Following around every Galamachian Death Herald I saw until it went away or the batteries in the cool glowing thing went dead. Then later going out as a Death Herald and scaring the crap out of half the town and almost getting a Sever Soul on someone until Magnus so rudely bull rushed me out of the way, grabbed the body and literally ran down the stairs with her :) My favorite part of the entire weekend had to be Lord Aleister and Tsoli dueling in the Inn on sunday...EPIC. One last highlight, Lord Aleister sentencing a Galamachian Thief to a long and healthy life in prison :P

Mike S. is my favorite snowman :)

So cold but so good.
Started of as an NPC for Chris's mod. Wild mage fun with torture.
Friday night wtf necromancy is legal and conversation with Winston and Ardin
RP with James and Gene as my Saturday Wake up Mod was Fabulous.
Reading from Carlos, Geoff you and those cards...
Learning my first weapon tag skill, great reaction Josh from the surprise in damage difference.
Magic lessons, i enjoy being one of few who know a sphere to give lessons
Feast was delicious, thank you to all who helped clean up it really makes a big difference those 2 extra people to getting done at 9 or 10..
The look on Bill(grim)'s face when he started throwing tsunamis at me as a water elemental.

The entire scene with Aliester was awesome, from the philosophy of green sorcery to the ensuing duels it was a fantastic scene that really put the cap to a cool weekend(pun intended because it's me)
even with losing 3 duels, making steve go.. *so ...... coooooooold* was priceless
in 5 years that was the most i had ever interacted with that character and i am pleased that he is taking me on as a student.

Friday: Out of work in Albany at 6, and missing 284 meant not in till 9:30. Scramble for getting unloaded, dressed, and signed in. All managed before lay on, and even able to get a non-main mod NPC shift!
Brought a noob down, and still just low enough to accompany on intro mod. (Props to the guys NPCing that; you guys were more than professional, and took the inevitable head bops without a missed step. Kudos guys!) Like nearly all the new blood, he grasps the basics well. Once back at the Inn, a quick chat with Rudolph, and Imrahil is asked to lend assistance with the Baronial guard. A patrol is organized, but turns out nothing more than a chase the scream constitutional. A bit of catch up with the well knowns, and a few new faces to meet, and it's time for bed.

Saturday: Grab some breakfast and tea, meet a few new folks, and attend my first guard meeting. Open enrollment. Honorable intent. Consider Imrahil in. Another goose chase patrol...
Back to market faire. Successful run. Uncomfortable interaction on the province of deity for Imrahil. While I feel I dropped the ball on it a bit, it just made me do some thinking on it this week, and I feel better prepared to stand Imrahil's ground on the subject. Time for a bit more interaction, and a couple quick combats before paperwork. Back at the armory for some lunch and changing. About ten minutes to sign in when Grim and Angeliana come in briefly, leave, and seconds later barge back in tailed by a pack of wendigo. Swyft chooses this as a good time to jump back IG. 4bp Paladin... A couple minutes, and a good show later, Grim and Angeliana are down a few limbs and bleeding out, Swyft is possessed and tapping Magnus with two's as he stands finishing a cigarette. "This has got to wear off sometime." -Magnus. < My quote of the game.
I understand all parties are on the mend.
NPC shift was good. Volunteered for the tower mod. A fun card to play with. Petrify is broken in the best possible way! The recent newbies out there are pretty well prepared. I could call others I can say I've seen improvement in their technique, as a few out there were folks who started at about the same time I did. I'm usually good at staying out of the way of arrows, but I knew the moment I saw the 1000 yd stare coming down-shaft from the young lady in the scale armor, I knew I'd be taking a couple. Suspicion confirmed! :pinch: Later out as rabble-rousers. A little disappointed in how literally that got taken, but surprised at the depth confronted PC's went to to aid them. Clove does his materialize-behind-you thing and is offering to teach me and mine to hunt and forage, while Gin Yuki doles out commodity cards, and Aleister offers jobs to the willing. The called upon NPC's did well with coming up with trades on the fly. Fortunately the session wrapped up much more neatly than it began. Back in time for the tail end of feast. The vegetarian offerings are greatly appreciated by this out of game omnivore. It's a good, little way to help me remain in game during feast. Afterward, quick first aid lesson to meet guard requisite. Thanks Rosa! Got to be part of the seven barbed fish-hook mystery. Imrahil is unsure if that is completely resolved... Assassins at the Inn. Imrahil isn't proud, but Brendan feels like a BAMF after tripping a running assassin into the middle of a scrum where he was quickly vanquished!
Main mod was mainly consumed shifting between two competing schools of thought - hold the line, and protect the scrambling healer. Commendations received for both, but no need for additional cardio this moon.
A little more interaction before bed.

Sunday: Out of the armory before wake up shift. Bonus points. Breakfast and coffee. Some more interaction, and starting to get desperate with trying to learn something. Never fails, need an answer, Almat's got you covered! A few more personal quest MacGuffin reveals to no avail. Sometimes it seems the simplest obfuscation is the hardest to see past... Oh well, I'm going to keep hawking it like a carnival barker til someone bites!

As usual everyone did a great job this event. Looking forward to getting down for March!

You know its a good game with good garb when you're too hot indoors but can do mods and outdoors combat indefinitely because that's the right temperature.

Oh my goodness Angie and Bran mod. Everything went off perfectly once we got the people who could go and rolled out. Grim made the most hilariously awkward speech ever before they engaged, and it was fun to be purposefully tongue-tied because he's still new at that sort of thing. Got to use Crushing blow AND smash door for the first times IG, it was spectacular, NPCs were dropping all over and the players were moving in a coordinated way.

Oh man poor Bran and Angie. And yes, I heard that HJOLDA! Angie. The sheer brutal cruelty of how they were being tortured was just... wow. Harsh.

That entire mod, I could go on for hours, but everyone played their part just so well.

The return to the inn was great, so much legitimate drama. Also, I received the most hostile RP point I've ever gotten in my life, which amused me to no end.

Getting mocked and growling at Seamus was pretty great.

Insensitive Goggins talking to Angie was amusing too.

Had an interesting talk about morality and doing what is right with Tirsen and Billiam. and found out exactly how far Grim's willing to go without evidence of wrongdoing.

Had a little freakout about the glowy hands, then grinned as magnus nuked one.

Carlos' reading was... terrifying. Grim is a huge believer in wyrd and fate and cartomancy in particular, and the Tower has particular meaning for me as a tarot-interested person. It hugely unsettled him. Awesome roleplay.

Next morning! Early patrol, earlier than everyone else, checking to see if there had been thefts, apparently impressing the mages' guild by actually checking there as part of my patrol duties.

Morning patrol with Magnus was great, I think grim finally gave him his gift then.

Making friends with Fyodor, having him assigned to me as a guard trainee, and THEN finding out he was a mage. Awkward times. But grim managed it pretty well i think.

Grim going down to the Manor to pick up angie was fun, even if it did end up in us getting wrecked by 4 wendigo eventually. THANKS CHRIS :) Magnus made an excellent save there, massive props. Loved how the Wendigo were played as well.

Helping escort "refugees" who turned out to be bandits, then quickly realizing his mistake after they attacked him and clobbering them until they could be put in the Slam was pretty great.

Being gutted by Brogan for a physician lesson was surprisingly hilarious. Especially when I got to roleplay waking up from the treatment and started choking out the guy who'd just put me back together ;).

Meeting Lazarus and apprenticing with Bat cooper, even if I was incredibly tired.

My two man patrol with Oren was awesome, and even mroe awesome was my Weapons mastery lesson from him a bit later in the day. Good times.

I loved feast, I loved all the meals, I ate VERY well.

Main mod was cool and easily in the best area for main mod I've seen in a while, not counting the huge xualla plot conclusion. I really liked the layout of the fight near the barn, and encourage storytellers to do more stuff there or in the field near the Inn if possible. Fyodor was awesome, as was Jason/Caldor figuring out how deadly a non-damaging druidic can be during mods.

post main mod roleplay with Angeliana.

Seeing Carlos' reading for Angie was really interesting too.

undead attacking, and dual wielding Carlos' and Valentine Graye's swords was hilarious, if only because they were so lighty and wieldy and so not Berserker weapons.

Drega'mod was interesting, I'm curious to see where that stuff leads going forward.

NPC duty was funny, at least initially because I was an NPC shift of 1 until we got volunteers. The entire shift was full of hilarity, from Typhon getting munched, to Goggins' hilarious run as he retreats from wolves, to getting clobbered by Alisandria then pulled in for a snack, (THANK YOU ALL), to hitting Tsoli with his signature spell, and chasing Zipeto's PC across the outside of the Inn amusingly. On the whole I had a great weekend, and would definitely walk in the snow again.

The end of the game was also really fun, and so was cleanup

Gonna be cold out this event, you say?
Pfft. Overheating multiple times this event (thank you inn and drega'room), while not exactly a highlight, was a bit of delicious irony.
I LOVE this weather.
Can we please please please larp in this all the time?

Otherwise, nice, low key event.

Friday:
Myrdiz, of an angry ranting Tirsen: "that man really needs to cut back on his coffee." I was only just barely able to keep a straight face.
NPC Shift:
- I can has fire?
- Props to the PCs who interacted with the mooks (ash rats, in this case) and RPed out encounters, instead of killing on sight.

Saturday:
Sergei is always a great source of amusement.
Seeing how the lower levels headed into tower mod.
While helping someone with a medical issue Saturday wasn't exactly a highlight, it was a nice reminder of how this community will pull together to support one another.
Jed. Just...Jed.
Pre main mod planning and buffing. Vanguard + professor = all the extra skills.
Forming and holding a battle line for the entire fight, and watching Jed do his thing.
Drega'mire murdersnake. Drega'mire, I love you all, but holycrapmindscrew.
Tari: "so, I may die very soon. I turned Caelvan back into a celt while he was sleeping"
Celtvan, round 2.

Sunday:
ALL the shenanigans
Drunk elf!Typhon
Robbing Aleister blind, to the point where he ended up hiding under a table.
Croi is best thief/worst thief
Mage duels
Croi running off with 4 coffin shields.
Frivolous uses of tag skills in the name of hilarity.

On an OOG note, my apologies to everyone I may have been short tempered with and upset at Friday evening. And heartfelt thanks to everyone who put up with me, helped me with my problems, and assisted in searching for my lost phone.

Friday night:
-Loved staying in the armory, I must say. I got to know some folks better and, let’s face it, staying in the same cabin as Mr. Goggins means never a dull moment! Such as when he was trying to teach John Smith something about blacksmithing and made the mistake of showing him THE BOX. Which of course, John set off. Goggins, looking prim, says “Well, that’s three waylays each.” I could not stop laughing! Nor could Imrahil, my newbie half-bro Lucas, or John. We really did try so hard to be knocked out, but… the giggles…

-Can’t forget being sleep powdered as I was leaving the bathroom, (I declare shenanigans!) dragged into the next room and given a skull insignia on the head. (This is the 2nd time Swyft was knocked out and carved into… lol) So yes, IG freakout occurred but it lead up to the most epic character entrance I have yet seen. Just as sobbing-Swyft sat down with concerned scholarly folk, trying to figure it out, Zathir (who I hadn’t seen IRL in ages and didn’t think was there at all) appeared out of NOWHERE, rushed over with a cry of “Divine Restoration!” as I leaped up into the tightest omg-haven’t-seen-you-in-forever hug. It was so awesomely overdramatic!

-The debacle with Alanna trying to figure out what was wrong with the ailing fishermen NPC’s was morbidly hilarious. (I had an ill timed heal…)

Saturday:
- Finally joined the town guard!

-Going near hypothermic sucked, despite many layers. Amazing how stupid your brain gets when you’re that cold. Thank-you to everyone who helped me back into a normal body temperature! Seriously, everyone was so generous and kind to me. Much, much gratitude!

-Having discussions with Magnus and in the monastery about paladins and how to properly Paladin… which was pretty much “Be paladin.”

Main mod was FREAKING AWESOME. I rather enjoyed doing chaotic combat medic maneuvers on the field. I was running back and forth like a madwoman… or cat… trying to make sure no one stayed on the ground because of those glowy hands folks. There were some real acrobatics involved in staying alive and keeping others alive; defending myself, others and offensive work when necessary. It required full-on awareness of everything going on in the field at once. It was SO FUN! (Even if it drove Imrahil, who was trying diligently to protect me, nuts.)

-I remember, particularly, when Gypsy Lucas was waylaid by dirty tricks. (You know who you were, pretending to be one of us!!!) After my initial shock at it happening, I dragged Lucas out of the general skirmish area. I went back into the fray to continue healing when I noticed out of the corner of my eye, one of our enemies running toward him, swords raised. With a growl I raced back and arrived in time to deflect his swing and drive him back into my comrades so that they could deal with him. No one messes with my gypsy half-bro! Grrr!
(Thank-you for that moment, sir!)

As always, a wonderful time was had, despite the unforgiving weather. Thank-you everyone for your time and effort and participation in making this experience such a delight for us all.
