OH! Forgot one!
Post-game Strength plus 1-ing Sean's car with Brenden and 5 other people! Seriously, more reasons to love this game. You scream 'We need some help here' and people come running. It's almost like we're used to fighting monsters.

Kaladonia mod. Becoming the embodiment of Plague was amazing. Boasting and insulting all of Kaladonia, from the squires to the Lord himself was a joy. The aspects, and the trees themselves were all brilliant. It was a trippy hippie affair to be remembered, and I'm glad to be a part of it, even if that part is as the death-wheezing monstrosity that exists to troll you.
The Cheveyo (I probably spelled that wrong) as portrayed by Chris, Chris, and Chris were incredible. They're a wonderful addition to the barbarian canon at KR and I really badly want as much info on their culture and stuff as possible to add to our info on Knight Realms barbs.
The circle of shields was everything I wanted, from the boasts, to the fight.
The seer work by Chris Langevin was great, he said it was his first big rp role and he NAILED it. The costuming and attention to detail was incredible.
The Stag, by all who played it, was completely awesome. I've never had such a haunting NPC presence throughout the course of the game.
The guard were great, even if we are a boisterous brand of goons sometimes. We get stuff done! Like making the barracks into a freakin fortress, and making market faire a lot less pickpocket-tastic.
Roleplay with Bolton was incredible, as was all the scenes with Conor, especially the mutual journey inside Grimkjell's mind with Ilana tag-teaming against his invader. Garret and Conor blew me out of the water with a fun challenge for a man who just destroys everything he faces physically, and forced him to be clever.
Lobotomy, Amnesia, and of course the incredibly intense roleplay between Grim and Tobias as Tobias diagnoses and begins to cure grim's madness was all fabulous.
Gideon's advice to grim to name his sword, and then the naming of it on Sunday was fabulous. Ravendoom, a name that was earned well.
Going into the weekend resolving to face and destroy Vark, and doing just that during main mod. It made grim feel less boastful and more like a hero, if only for a moment (though Billiam will take a great deal of the credit).
Being accepted back into the Heargen clan, and then a moment of terror as Grim hears Big Sister is coming for him.
Helping the Seneschal realize he already has his Practicals.
Choosing to be a Northman above all other things.
The reversal of being the hopeful one when Caldor was in despair.
Realizing the ritual was too easily disrupted, and being unable to scout other sites until a tactical withdrawal had been made to the inn, as Grim knew he would be exposed. Being told he and Caelvan were in charge of the town's battle strategy once more, and improvising once the new information came to them. It wasn't perfect, but it worked. Travancians are like herding cats.
Chasing bolton tirelessly not to bring him in for a crime, but to bring him mercy and right a wrong, only to find out he'd already escaped, and the bittersweet unresolution of the moment sinking in.
Magnus was superb, I won't spoil what he did, but the confrontation between him and the Seneschal was incredible.
Many thanks to Kirsten and Garret and everyone else who was involved in the event. Due to my own illness it was not my favorite due to exhaustion, but from a narrative perspective this one was the best in terms of story for Grim start to finish.
In the end, a man's got to be realistic.
Teaching on Sunday was a joy, teaching another Marauder, teaching someone to be a masterful warrior, surprising people with the nature of my lesson, then teaching tracking as the day wore on.
The anger that came from seeing the treason paper, and the deeper treason that was the Huntress' personal calling out of the guard.
There was a moment of absolute beauty, as I climbed the hill near ostcliff, and looked out over the lake. Camp Sac is achingly beautiful, and we rarely get a chance to slow down and revel in it.

Oh and everything Cameron Johnson did as Leif was incredible. He is the deep-voiced primal urge that grim forgets sometimes. The Northman he strives to be, much as Magnus is the person he strives to be like.

Billliamm's midlife crisis the weekend after coming to the realization he aged 3 years in about 4 months of game time making him as old as Collin.
1. Being the damsel in distress really made Billliamm question if he had what it takes to be a hero still. He recalls owing his life to healers quite often when in the Abyss and/or dangerous places he shouldn't be.
2. The monster within sometimes comes out when people disrupt him doing his job...Swyft...but he still has a conscious and feels guilty am I right Swyft.
3. Trials were amazing thank you Chris Zipeto for one of the most intense fights I have ever been in. Plus the bone casting and my amazing team of Gun, Orion, and Croi. Would quest again with fellow adventurers.
4. Singing to the elk to.prove to people I was an animal whisperer and I could do what my druid/ranger family could out childness.
5. Amazing main mod followed by amazing main mod part 2 electric boogaloo Katie you were tougher looking then garret. I just didn't want to fight you, a bit intimidated when magic strike bounced off you. Garret I fought you to the point of physical exhaustion and would do it 100 more times. It was some of the best combat rp I could ever hope for.
6. Crashing a sophisticated party to bring some class into it the only way billliamm can
7. Headlocking an undead, while explaining how great billliamm is. That was him regaining his confidence and reassurance. Hey some people buy a car some people get a 3 horned circlet to gore friends and enemies with.
8. Much needed massage after main mod.
9. Then of course the shinanigans right before main mod involving coffee and a few pats on the back, bravo rp all around. I enjoyed Sunday with the more rp it promoted.
10. Talks with Edwin so good. Swyft getting to see behind the story Billliamm projects, it was awesome not many people get see behing the mask.

Overall it was a bit of a light event for me, but I was happily able to fit in some fun RP for Ketryn.
-Delicious genuine frustration at being told that some goals are just too dangerous right now and then a twinge of fondess at the realization that at least some friends really do have her back.
-Another hilarious confrontation with "that dirty wild mage who's always around." (thank you for humoring me)
-Meeting Lady Jade for the first time, finally. "Hello, Jade. I've heard about you." "Hello, Ketryn, I've heard about you too" followed by some intense staring and later finding out that Ketryn will actually need to win her trust for reasons and goals. Oh boy. Thanks Padma!
-Fun fun vision quests, Tumbling lessons with Billiam that actually resulted in us practicing front flips in the soft snow and Ketryn's horror at being singled out by a roll of the bones when she'd rather stay in the background for most everything. Hey now, the "random" dice rolls kept selecting us redheaded gals. It was very cold, but major props to the NPCs who braved the weather for hours to set up such a fantastic experience!
-The "eye trouble" at last culminating in violently interrogating a poor, unsuspecting Astrid who happened to round the corner at just the wrong (just the right) time only to be thrown under the bus. Ketryn finally stopped screaming at her with some prompting from Swift and the realization that all of Alisandria had actually stopped talking to stare.
-Trying to explain the concepts of Money and Love to Macha.
-Casually pointing Grim and co in the direction Bolton had fled in the hopes that he'd meet a horrific execution only to feel disappointed when told that they'd wanted to help him out.
-"Hey Lord Gideon, how are things in Kaladonia? Everything OK over there lately?"

With the advent of winter, I had to become more of an ice pirate for this event. We were short a priest and several others, but the crew held together strong. (or maybe froze together?) I should expect nothing less! That new barbarian race is terrifying. Wonderful portrayal on the NPCs part. This event was less combat-intensive but still productive for me. I got all my in-game errands done!!
All in all, it’s been a fun event, and I look forward to many more! It goes to show that even in winter, KR is still the highlight of my month! Get in touch with me between events so I can learn everybody's names, and let's make beautiful character interactions together.
- Friday, being an exploding goblin was, how can I say… a blast. *flips on shades*
- Saturday picked up productively. According to my full-time NPC buddy, Collin could be located anywhere in Travance because of how his voice carries. I can only attest so far. I went great lengths to sit on every piece of furniture wrong and stand on every table and chair in the Inn.
- I think I got honorarily inducted into a family of gypsies. Papa gypsy’s taken a shine to me, but I’m still depositing my money in the bank from now on. There’s safety in numbers, especially when nearly all of them lie like bearskin rugs.
- Yelling at the lord of Dreagamire was a privilege few indulge in and live. "I don't give a peg-legged, starfish FART..." Now I have legitimate reason to give Steve Oros nasty looks around camp.
- A very touching monologue from a drow healer whose name eludes me. If you see yourself mentioned, speak up!
- I think my ship got confiscated and now I'm moving cargo for Krow? Crow?? Get in touch with me, I want to know what I'll be doing about that.
- CADE WORRIED US ALL when he exchanged himself to torture worshippers for a scroll at the tower. Worth every second of suspense. Speaking off – you NPCs during that shift were on POINT. We were all pissing ice spears because of you. Thanks for making this event so much cooler. (all ice puns intended)
- Valanye’s finding and bringing more teachers to Collin he doesn’t approve of. I can’t wait to see how she grows as a player and a character.
- Got attacked by rats. They cleaned my coconut purse out dry aND TOOK MY BACON AND ICE WINE.
- I enjoyed stories by the fire Saturday night. Amizar and Creepy Bard Minor (the associate of Creepy Bard Major) tell awesome stories if you ever get a moment to sit with them.
- Escorted Morgan (the PC) back to Winterdark and got to talk her ears off the entire way. This was a great event for establishing a reputation among the other players. I also met Gills the ogre, it was comforting to bond over nautical nonsense with another pirate deep in the winter!
- The bards that sang at feast were SO TALENTED. I AM A BIG SHAMELESS GROUPIE FOR YA'LL. maybe not necessarily in character bUT STILL.
- Collin almost got arrested twice, (once for grave robbing, once for threatening Aleister) but now he’s free as a bird to wreak havoc again. One of these arrests interrupted Na’ar’s lessons, but I got to be condescending towards a guard member, which is always worth the strife.
All in all, it’s been a fun event, and I look forward to many more! It goes to show that even in winter, KR is still the highlight of my month! Get in touch with me between events so I can learn everybody's names, and let's make beautiful character interactions together.

OMG I completely forgot something, and forgot to put it in with my quote of the month submission....
Billiam told caldor about a new type of magic....
"Its an Ancient form of Blood Magic.
You have to cast it with your hands.
Its main spells are:
'Transmute Urine into Blood' [PUnches Target in Kidneys]
'Dispel Teeth' [Punches Target in Mouth]
'Shatter Limb' [Punches Target in Arm]
'Immobilize' [Punches Target in Spine]"
I laughed so hard.

this was seriously a really rough event for me. health issues triggered by people made this a seriously rough event for me. But still, there were a few highlights...
Telling the "water go down the hole" story to people. Last time my three year old watches Tiny Toon Adventures.
Backsassing captured vanir. "Ye want to know where the elk is?"
"Yes."
"UP YOUR ARSE AND AROUND A CORNER!"
Finally getting manacles after SIX months of asking.
All of the assistant.
fighting with two broken legs. Still crawling after Vanir NPC trying to kill it off, then yelling "BREAK ME LEGS WILL YA? I'LL KICK YE TO DEATH OUT OF SPITE!" To which Grim says "Shut up, and get healed!"
Kleidin teaching Dissect.
Crit lesson. Holy shit, Josh is a good fighter.
All in all, I find myself pretty frustrated trying to advance the PC past "I hit things with a sword, drink and make whisky." to actually being a well rounded character. not sure why, but it is really frustrating, dismaying and generally irritating.
Till next time, Wear your seatbelt, don't run with scissors, and try to carry some water with you in game.

Didn't get to do everything I wanted to this event, but it was still excellent!
Friday:
Annora's first trip to the Abyss, going on the rescue mod.
Drew: "upheaval!"
Everyone circling around him: "Catlike grace/earth anchor/etc"
later...
Drew: "upheaval upheaval upheaval upheaval!"
Everyone: "How many was that?"
Drew: "However many it takes to get you people back!"
New goal: learn better ways to insult the jailer. Teach me your ways, Arden! (what could possibly go wrong?)
NPC:
-Troublesome Veneir are troublesome, mwahaha
-Getting to play a true warlock for Tim. PCs, thanks for putting up with me.
Saturday:
Learning my first warrior mastery, helping teach weapon skills, and some fun sparring.
Meeting with Calo!elk on the path Saturday morning.
Is that elk flying?!
Main mod:
I only include this because Tim didn't get hurt, but Philidin had the best arcing blow slay ever. It may have involved a charge, slide on ice, tumble, and roll right in front of the mass of charging NPCs. We're just going to pretend that was on purpose, because it looked freakin cool.
Ib, and later Tsoli, using their sorcery wands to pewpewpew their respective favorite spells at the Veneir.
Bill: "So, since he's shooting incinerates and I'm throwing tsunamis, does that make us the Song of Ice and Fire?"
Me: "Well, considering the death toll in those books, you're not far off..."
Post main mod, I go upstairs to dump my gear/cloak in preparation for going to the bathroom. But before I can, the distinctive sounds of combat ensue. That annoying sense of responsibility kicks in, and I put aside my bladder to go fight.
Proceed to beat the metaphorical stuffing out of skeletons, all while ranting "I JUST WANTED TO GO TO THE BATHROOM!"
In the center of Drega'room, there stands a life-sized statue of Nalick Underhill, striking a heroic pose, forged entirely from 100 bars of solid copper.
-worth 10 gold.
Aleister: "that's the secret to sorcery!"
Annora: "What, shenanigans?"
Aleister: "You have to go CRAZY!"
Awkward turtle squires of Drega'mire.
Sullenoff Weavebreaker.
Deciding not to go to bed, and ending up at stupid o'clock with Ven, Arabeth, Arden, Danny, and Sindarion at various points. Including a whole bunch of crazy goblins and kobolds demanding the end of winter.
Sunday:
Glitter ceremonies.
Maul lesson with Gideon and Typhon. Channeling our totems was totally the best way to learn that lesson.
Cheesecake, courtesy of Alisia.

-Being glad that my being terrible with verbals didn't totally break the mod Zach, Kayla, and Matt worked their butts off on.
-Dave M's additions to the Barracks = Best altar I've seen yet!
-Discovering what I thought was just a good rp chat was my teaching a lesson.
-Lessons w/Luis are always good! Glad to have you back brother!
-Overseeing Market Faire; Now with less pick pockets! We've got ourselves some eager new Privates in the Baronial Guard!
-Main mod on team Drega'mire + Rowan = wow, we're pretty well balanced here! Even with two battle commands, and two beastiary lectures still taking every cripple and slay to come my way. Thankfully, our healers, priests, bards, druids and of course Quan Liu are on their toes! Veneir finally giving me a reason to use my promo.
-Dr. Darkwood discovering how to make Imrahil purr.
-Some good character defining rp with Tobias in the bar kitchen.
-Travance seekers of truth induction with Amizar, Gwynedd, and Nalick.
-Late night solo flight back to the barracks with all the combat efficacy burnt off my card. Cloak of the green saving my hide. Zathir - "Uh, detect life." "Life detected, now if only you could figure out where..."
-Creepiest healer (sorry, never learned your name) being a little too into the idea of Karkat turning his skull inside out. o.o
-As usual, the things I meant to, but didn't get done... And the delightful little diversions that led to it.
-Making sure all the cars stuck past Pendarvin got on their way home with Cameron, Abby, Josh, Michaela, Jeff, and a few other single shot Str +1's.
Great event folks, let's do it again soon! Staying out of the doghouse means I'll miss y'all next month, but I'll see you in March!

Hmmmm…. Light event for me in terms of participating in mods. Somewhat by choice for some of it, passed over for other stuff…. But I did get the benefit of watching others try to deal with/solve some of what was happening. And some excellent PC development came of it....
If I forgot someone here, it is soooooooooo not intentional.
Friday night-
Walking and exploring places near the Inn. Ambush on the road to ostcliff was a fun fight and let me know I am better with small weapon than I thought- having been disarmed of my bastard sword at the very start of the fight. 4 on 1 odds sucked but I’m happy I made you npc’s work hard to bring me down. My thanks to Buckles and the Alisandrians who showed up to chase off the barbarians before they killed me.
The subsequent hunt for the barbarians who stole my sword…. Became rather epic as no less than 14 others in five groups joined in the hunt for Balance. The poor barb that was finally caught with it by Billingham… I almost felt sorry for that one.
Almost.
Argyle’s Confession to Duncan on the stress of leadership…. Made Duncan proud of his fellow blackwatch for admitting his limitations… A wise man knows them and knows when to ask for advice/help. The growing of Forest’s very cocky Celt continues…
The Oops on something Wylla did not know. Duncan’s reply to asking how he could drop that bomb: “I thought she knew…. Being around each other all the time, ye think she would have…”
A talk with Lorelai at 2am… a heartfelt, meaningful and hopefully a morale-boosting one for her in the trials she is to face.
Saturday….
Many attempts to talk with Gideon about a number of things… and being interrupted every time. I swear, I don’t know how folks know when he is talking to someone 1 on 1- twice, there was absolutely no one around and ten seconds into a talk, bam. I wonder if he were to go out to the Slab for a talk if this would still happen.
Small Council/Lords Meeting… Watching the collection of wide or narrowed eyes at words spoken- then the level of surprise and shock at the final bombshell. Everyone in that room got a lesson as to how much some persons know because they watch and listen. The information is out there and has been…
Talk with Wylla that afternoon about what she did not know- and explaining that she needed to be the one to watch for a slide to darkness and try to stop it from happening. I know the promise to help end the slide if she couldn’t stop it didn’t sit well with the healer but its nae a nice universe.
Valenye and the Grasp With Roots Lesson. My thanks to Keavy for her assistance with this…. And now knowing the good Captain Hayes doesn’t approve of me teaching her crewwoman appeals to my darker sense of humor. Morgan, you are warned…. *wink*
Main Mod was Safety Marshalling for me… and glad for it.
“Ghetto Combat Medicine”… The look on Stacy’s face with that term said meant an explanation was needed… and the mad giggling from Kate made that explanation both fun and difficult to do. Thankfully, very little was necessary.
Between head shots, concussions and one coldweather injury case, we Safety Marshalls were kept mad busy… and GCM was not necessary.
My very heartfelt thanks to every one of you who stepped up when someone went down and kept watch yourselves with the treacherous terrain. Your efforts made Safety's jobs that much easier and I cannot thank you guys enough.
Post Main- Walking the road back to Winterdark meant going by the Barracks and the numerous fights that sprung up at that crossroads. Made for a hectic time of it.
Sunday-
up and at em… and catching Gideon for our conversation about Brazen. Interruptions AGAIN happened as the inn all of a sudden got busy as soon as we started talking… but the conversation did happen…. And as a result, a new priest is in town, brazen help us all.
More lessons- this time with swords. Glad to give them glad to have students willing to be taught by me and glad players appreciate the stories that go with the lessons. Part of the teaching is Roleplay and for me, it’s a big part of teaching/learning skills for my PC.
Sparring is always fun too…. Which reminds me- Annora and Duncan need to do that again. The little bit we did when she was teaching another was fun and needs to happen more- if only for the banter alone.
The brief talk with Caldor on the failure of Travance to prevent the Elk’s death. That event, despite the rebirth, is going to bite Travance and the Northmen in the ass this year… perhaps like no other event short of the creation of Bloodtide. I know where I’d go with it were it one of my D&D campaigns and the story marshals here are far more creative than I am. This is gonna get far worse before it gets better. My opinion on the mpg of this- your mileage will vary.
Good event, cold event and so many possible repercussions as a result of successful and failed acts… I look forward to the future events to see what comes next.

Thank you thank you thank you! How did I forget to write that? Y'all were wonderful
Also a thing I forgot... While sitting at the Small Council meeting on Saturday morning....
Rudolph: On to this matter of treason...
Grim: *appears out of nowhere* Did someone say treason?

I had to leave mid Saturday because I wasn't feeling well but I had a great time for the time I was there.
Friday As Ciel:
-Introducing myself to peeps, this was really my main goal with Ciel that weekend so I accomplished it but I also definitely accidentally ignored presenting myself to one of the cardinals. Oops.
-Not being mistaken for Ava.
As Ava:
-Very very short time with Orophin but that is the RP of that. Somehow being told that both of them were KOS when she first got there with him and Ava being like "Okay are you going to attack me then?" Followed by laughter.
-Talks with Zelretch. Zelretch threats. Ava laughs. More Zelretch threats. Ava threats. Zelretch adding Ava's threats to the list of his threats.
-Detached angry talk at Rudolph about Orophin. Angry Ava is Angry. But of course nothing changed.
-Ava learning a LOT from Illana this event. A LOT. Really changes her perception of the town.
-Talk with Nalick
Nalick:"You got to be pulling my leg."
Ava:"What?"
N: "You know it's a-"
A: "An idiom I know. But why would I be joking"
N: "Because I can't believe you would do that."
-That same talk where Ava discussed both murdering people AND making people wear scarves so they don't get sick in the same sentence.
I can't wait for next month! Always love rp drama while Ava is in the midst of changing.

I am going to miss out on some awesome role plays and I am so sorry for that. It was intense and by far my best event.
Pre Event Game Night: I got to sit down and talk with so many of you and ask questions and learn how to Role Play certain things properly. Luis, Charlie, Tinney, and Lez all talking about the history of KR and just where I belong with my PC.
Friday Night: I was tasked with coordinating the Baronial Guard movements and investigations. To ALL of you that helped me, thank you. Tobias has become Argyle McCoy`s ally and partner in fighting crime in Travance. I'm use to follow ups, heading field investigations, apprehensions, patrols, and rescues, but leading and running it all from a fixed point, forget about it! I have a new found respect for Nobles and Officers in the Guard. You HAVE to trust your people to do the right thing when no one is watching, and sometimes they will really go above and beyond. Larry...Thank you for letting us work through that mess.
My first time in Frederick Mod, wow can you say bogged down. Great role play, and the loss of Erik was felt by so many. Alex, brother if I could have saved you, know that I would have. It kept me on my toes the whole time, from fighting, to healing, to trying to find a way to save an Angel. Maveith (Golilith to the new heroes of Travance) we finally got our Team Up!!! You go hard. Matt thanks for running such a Bad Ass Mod for us, glad to be a part of it.
Then the Night Watch Patrols...I think I hugged the life out of Will(VC Oren) Mavieth and Syft joined us for the patrol and fun insured. It was great running with you all and seeing the other side of the Guard, even if more toned down.
Saturday: The Clergy Meeting went really well. Solid Role Play at times, it was the first time I really got to interact with more seasoned clerics, Templars and Priest. Other than LT Cooper, Brother Aldric, and the Bash Bros of Seamus and Bran.
We did a ton of patrols...more shenanigans with Mother Remi.
TOWER MOD FOR THE LAST TIME!!!!
I was going to set it off and help heal...but of course Matt Defranza had the perfect bait, and I fell for it, way to make me remember my verbals and rules! Low and behold, I see Katie and Cooper( the bane of my PC as an NPC) with so many of my friends as they the get their Aguaran on and proceed to use real torture techniques on me. Katie your a Vet sister...but you and Cooper did your home work. Since the cat in out of the bag, I graduated from S.E.R.T. School, save for killing me and stuff we can't do at KR, you pulled out the stops. I needed a minute or two after that. GREAT JOB TO ALL IN TOWER! I came into my own as a PC, you jumped me in, and I will always remember it. Oh, Mary Rose you screams are just bone chilling girl.
Camp and Kitchen clean up...I don't want to talk about it. I saw more of what the Marshalls have to deal with and I am sooo not going complain about certain things EVER AGAIN, took shower and went off into the night as Main Mod was finishing up. Grim was a beast all weekend. The Tessa and Wylla showdown, Thanks Duncan! I have a silver tongue at times, however Wylla just shut me up so fast I didn't know what to do.
Speaking with The Knights of Ostcliff...
I taught Jed a lesson, before that, the last time I saw Jed was him saving my bacon from demons. I am not a perfect role player, but know that I gave that my all Judge. I work on it between and at game, I'm getting better.
Letting go of my pride and watching Vice Cpt Oren and Head Mistress Tari just decimate foes.
Louis Maxwell and I finally got to sit down and talk.
Sunday: saw Brother Aldric`s Barracks Altar work, if you haven't seen it, you may want to or just talk about Valos(shameless plug)
My second master warrior lesson, Will and Dianna, WOW. That was so deep that was the perfect lesson for where my PC is.
Talks with Lorelai, it was nice to discuss with another fellow hunter what just it means to be one. It gave me a lot to reflect on, it seems Agrgyle has a new ally in the endless fight.
Mavieth`s Master Warrior training...a poem? From the Lt Grim. BEST SECRET LESSON PLAN EVER, no one saw that coming, the RP was great.
As always, trying to receive Master Cypher`s council on matters of State.
Looking out a window and watching Arkelian get Mollywomped by 1/5 of the town....30 minutes later still watching it from the porch...then again from the Monastery.
Thanks to ALL the staff, best event of mine yet. That's it, I'm done...I had a blast and wanted to share it with y'all.

Let's start at the beginning.
Pre Lay on, Definitely making an ass out of myself confusing people.
First NPC shift, being the first group to go out as the barbarians, fun times save for the ice rink that was the road to Winterdark. Playing a bouncer for the blackbird, reminds me why I lay low lol. Having Goose implant suggestion me to leave the inn but then gathering a bunch of barbarians to attack the smokers, sorry Charlie.
Oh dark 30, making a fresh divot in the snow at Pendarvin.
Saturday morning, woke up without being attacked and did some of my typical hey who needs things made gig. Leaving the barracks to find the elk right outside. It was odd to try to roleplay with something that doesn't talk. Having a moment of wow maybe I should worship mother nature after the elk blesses me with barkskin and it's used not 6 minutes later to defend against a rat bite.
Guarding at market faire (if you've never had a sandwich from Charlie S., you best change that) and having a good RP session with Imrahil which leaves me to believe I need to work on getting my point across a little better next time.
Roleplaying with brother Aldric to find information about the gods. And standing guard/ soul searching while he naps. Multiple people coming into the barracks asking for strange things, btw Nalick, Will produced the baking sheets during cabin clean up.
Tower mod, Once again, getting my ass kicked and pissing people off with my tower shield. Feeling useful for once cause I got to field repair. Playing blocker to get people up and out. Realizing that my cousin is still in there and then I got pissed off cause my character wanted to go back but my body said fool no.
Missing the meat at feast, the veg option still very good and the post feast clean up.
Sunday morning, woken up by grim, then vampires came in and wrecked most of us up. The ice elementals, not so much.
Going to the inn for the chainmail class Edmund put together, very cool, thank you and it's always a pleasure RP with ya.
Post KR diner experience, definitely a good time, wish I could do it again next event.

I am far overdue for an event recap. As in this is my first one. Yiss.
Starting off with Friday NPC shift:
I became the king of both busted asses and moves on the ice. Fell more times than I'd like to admit.
I ended up getting tortured as an NPC. Our group took Duncan's sword in a tussle we got in near Ostcliff. Through multiple insults I was caught and tortured. Twice. The NPC group got separated so I really wasn't lying when I said I had no idea where the sword was. That tidbit didn't save my NPC's life though.
Saturday's shenanigans:
I had the misfortune of breaking my streak. I am usually up before everyone else in the cabin and end up terrifying someone while putting on my face and getting ready. I actually got good sleep this event and missed my cue. Dang.
Nemuth took the first step to academia, and learned the proper ways of being a scholar from Amizar and Miss Maxwell. Any more learning from Amizar and I would have picked up the proper way for lady chasing... (Costs 2 build?)
*Nemuth has, by far, well outdid himself this event. His slightly dark sense of humor had him make quite a grand entrance to what happened to be a meeting of knights, lords, and even the Seneschal. It is hands-down my favorite story to tell about Nemuth and was easily the crowning moment of my character. (So far)
I actually went on the tower mod. It was out of character because Nemuth is adamantly adverse to almost all things martial, but I figured there is only a certain amount of times I could go on it. It was fantastically done and I applaud every person associated. That was the first time I truly feared losing a life tag. I blew every healing point I had sans one. It was the little heal point that could.
I met Chris Zipeto this event, and he said quickly he was a Storyteller/RP Marshall and wanted to talk after the Tower mod. I feared that my character had something fishy and might get a rules violation or something else not happy. He ended up asking my character story because he likes all things strange, and gave some great ideas on what I could do for my character that I am (time and finances allow) definitely going to add before next event.
Sunday:
Karkat beckoned me over and asked something of me. Karkat asked if he could invert my skull and replace it back in my head. The group he was with consisting of Swyft, Imrahil, and a few others, had a collective look of sheer terror and dismay, strongly suggesting I do not let him. I did not agree- but I did not refuse, and watched as both sides desperately tried to get me to not listen to the other. I gave Karkat permission, but the condition that afterwards I could re-emerge in whatever fashion I wish and he took back his offer near instantly.
This was a glorious event.
The only minor lowlight was a wide swing of a shield hitting my staff caused one gem to come loose and the other fall out of the skull's eye sockets. So he's temporarily blind. And he's also dead.

Oh, man, this game was a fun one.
Coming into game portaling in from Coast Haven with George and Ilana. Yay wild mage adventures! And to think we only burned down ONE building!
Guessing early on that I'd be pretty useless against the barbarian tribes... and all the ignore magics and spell cleaves I saw certainly proved me right. But that didn't stop me from getting involved or having a good time!
Kaladonia mod! Yip yip!
Late night drunkenness at the bar, all the while telling tales of adventures, Lorestri, and Baronesses past to new players. Thank you guys for being such awesome role-players! Any time you want me to dump lore on your heads, lemme know!
Finding out that there were wild mages getting sacrificed to Miranda quickly dampened the mood.
Boryev's clever plan of disguising someone as an elf, and then immediately going outside and shouting "Elk!" was not a good idea when the Cheveyo were right outside. Needless to say, they didn't take kindly to the joke.
Undergoing the trials of the Cheveyo, and while failing at most of them, two moments of the trial stood out.
When Sindarion asked for the shaman to cast the runes for him after failing to draw the elk rune, all of them turned up blank. He went on to explain that that meant his fate was unwritten and that it was up to him to write his own story, and that he hoped he would use it in favor of the Cheveyo. Seeing the confusion on the shaman's face was interesting, and made Sindarion realize that it's as much of a responsibility as it is a freeing thing. It was a sobering moment for him.
And then peyote happened. "MY STIIIIICK!"
Many thanks for Teresa and Jen for letting me be the impromptu bass for "A Bar in Travance!" We definitely need to sing more songs like that in game, and that applies to Tori and May as well!
NPC SHIIIIFT!
Oh my goodness, playing an Aguarran high priest was wonderful.
The epic one-on-one with Templar Rayven was ultimately what threw out my voice for the rest of the weekend, but man, oh, man, it was worth it. "WHY WON'T YOU DIEEEEEEE"
Oh, wait, so did that little torture sesh with Silas CROOOOOOOONE
Keeping the same stats during the bigger main mod battle was even better. Having a larger group and roughly 300 faith points and continuous arc-casting meant ALL THE BLADE OF VICTORIES. Red, Blue, and Green, ftw
Finding Grimkjells helmet on the ground, then donning it as an NPC... then Angeliana and Astrid brought me back up, thinking I was him. Whoops. ARCING SURGE CAST PAIN PARALYSIS, YAAAAAY
Highlight of that battle was definitely approaching that group in the back of the battlefield, asking if anyone was hurt... "So none of you are in pain? Let's change that."
Also giving Belegor the best curse ever.
Saturday post-midnight actually brought on a touching scene between Sindarion and Gregory. For a short while, he actually started to see Gregory in a new light... and then he played the whole "psions are better than everyone else" card. Nevertheless, great scene. Well played, indeed.
Sunday was relatively uneventful, but all the learning that happened made up for it. DAT LORE.
And finally, getting arcing cast. Only one step away from getting Absolute Power... then next stop, ELEMENTAL WARDEN

Oh boy what an event. I just want to take a moment to make another shout out to all the storytellers and coordinators for this event because even though I wasn't a barbarian, this story still felt really immersive and fun to be a part of, both as an NPC and a PC. And, of course, a shout out to all the players fantastic role play, to which the game would be nothing without.
Now onto the goodies.
Now onto the goodies.
- Fredrick Mod was fantastic once again, thank you Matt for all you do for the newer players making awesome stories for them to be a part of that make us feel badass without completely overwhelming us. Great role play from Matt and Ricky.
- Winter night patrols are always cool! haha... I'll stop. The snow storm and the midnight fights with the Vinir were really awesome to be a part of, until I started getting hypothermic...
- Waking up in the middle of the night to "Killing Blow 3, Killing Blow 4, Killing Blow 5... I start looting your body, check your pockets... OH GOD I KILLED MAVEITH! I NEED A HEALER!!"
- Being a vinir roaming around as a badass Dragoon Beserker double heroic triple master warrior. Laughing at my 420 body. Swinging for 60's with puncture armor for days.
- Taking part of tower mod making the newer players sweat for their money and taking part in the torturing of Forest. Much torture, such pain, wow.
- The feel of a warm barracks after being in the cold NPC'ing for 6 hours.
- The look on my face when I casually walk up to dispatch a rowdy bunch of ogres to eat a roundhouse incap to the face followed by my limbs getting rended like I was stuck in a meat grinder.
- Chasing an illithid only for a fight to be teased in front of my face and then taken away.
- Arden trying to diffuse a sticky situation involving kobolds, goblins, winter, spring, snow, and SCIENCE!
- "Snow is just frozen water!" states Arden "LIES LIES LIES" screech the goblins.
- Arden then sending the goblins north by accident telling them they'll find a nice warm place if they go there.
- All the early morning training on sunday with great roleplay.
- Legitimately blocking Steven's attack with my eyes legitimately closed while learning how to blind fight. I did not expect me to do that lol
- Getting the crap beat out of me by some ten different people to learn resilience and pretending to be a badass at the end of it.

A ton of my favorite moments have already been reported from the other side, so I'll try and stick to the big ones.
-Another thank-you to everyone who came to check on Londwyn Tent. Not Getting Crushfrozen is a fantastic perk.
-Debuting Pioneer Surgeon. Ironically, the graveyard was too snowed over for me to make my way out there during the event, but I made use of everything else. Definitely standing at a character crossroads in terms of where to go next!
-Some amazing conversations with people I knew decently which I got to know way better. Lois and Imrahil were the big ones.
-Grimkjell's Amnesia. Being personally familiar with a patient may give you more information, but can make the treatment even harder. Was a great scene.
-Londwyn Pre-party party!
-This event seemed to be more about what amazing things I saw and less about what I did. Attending Great Council was terrifying in a unique way. Seeing 3 of Travance's greatest in a shouting match on the road was something else.
-Doing some unique work with the Guard, despite my odd position in the ranks.
- Dang, Elk. You Majestic. The weather definitely helped amplify the feeling.

I'M NOT GOING TO REMEMBER EVERYTHING I'M SORRY also, this is probably not going to be in order, I apologize in advance.
-Saturday morning finding no one I was looking for, but running into Swyft and having a conversation with her about Jed and co.
-Following Jed around as he learned about all the different Light Gods and explaining for him what his Mask was.
-The attack on Jed's shack, aka "I'm the only one in the room who can't fight, this wall looks really friendly, Imma hug it"
-Seeing Jade walking silently up the path and staying quiet as she gestured me to, managing to keep a straight face as Swyft and Nalick had heart attacks.
-Reon(?) nearly proposing to Morgan when she handed him a spell rock.
-Volunteering to be a healer for Tower mod cause there weren't enough was the best life decision Morgan ever made. This included such wonderful highlights as Morgan being the only healer on the stealthy side, Morgan having to repeatedly heal around fucking Agguarans, Morgan being volunteered to stay behind as a hostage, Morgan being tortured through people, Morgan being the lucky person who got to figure out that we got the wrong scroll, and Morgan being blood eagled, having elk horns grafted to her skull, and being pinned to a tree across from Pendarvin next to Arkelian's lifeless body, which had the same thing done to it after she got to see him being used as a puppet
-So, I'm guessing people noticed the screams? People were coming up to me about that for the rest of game. My throat's still a little scratchy, but it was totes worth it.
-Being healed, but left blind, deaf, and mute infront of the fire in the in and snapping out of it right before feast
-Finally tracking down the right people to tell we didn't have the scroll
-In the Monastery, getting ready to npc main mod, Morgan's listening to Bellechand(?) telling the barbarians about the fact that there may have been a third scroll that might have had different info in it.
Chis Zipeto's NPC: You! You went to the tower! Where is the third scroll?
Morgan: Aye, I was the one they showed it to and tortured.
I have never heard the Monastery so quiet.
-People coming up and checking to make sure Morgan was all right.
-Reon(?) actually proposing to Morgan, Morgan accepting.
-'Helping' Arkelian learn his perfect focus lesson
IM NEAR DEFINITELY FORGETTING THINGS LOVE YOU ALL THANK YOUUUUUUU

Chris should go be a professional fortune teller. His reading S were great. We had an odd one too... Right after I told him that I had dealt with the fates before, he threw the bones and one stood on its end..

Q: How many people does it take to teach a barbarian how to read?
A: 1 knight, 3 squires, and 1 master of the mages guild.

Playing my new alt and having so many people not know it was me. Thank you to Swift and Astrid for taking the time to bring her into Travance, and thanks to Oren for his earnestness in explaining about the Witchhunter Academy to M'ahkti.
80 gold brownies.
Tower mod and contributing my skin to the Aguarians. Thank you to all the amazingly evil NPCs, I know I am forgetting a few but Reece, Sarah, Jeff and Lauren you were awesome.
Feast - the food was amazing.
Thank you to Katie and Matt for helping with the last minute accommodations in the monastery and to the entire monastery crew for a great space - I was amazed by how well we slept (and an indoor bathroom)! Thanks to Kayla for making Alex hot chocolate - it was much appreciated. Kirsten and Garrett, amazing job on the plot - it was a great event.
