Mummy and Daddy Plot Highlights
I really should have done these immediately after the event but I’m lazy so here goes nothing.
First I want to thank Kristen and Steve for using Matt and my back-story for the plot. We never expected that at all. We had always expected that if anyone ever ran our back-story he would end up being a mercenary or something fairly straight forward. Not an Undead Paladin. We never imagined that something so awesome would ever happen to our characters.
Friday
Bought some leg armor to make me less squishy, not realizing that I would have to buy more after the event.
Being told OOG that my back-story was the weekend plot not just a single mod that weekend.
Scouring the Rumors trying to figure out what it could be and concluding that my father most likely became a pirate.
My Father is a Paladin?! My father is undead?! Wait, he’s sentient?!
Saturday
Spider cave mod. Walking in and using Animal Empathy on every spider I could along with Squire Renaith. We got all the way into the mine and were on our way out before Kristen had the spiders stop responding to Animal Empathy. Getting a role playing point for playing my class right. It was one of my favorite mods because while it was a very simple one it was perfectly executed by both the PC’s and NPC’s and our marshal. Angel played a really creepy spider.
Being asked to explain the plot to people. It was great to be so involved.
Final conversation with Cedric. Cedric apologizing for not being there and me explaining to him that had he not done what he did neither of us would have ended up being as good as were are. And after months of thinking that his father left because he was ashamed, Cedric saying, “The man who raised you did a good job.” I didn’t cry but damn were my eyes watery.
Sunday
Grim Guardians and wolves, getting to empathy a wolf just before Archer VanZant got to kill it, and the oh so satisfying sound of Archer’s complaining, “awww.”
Taking Keavy and the empathized wolfs to meet the rest of my pack and using my Totem Form to call them.
