will be able to write into a Heroic class at their release ONLY if you already knew the class and fill all requirements to learn it. It is recommended you save the appropriate amount of Build to purchase the list at the time; otherwise you must follow the standard retraining/unlearning process if you do not have enough Build.

Hi Tori,
Just to clarify, to make sure i'm understanding-
We will not be able to write into heroic lists that have lower lists that didn't exist prior to the new rules, nor lists that we did not have in the old rules?

That 100 build in regards to heroics, is that approximate cost to buy all ranks, similar to what it was, or the cost to just open it?
