KR presents your August 2014 awards...
PC:
Leslie's Drow character was beautifully costumed and well role played. We have all come to expect a high level of RP from Leslie as Brigitta, but as a dark elf artist, Leslie showed how well a veteran role player can play multiple characters, so different from one another. She often spoke to others, engaging them throughout the weekend and made several sketches from her drawing kit. Well done Leslie!
Honorable Mention: Nate Rich got everyone's attention as his "Nameless Sylph." Nate's new PC drew in PC's around him with solid RP. His speechless and animated methods to communicate with townspeople proved to be very noticeable. And when he wasn't able to communicate in that way, his intense efforts at struggling through the written word really helped him stand out and was done at a consistently high level throughout the event. He was able to create a very deep and very active character who others enjoyed interacting with. Great Job Nate!
NPC:
Harley played a child named Elizabeth for the Lord Fallow plot line. She entered game as a scared little girl and as able to RP what seemed to be a full background of stories that wove a believable backstory for her NPC. She cried real tears, taught PC's a lullaby, clutched her burlap pig like a teddy bear and acted frightened about what might become of her. What got people most is how she made so many different PC's care about her and take time to interact with her to spread her story.
Player:
Reece Arbia gets the nod this month for his hard work in bringing the Black Bird Tavern into being. The once, seldom used space became a living, breathing and dark shady bar for PC's to experience. He worked tirelessly at cleaning cups, filling bottles, cleaning up, keeping things looking IG all while having to make trips back and forth from the kitchen to under the barn to make sure the "bar" was well run and stocked to keep players hydrated and fed. His OOG dedication spoke volumes about his dedication to improve the atmosphere of the game by the emersion of the site.
Cabin:
The Mage's Guild really made an impression this month. Those involved with its detailing really pulled out all the stops. From putting up curtains, the arcane baubles set about the space to strings of lights lining the room, it brought those who entered to a magic place within Travance, especially at night when it was well lit with numerous tea lights. Despite several players living in the building, it was kept IG at all time. A great job by all!
