I guess as the big bad of the weekend I get to kick this one off :)

First and foremost, thank you all very much from the bottom of my heart for all the help, support, love and care you gave to John, to run his event with a possibly fractured wrist. He is a stubborn trooper and he worked hard day and night to deliver a weekend full of fun for everyone for months and it showed.
I am so very proud of you John, you kicked ass. It was an awesome event.
The entire July crew from NPCs to RMs who helped out, you guys all rocked too, thank you!

Personal highlights:
~ Despite the pain and tediousness it took to accomplish, I think Ry’lahk’s make up and costuming ended up having the desired effect I wanted it to have. But damn those scelras for the first 15 minutes they are in man…

~ Being trusted with a boss card all weekend not just main mod was scary as hell, not wanting to disappoint John and the other STs and James made me very nervous but I still enjoyed being a big bad and loved adding my own RP flavor instead of just playing the card I was given.

~ The animalistic face off during the rituals Friday night with Keavy. The moment she realized I was an animal, she started making growls etc. as well, and we had this moment of circling around one another weighing each others worth in an entirely primal way (no skills called pure RP) before we ripped into each other. Danny this was totally awesome.

~ Getting fed up with my chieftains’ testosterone match with the battle line front, going around to the back, as rogues do and opening up a can of silent whoop ass. What battle line? :P So glad I did that. Made me feel like a cool boss.

~ All the drums and rituals. I actually felt like an animal shaman the musical effects and nature helped completely submerge us in our roles. I hope it carried over to the PCs as well.

~ Fighting one on one with Annora until Gor started hitting me, me: “WHAT ARE YOU DOING! TIME TO GO!” lol Bill thanks for the friendly fire, you were the only person who actually hurt me. The eye of the storm screaming face to face with Karen. Awesome! People trying to figure out wtf Ry’lahk was before she vanished.

~ Saturday morning nest business. “I smell someone”, me: “Eagle eye, GET IT!” Gregory gets away, comes back with the entire flipping town. Oh, ok fine let’s have an impromptu main mod prequel.

~ Bran getting so mad at Ry’lahk that he told everyone she was his. Ry’lahk was tickled, which is why she proceeded to possess Sheamus to beat on Bran then possessed Bran when he fell as Naysowee was dragging him away. LOL, ty for playing along Joe.

~ All of the armor of horrors holy shit I love that skill. I was waiting for people to throw me horrible shit like Slays so I could re-direct them at their allies :D <3

~ Going after people Ry’lahk observed as strong to turn. I only managed to get a few. But not for a lack of trying! Right Damien? :P Got Torc failed to get Jed, Dimitri, Lord Blackthorne, the Count, Lord Sylus, Aleister, Warlord Barrack. Again, I totally tried.

~ Whoever had the genius idea to hit Alisandria when they were serving steak and had all lords + count + high lvls there… GRRR blew 90% of my defenses and was tapped for that period. Good thing it was right before feast.

~ I’m just going to say, DEATH WHISTLE. I love that thing. Made me feel like a part of a horrible tribe which helped all the rp and getting pumped for main mod chaos.

~ All of the chaos. Sentinels… I hate you in the best way possible. Magnus, Barrak, Aleister, Winks, Cealven, Orion, and friggin Lord Sylus… OW. And that dude who kept hitting me for 50 crits? Holy shit yo. Had to escape from him every time. (Sorry forgot your name).

~ Giggle highlight was turning a few non combat folks (pacified, peaceful etc.) and when they asked me what to do, telling them to drag their allies bodies to me to turn. Dang that was brilliant hehe.

~ Sorry for reincarnating right when you all finally got me! But I RPed a 20min ritual for that specific purpose ;) And since I bailed, you will likely see Ry’lahk again in the future.

It was an absolute pleasure to play a main NPC for a full weekend. I hope you all had a good time, we really did our best to provide a good time for everyone! And as always KR family take care until the next time. <3

Well, I was in the process of starting this off, but...

I'm gonna copy paste a little of what I had already written because typing is rather annoying currently...

Thank you all for coming out and beating on my NPCs for the weekend! I wanted to give a special thanks to: Alex, Bill, Tinney, Forest, Gene, Ben, Alice, Josh, Justis, Rebecca, and everyone else who jumped in to help out or lend a helping hand, (pun intended).

Gus worked his ass off and was all over the place either marshaling or getting stuff together and was absolutely crucial in helping plan and coordinate. Thank you so much and I'm sorry I got things mixed up Saturday night- you were 100% on point this event and leading up to it!

Honors to my Drummers and NPCs: Leslie and the ever musical Jenn Eff!

Hope you all had as much fun playing as my NPCs did and my Marshals did running!

Additionally, if there are item cards or various other things anyone out there still needs me to sign off on ie their character cards please drop me a line so I can make a list of you guys and make sure everyone gets what they need. So far I know there are a few people who NPCed I owe some stuff to and a few PCs that are due some cards.

I will write more highlights at some point but, I wanted to mention a few now while they're still fresh.

Tobias and Co.: Thinking outside the box, that was awesome guys.

Orion: Trapping and tracking, your traps did have an effect, on the NPCs quite significantly A+ Bounty Hunting.

"Burn it all the Mod," Thanks JP

"Burn it all the Mod Part 2, Sunday edition"

Sleeper agents FTW.

Will post more.

Special thanks to the marshals who were either with me during mods or checked in on me periodically. No Stacey, my arm has not fallen off :P

-Getting to play my Sylph for a bit! Thanks to everyone being okay with my parents around. They greatly appreciated the atmosphere of KR vs. 8-10 years ago (I have been going to/visiting this game forever)

-Nigel/Keola talking. It’s terribly fun and going nowhere. At least Sylphs are patient. Still no Terezi though *siiigh*

-Ilana coming back to town: "Gideon told Kleiden and me to burn down the jail" "...Okay then." (This mod had started just as my parents had shown up and I made a very wise decision to play my sylph and just not care)

-Chasing down Tinney by accidentally running into a combat. Apparently succeeding (Also, 'Invoke Windwalker' pretty much helped me win at life this event. And here I was thinking of getting rid of the dang runes. Never going to have that thought again.)

-Ardin trying to explain to... someone how Ilana/him have actually been pretty good friends since they've known each other (except that hiccup when he was a Guildmaster. But, we can glaze over that now)

-Tari pretending she was really mad about the idea of a Wild Mage's Guild but actually being mad at the idea that people might try murdering us and then she couldn't yell at me for being dead. <3

-Manifestation of a sphere of magic? …Cool. Also someone totally dropping the ball on fixing the actual problem.

-I heard rumor of a new wildmage in town, but I never got to meet the guy. Hope one of us met him/he had fun.

-Wildmage Family. Eva and Wren spurring the Mom/Dad conversations and Ilana trying to quiet them down. Never going to live down 7/12’s though.

-Losing all her bite because she had a chance to talk things out.

-Meeting so many NPC wildmages! Ilana happily invited them to join their new establishment. Eva, Wren, and Vanya being a great help to teaching them things. (If you guys don’t mind sending me their names in the future, that’d be great! The New Player’s NPC is really the one I’m not sure how to spell. Your story of static hugs was great!)

-The null is scary. That’s all. So much magic and pain X.x

-Ilana trying her best at not being mad about a student’s life choices and failing horribly. If she befalls a similar fate to what Ilana’s afraid of, she’ll just never forgive her teacher on the subject.

Crazy event, could not have been better. It was extremely RP heavy for me, and those are my favorite weekends. One of the best events I can ever remember.

Friday:
-Meeting the whole family for the first time, and seeing old OOG friends that I haven't seen in years.

-Running all across camp repeatedly trying to find stolen goods.

Saturday:
-Repeatedly getting sent out with Michaela as RP-heavy NPCs. From the "Finest prices this side of the rift!" to Ogres that just wanted to eat some halfling, it was awesome.

-NPC'ing Rogue's Mod. I was sad I missed it, but it was great seeing how everyone handled the situation. And so the legend of Jebediah the (Part-Time) Fisherman was born.

-Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would be able to sit down to a 3-hour picnic without getting killed by Six-Armed Ogre Demons. I'd call out those that yelled at us, but... that would be everyone.

-Singing at the feast. Hope I can do it every event I attend. Always remember to keep it in your pantry.

-Being literally the only person (PC or NPC) without Stealth on a sneaky mod is rough. But never underestimate a dark cloak and natural sneaking ability. The mod running it had NO IDEA I was there until about halfway through.

-I didn't get to eat an undead worm, but I DID get to have the highest stakes blackjack game ever. And I put all the doubters in their place.

-"Croí, I don't think I'm a major player in this. I think I'm just an extra." ...And then getting my song. And boy do I love that song.

-I cannot thank everyone involved in the 1am dinner enough. Seriously, it might be my KR all-time highlight. Jen, you win.

Sunday:
-The whole Maelstrom mod. I may not have contributed in ability, but I was there for moral support and to take all the credit.

-Singing the song. And only THEN did I find out there could be serious repercussions.

Thanks to John and Gus for running the event and the amazing work and dedication of everyone involved. Those makeup jobs for the chieftains were incredible. Alice, those EYES! Beautiful costuming!

Friday night, I got to spend some quality time with Tork. He is one entertaining dude! Our visit with Jed bordered on something between amusing and just plain disturbing. Jed was in a particularly foul mood and did a lot of shouting for very minor infractions... (Rumor is they heard him all the way down at the lake!)

Gus, thanks for the opportunity when blighted to call Jed out to come out and fight me like a man because I was sick of his crap. LOL!
Good thing Angelica was able to calm me down... (Aleister's face was priceless.)

Got to see Karkat and Terez-Psy briefly on Saturday morning. To Swyft's utter delight, Karkat was still wearing the rainbow scarf.

Escorting a happily drunk Nalick to Alisandria was a hoot. I only neutralize drunkenness if wanted or needed!

Ran into Evrat, who I think scared a passing Rowan with all his blustering to me. Your face, Teresa, it was so hard not to crack up! I truly appreciated your concern... aaand the fact that was able to point out to him that you were a witness in case he got any stupid ideas...

Meeting Chop-Chop for his birthday larp weekend! What a cute kid and good little roleplayer! I hope he had a good time!

Papa Gypsy's lesson in a completely legal method of obtaining pure profit.

Swyft and Jun's very confusing relationship. Is this a thing? (Dustin, thank-you, it's all so awkwardly hilarious, I love it!)

Lovely talks with Trent and Edwin!

The awful “conversation” with Evrat at the lake. Oof. That boy ain't right.

Thank-you, Pip! (I hope I remembered your name right) for the lovely rainbow bracelet you made right there on the steps!

Two orcs thought they might try eating a hobbit. (I was so nervous to take on two!) Thankfully I had some backup when Nasowee and the sassy hobbit from Alisandria showed up. Though... I lost an orc when he ran away with my mithril manacles! :( (You're so darn squirrely, Chris!) Magnus took over for the one that we got to the inn and bribed him with food into joining our side. (It was a fantastic scene!)

The copycat Jack Wyllard shenanigans with his “victim.” the Aguarran worshiper. Things got kind of rough over there. Thank-you, Edmund, for escorting me away for that bit to have a drink at the stone bar stone bar bar...bar? Things got a little intense when Bob began questioning him.

Special ops for Magnus. Spending quality time chatting with the (hopefully now former) Aguarran NPC named Gadim and explaining a different perspective. Thank-you to Brother Aldric and his bar mass for happening just as Gadim and I arrived at the inn! Lucky opportunity! (Also, Light gods bring hope and cookies.)

Bovine eyes...

Anorra interrupting Swyft's sword lesson with Evrat. You little devil! <3

Takari got knighted for the barony! Congratulations1

Pox gave Swyft a stuffed spacket cupcake! Oh my goodness, that was such a cute freakin' moment, I really almost exploded! Thank-you!!! Swyft shall treasure it. Even though Magnus tried to eat it. :(

Thrills and chills at main mod! That death whistle was unnerving! Great drum playing by Leslie and Jenn! Both of these things created a very specific ambiance. Even though we were in the familiar field outside of the guard barracks, it felt like we were in a different place, entirely. NPCs you fought as a really functional unit!

Lord Aleister has a lizard tribe, now? Maybe? He at least has a very fabulous necklace...

Drega'mod – The saga continues:: Drega'mire meets the Sassy Sea Witch.
Oh Gamblor. You and your soul stakes Blackjack, you daredevil. You're an inspiration to us all.

More special ops for Magnus... but of a less official kind. It really was a pleasure getting to be part of that. What a nice gesture for the two involved! The looks on their faces when they saw the candlelit table... Aaahh! <3

It also allowed for a very awesome discussion with Magnus. I didn't realize how little Swyft knew about him. Truly inspiring tales. Plus, he gave some much needed reassurance during a particularly confusing time.

Tork's scarily accurate Jed impressions Saturday night had many of us in stitches. And Nalick, too, over Oren's faux fart sounds... (You're adorable.)

Witnessing Magnus giving his new squire some strength lessons, (he carried a pillar out of the barn, haha!) Ending with piggyback rides. For Magnus. Not Croi.
Also, there many fabulous opportunities for lewd comments that had Magnus on the ground at some point...

Vedrane blade things! Maelstrom mod! Eee! Thank-you for running that! I loved how some of the lower level folks who just happened to be around Swyft as the sword was going off just got shanghaied into it. How fun! Good thing we got clever ones, what with the puzzle and all! Danielle you looked AMAZING! I actually had to stop myself from just gazing at the whole ensemble to fight you.
Got to use Vendetta!
ALL of the intercepts!
Forgot to use the one special attack... :(
Everyone worked together so well! Amalthea, thanks for healing me repeatedly!

I know there are some I am forgetting, but know that I treasured every moment with you, KR fam!

SO this event was kind of insane....

-First having a terrifying real life nightmare leading into Friday morning, for Tim to assure me he was fine and would continue to be so ;)
-Feeling kind of ill Friday, thank you to Gene for being so kind to me, and really calming me down and taking care of me
-My absolute failure Friday night, feeling like such a loser, thank you to all of the people who helped me feel better oog, thanks Tim for being so good with my RL crazy. Realizing that as mad as I was at myself, no one seemed to really follow suit ig, thankfully
- Drinking contest!!!!!!!
- "Guys, pirates aren't polite" You guys definitely got better as it went ;)

-Being nervous about the nobles meeting, as there were things that I didn't want to reveal, of course they asked all the right questions, and being surprised they actually weren't as mad at me as I thought they would be.
-Subsequently getting bodyguards who were actually really good at staying with me....which gave me great opportunity to hang out with people that I normally don't get the chance to spend time with, hopefully I get more time with these people again, regardless of whether I need bodyguards or not
-Having a plan of murder, and being so hard on myself.....Gideon destroying both illusions in mere seconds, frustrating on the first, so thankful on the second.
-Telling Lathiel that he was supposed to be my bodyguard and that he let me just eat poison, the complete and udder freezing for a moment of fear that took place.
-Loving the feeling of being powerful enough to be immune to crazy things that are happening to the town lately
-Making members of Kaledonia explain what their interesting language means to a poor little girl, riding in my pocket
-Godrick I need to talk...."what did you do now Tari" Maybe my favorite quote ever...guess you're now comfortable enough with me to understand my craziness :P
-Brian H literally spending over an hour helping me learn to fight before I finally had to say I'm so sorry are you Garrett or Brian. I can now tell them apart but was so embarrassed :P Also when you know you have a good costume ;)
-Late night super secret meeting we don't talk about...thanks to everyone part of that......emotions yea......

-Hating wild mages, Sounds like Illana saw through me mostly :P
-All of the shenanigans with Angelica
-I'm being traded to Dregamire....I feel like a baseball card
-Waking up terrified that John had not taken his arm out of his sling all weekend, cause we forgot to tell him too, and terrified he'd have a new problem
-Just relaxing for once and really getting to laugh and hang out with people
-Brainstorming with James, something I never get the chance to do, and being really excited about the potential results

While I'm still recovering from the heat and all the walking, I can write some of these out.
John, you are both completely insane and a trooper. Way to run your first event with a shot wrist.

-plushie cupcakes MADE OF LIES AND EVIL AND DISAPPOINTMENT
Magnus eating one of the said cupcakes, and then picking fuzz out of his teeth for the next 10 minutes.

-Croi's strength lesson. Piggyback rides!
Pick things up, put them down.

-The dinner date, and all the plotting and planning that went into it.
Magnus: "Annora, would you be up for being one of the bodyguards?"
Annora: "Sure! I might end up making sarcastic comments though"
Magnus: "You make one comment and I'm not teaching you any lessons tomorrow!"
Annora: ….. :( *bites tongue*

-dark salami

-baby bird

-A cool lesson from Magnus. I loved that RP and the visuals you described, Matt.

-Fighting in the jail Friday night, and accidentally burning it down. (Good job George)
Why do things always end up on fire when I go on mods in the barn...

-Maelstrom mod. Dani, your makeup/costuming was awesome! Looking forward to seeing that NPC again!
And kudos to the smart people for actually solving the puzzle :D

-playing Ravani, getting lessons from Amalthea and Elric, and finally vassaling to Kaladonia.
…we shall never again speak of the satyr licking incident.
Amalthea is best Quinarian healer buddy.

-John's Sunday mod, Hurgar attempting to question how Annora doesn't know wall of thorns. I keep forgetting ok?!

-Drega'plot and the interactions with the Sassy Sea Witch. Holy crap Gamblor way to win. Without using any second chances.

-Pre main mod Drega'mire hanging out. Sitting, snarking, and waiting while others ran around like headless chickens.

-Aleister's tacky new necklace. He may be the Lizard King, but I'm still the Drake Queen.

Swyft wrote: Anorra interrupting Swyft's sword lesson with Evrat. You little devil! <3

hee hee hee. I was bored, and you had your back turned.

-Getting to read some of the songs, and finally understanding a bit more about what they meant. Sitting and talking with Magnus/Gamblor/Croi/Maeve. That's as close as Annora will actually get to bardics :P

I know there's more that I'm forgetting, but I'll try to remember when I'm no longer feeling like I got run over by a truck.

I would like to say thank you to John for running an awesome event. I know that I had a great time and I am guessing that many others did as well. I felt like things went really smoothly. Thanks also to all of the Marshals, Story tellers, and people working behind the scenes. All of the work you do and support you give is what makes this a great game. Thanks also to James. Thank you to all the people who worked in the kitchen. I know some things went wrong; but I also know that you all worked very hard to make a great dinner.

Ok, on to the rest of the stuff:
Wow, this was a crazy and cool event for me. The first time being a big Mod boss! I was nervous about it because my PC doesn’t fight at all and I didn’t know what to call for defenses and such. With some studying and encouragement and planning from friends, it all seemed to work out fine.
Being green with a big witchy nose was crazy fun, too!!!

Friday night: Setting up the ritual and drumming and shaking the rattle were so much fun. We found a nice rhythm and counter rhythm and it was really musical. . . until the fighting began, then it was completely crazy.

Saturday: Morning Mass as Maralas was nice, if a little quiet. We had some interesting conversations and later I had a moment to actually craft a few potions. I had some good RP with Gunnar and realized how differently his people see things than mine. It was very interesting.

Then I was off to be green again. I really loved my nose, BTW. I think it worked out pretty well. Fighting by the Drow caves was just insane and HOT. Bran and Shamus were awesome with their insults: “Look at the wee babby!” I almost laughed. Well done, guys!
The fight at the focus was crazy too. I was trying to figure out who were the tough opponents. I picked Gideon and attacked him (big mistake!). He defended and then went back to fighting. I attacked again and he shouts, “Kill the drummer!!!!” Big OH SHIT moment for me. When the heroes heard him, they started moving in for me and I called Eye of the Storm. Then I was surrounded, insulted to no effect and watched. “Look, her arm is shaking; she’s going to drop it soon.” In my head: I WILL NOT DROP IT! I DON’T CARE IF MY ARM BREAKS! “Goblins, to me!!!” Very intense! Dr. Darkwood and tempests was just so cool and amazing. Finally Gar got me out of there. Whew. <Town walks over to orcs and lizardkin, “here, you dropped this” hands us our ass> It was terrifying and great all at the same time. So much love for all the role-play and combat!

Then I got to be Maralas again. 5 pm Mass did not happen. Not sure what was going on; but people were super busy (thanks, Mr. Higgins!). So, I went to the inn and hung out some. The Clergy had a meeting not long after that and we discussed a lot of things. We got some questions answered and we still have more to work on; but this was a good start. Thank you, Brogan, for organizing and getting us all together.

A favorite moment, Tobias approached me as we finished the clergy meeting to ask a question. We were looking at the crowd gathered before the Inn and, in a manner that cut through the crowd; Lord Victor Sylus comes walking toward us looking determined. Tobias, “He is coming toward us with determination, um; it’s time for me to leave.” Maralas, “Relax; he’s coming to talk to me.” So much good RP with Lord Victor.

Benediction at Feast: Praise be to the Light . . . . (I SAID) Praise be to the Light! (lol)

Post feast chatting with random people and intentional people! Thalia, as always, it was a pleasure to chat with you and catch up. Many hugs!

Sunday morning: Alchemy! Some quiet lessons with Gunnar, a quick identify compound lessons and then some shop talk with Arza. It was a good morning and over too quickly.

I am sure I have forgotten some things; but I remember that I had a lot of fun. I can't wait to see you all again. Thanks for an awesome weekend!

It was good to play Bran again after a long break from playing the crazed highlander. Nice to see I haven't lost my touch when it comes to Bran's signature style of death metal combat brutality.

I'd also like to thank everyone who went out of their way to help Renee feel comfortable and broke character to show real concern while brain things were happening. Things like that are where this community shows its heart and why it is a community I keep coming back to. Thank you everybody.

Friday:

Nigel time! Finally creating a finished prototype of the Promo that is the culmination of everything I have worked towards since the character's inception 3 years ago. Is Magnus' writ for me legal and legit? We'll find out soon enough! Tobias and Nigel still need to have a loooooong sitdown and talk. It'll be at least 3 teapots in length.

Nigel/Keola time! Nigel, you silly, silly little derp. You really don't know how to people do you?

Nigel expert advice time! Apparently he's the go-to person for all kinds of weird things now. Because blood. Delicious, delicious blood.

Nigel education time! Sitting down to talk alchemy with a new student becomes teaching two lessons at once. Two very, VERY different styles of lessons. A science-driven Londwyn teaches the smug Coast Havener and the Barbarian medicine man about alchemy and it's various styles. In true rambling academic fashion.

Saturday:

Bran's first encounter with plot. MacInnes Battle Line and the wee'est babby mod boss. Lookit his wee little cheeks. Being Blighted temporarily, thus beginning the hateboner that has yet to subside.

Moar Willard!

Londwyns have the best unorthodox battleplans.

Clergy thingses. Try not to fall asleep during the meeting, Bran, try not to fall aslee-wait, what? Templar lessons? Bran in charge of things? BRAN IN CHARGE OF THINGS?! Because that's not at all a terrifying thought.

Never had felafel before. Is noms. Listening to Renee sing at feast and being so damn happy when the entire building went quiet during the song. The things that resulted from said song. GURL, YASSS.

Hookah times with Maeve, Raxas, Lutheran, and Jacob. NSFW, would hookah again.

Clergy murdersquad becoming Celt murdersquad becoming clergy murdersquad on main mod. There is something very scary about a small group of fighters that works well together and coordinates to utterly decimate enemies. It's pretty much great.

Glowing foreheads in the dark...

Walks and talks and ghosts with Amalthea and Tsoli

6am plans are the best plans.

Sunday:

Bran comes up with the best, most viable stupid plans.

Hooooooboyyyyyyyy the fight between Bran and Angel.

Said fight being interrupted by main mod part 2: son of main mod: the revengencing. Stalking in and unloading my entire card on the boss in 3 seconds. Sorry, not sorry, Bill. Getting my second shot at the title fighting Bill and Alex and all the Berserking. Fianna boss kill count up to 8.

Playing a new PC is always interesting especially when you get in the middle of things while trying to relax in a new place. Staying at Ostcliff was something new for both PCs. But fetting picked up by the main baddies as a level newbie is priceless.

Never mind getting bitten twice by a werewolf and getting healed of the disease by an Elven Lady of Kormyer.

Saturday Birgitta vones in getting various updates. A run of avoidance through the forest. Some people found out how she always got people home safe without battling the bad guys... When she was a guard. Months ago...

Storytellers have a nerve-wracking job. While I've never been one, I can understand having so much riding on your creativity. That said, congrats, John.

My events always seem to start with a silly opening scene. Friday night began with a discussion on handshakes and how it's almost always a surprise whether they're going for your hand or your forearm.

Surprising Jen F. with a cup of mint tea before lay-on because I heard her coughing a bunch.

Chatting with Squire James outside of the Barracks and making absolutely terrible jokes back and forth. Peaches, I'm so sorry! xD

My first event as High Priest of Andorra and being asked for love advice by a handful of people. Look, I'm not a relationship expert in or out of game, but I did my best.

Finding out Gamblor was baptised as an Andorran and having an 'interesting' discussion on the tenets as well as a brief foray into Gaelic culture.

On a related note, Saturday night there was an Andorran priestess who came into the Inn sobbing uncontrollably, who wanted to see me at the same time I was making an, ahem, "quick check around town." Apparently she was a wild mage and when she couldn't find me, did the thing. When I got back to the main room, no fewer than five people were like, "Nalick, NALICK! You need to talk to her!" We walked over to the church annex to have our conversation and because her head hurt, she laid down on the pillows. Not wanting it to be like a visit to a psychiatrist, I laid down on another set of pillows. After talking with her and making her laugh a few times, she seemed much calmer than before. Since I needed to get back to the Inn, I suggested walking her back to Ilana, but not before giving her a new holy symbol that Trisana had given me earlier in the day. Haze, I really enjoyed that scene. Thank you.

Which reminds me, Saturday night I was wearing a green headband for the first time because I got thumped in the head during main mod. I didn't feel it at the time, but when Warlord Tellinghast ordered everyone back to the Inn, I started feeling lightheaded. Thank you again to Stacey for checking me out in Logistics and checking back in later on. :)

Bill F., hopefully we'll work together in the future. Those rings and the box looked really cool. 'Props' to you. xD

Matt Magnus involving me in his delightfully Andorran plan. It was a lot of fun, especially getting to chat with Annora, which I never get to do. Any time you need my help, let me know, bud, but the next time you cook something, I wanna eat it!

Saturday afternoon, I got to be an NPC that joined up with the Adventurer's Guild. There were a few people who asked me if I was playing my PC, but after that was sorted out, I got to enjoy the mod and all the interactions. The best times are when people forget you're an NPC, because you seem so much like a real character. The ultimatum scene at the end was great.

I spent a fair deal of time looking for Lois and bumped into her at the best possible time, when she was discussing "Plan D" out on the deck of the Inn's side room with Dr. Tobias and company. All of the jokes and shenanigans.

Running into Lois again at 4:00 a.m. Her surprise that I was still awake. Having deep, enlightening conversations while at the same time getting increasingly sleepy. Offering to walk her to Pendarvin but compromising and stopping at the edge of the woods instead and waiting for the lack of a scream.

Feeling about ready for bed myself, I headed back to the Monastery. Magnus, Tork, Bran, Oren, and Dominic are outside cracking jokes and making plans. Needless to say, I got to bed a little later than I wanted to, but regret none of it.

The next day, Drew was surprised that I'd been sleeping in the Monastery and when asked where I was sleeping, I said "On the top shelf, like a good bottle of whiskey." I managed to walk away unscathed.

Clergy meeting with the Cardinal and Brogan at the church annex. The Cardinal mentions "orgy pillows" and Brother Aldric starts staring at me. "What are you looking at me like that for!?"

Clytie coincidence! We both needed to get down to the lake on Friday night. Red headband-ing down and sneaking through the woods. Getting there a little bit early, sitting at the top of the hill with Clytie and being silly.

The meeting happening, explaining to the mermaid what an Inn was and a bed. Standing at the shoreline with Clytie and Cecilia and being able to hear Jed shouting at someone all the way from his shack. Damn, Judge.

More mermaids on Saturday afternoon. Getting to see Rowan sing--I loved the energy--and getting an encore at Feast.

Brendan, I enjoyed the chicken. As far as I can recall, it was the first time the food had a kick to it. [Stuff] happens, bro.

Renee G., I forget your character's name, but you sang really well!

Sunday afternoon, finding out that some people aren't fond of sylphs. Gulp.

Silliness with the Guildmistress.

Croi and Gamblor singing what I think was one of the 15 special songs and when they finished, a big flurry of leaves blew off of the roof. It was a cool effect and I'm not sure whether to credit nature or John Higgins.

See you guys in 18 days.

John Higgins. You are probably a superhero. You worked really hard to create a fun story for everyone to interact with and executed it while not in any small amount of pain. Hope you continue to heal quickly.

So I had twice as many anxiety attacks as the last time I was at KR, but I probably had about three times the previous amount of fun. Many giant thank yous to everyone who went out of their way to make sure my brains were going to be OK either in or out of character. You are all the reason I will keep coming back until I have enough positive experiences of my own to keep me doing so.

My highlights:

Explaining to a concerned Nigel that he can ramble all he wants about his alchemical discoveries because Maeve appreciates passionate people who pursue their own happiness.

Meeting Keola. Being silently sized up and deemed safe by Keola. Staying out of the details of whatever personal interaction had occurred between herself and Nigel, but convincing a flustered Nigel that even though he has difficultly understanding emotional and social nuance, there is absolutely nothing wrong with him. He is his own wonderful person and he should feel free to ask as many questions as he needs to in order to reach an appropriate level of communicative success with another person. Just because other people can know things without having to ask does not make them any better or worse. The people who know him will understand his strengths and limitations and meet him halfway. Keola: Satyrs are pretty smart. You should trust this one.

Bard lessons with Trent and Rowan. Somehow we are so awesome we got The Weave, philosophical discussions on personal morality vs a moral dichotomy, the magic of food and the powerful effects of music all into two lessons. Man, we are productive.

Bardic Hive Mind with Rowan. It has begun.

Singing at feast was both terrifying and excellent. I got extra nervous when everyone went quiet, but I DID THE THING. Yassssssss. Next time hopefully I will start on the right key, my voice will not crack and I can stop shaking in less time afterwards. I'm so pleased that many of you were touched by my song. I look forward to sharing my work with you again soon.

After feast... suddenly bard things. Maeve has been thrown into the middle of some things. There are strange happenings afoot and no one knows what is going on.

Hookah with Bran, Raxas, Lutheran, and Jacob. Now we all know what happens to Jacob when we put Satyr's Wine in the hookah... hilarity. Hilarity happens.

Coming out of the darkness to congratulate the Fianna immediately after the main mod fight and getting massive hugs from Bjorn, Seamus and Bran.

Stealing hugs from Alice when she was either on her way out from or back to Logistics. You were the prettiest lizard I have ever seen.

Being a scared little wild mage and being basically temporarily adopted by Illana. Loved how all four of our NPC group ironed out different experiences before going out so we had a deeper story to share during the mod. It really added a lot of flavor to the story we told. You were all great! ALSO OMG MARCELLA, THAT TEA THOUGH. SO GOOD.

See you all again soon!

The weekend was well run, probably due to its being well planned. The mix of NPCs chosen worked well. An indicator as to how involved people were is that I did not speak with Aleister until Sunday morning, and did not even see Angelica until that time.

Conducted so much business - One does not need to be underhanded or have the list to be a "racketeer."

Learning lores from Na'ar and Gideon. It was my first real lesson from the former, and it is always a pleasure to get them from Geoff, which occurs all to infrequently. For what could be said in a minute per the rules, took well over a half hour in each case. That is how it should be.

Oh Bank of Travance - why do you insult me when I literally had the solution to your problem in my hands? I believe a similar situation existed between the House of Rothchild and The Bank of England in the early 19th century.

Long talk with Swyft and Trent.

Night time discussion with Cally. Leslie and I do not interact as Edwin and Birgitta, so it was fun. I had her laughing, which s tough to get her to do IC. Our talk was interrupted by an Elder Lycanthrope, werewolf variety. It was not an easy fight, but its attack strengths played directly to my defenses.

Snacking at Pendarvin - we snack well.

Watching the Adventurer's Guild prep for an encounter, as they met at Pendarvin. The box containing the treasure was stolen before they left. That is one ballsy rogue.

MM - seeing a bunch of people engaging Justis from the front, I got behind and unloaded a line of crits and stunning blows. He had to use good defenses against the SBs, and a couple of hundred damage is something. Prudently, I Windwalkered as soon as my attack was delivered.

For what it is worth, we fed 50 people breakfast on both Saturday and Sunday. Logistics got 12 or so each day. We also fed 24 people lunch, including free cantaloupe. I want to mention that we almost always have food, even for those who cannot get their sorry bodies out of bed and into the bar to order by 10 AM

Meeting Marie, who worked tiredlessly in the kitchen. She is also an accomplished cookie tease.

A civil conversation with Burkhart on the use of force in combat and the limitations leadership in combat places on one's own combat.

Taught lessons from three lists, and one master list. Explained to one budding fire mage that anyone can incinerate someone, but it takes real skill to perform the equivilant of striking a match in her brain. When asked if I could do that, I smiled.

More, but I had a long Monday

This event was a pretty interesting one. It was cool to see a druid plot made into something even bigger, and it made the whole event seem more than just an invasion by lizardkin and wild orcs. That was totally unexpected, and a really cool twist.

Coming into game hearing the drums of war, and being the only one thinking that's weird.

Angry elf + Radizeal= Even angrier elf

Fighting the first real attack. Blighted Possession is awesome and terrifying at the same time.

Watching the jail burn down and being totally ok with it.

Confirming with both Lathiel and Magnus that paladins naturally scowl.

Chilling with Goard, and making an important decision.

So many awesome new kids! It's great.

Scouting. So I decided to go scouting to see if I find anything. I go to John and tell him that I and Goard were doing this. He said that he has something planned for that. So we leave, and not 5 minutes later ever single event boss is in a group behind us. We book it, get Brigetta, Trent, and the other Blood Spirit there out as quick as possible, and stay out of sight. The blighters start setting up a ritual, and we get back to town as soon as possible to get a force. So thanks John, I got to do my job.

Blowing up the Underdark. Whoever let Kanas do that needs their head checked.

Ostcliff politics are boring, but I might have done a thing.

Thing was done during feast.

Brokouri the Knight! He needs to remember to carry around his polearm. I have to get it every single time.

Honor combat, and the lesson about pride I learned from it. I need to think more often in fighting. Justis, awesome fight!

Chilling with Takouri and Pox until suddenly Blighters show up, and the chaos that ensured after that.

Sledding with Peaches.

Cyrus drank the bottle of bad juju. I will keep on reminding him of his mistakes.

Vedranne mod. That was intense and I am looking forward to more.

Overall Awesome Event!

I just want to say its been yeeeearsssss since Ive played a new character and every interaction I had was an awesome one! I honestly think my favorite reaction happened on Friday night- Walking into the inn before game in costume and a friend of mine literally didn't recognize me. It made my night :)

-Friday night

-Did I just hear someone say the jail was on fire? Nah. Oh hey wait the jails on fire! Would this an awkward way to ask to join the guard?
-Being wary of going outside alone. It is a terrifying feeling not having mental defenses for the first time in likely 9 years of playing pcs.
-Drinking! I have a character that drinks!

-Saturday

-Watching the sun on the lake and talking to fisherfolk!
-Running from most of the things!
-Going for a walk of Travance to get my bearings with some other people I met Friday night

NPC

-THANK YOU for giving us breaks. Seriously. Omg. Hot.
-Lauren and the auctioneer voice!

Saturday night

-SINGING!!!
-Can you tell this person something? Uh sure.... who is that again? Oh that guy? Sure!- rinse and repeat!
-I....have no real clue what all happened- it was a big mess to me Sat night. As Mae, that's fine? As a bounty hunter.... yea I ended up doing a bit of nothing for once. It was odd!
-Joining the guard!
-Sleeping. Sleeping is amazing.

Sunday

-Talking to peoples about guard duties. Getting to interrogate someone and getting a compliment :D
-Getting invited on Adventurer's Guild stuff. Just going over quick to report something to Swyft and....
-Getting sucked (literally) into Maelstrom mod! Yay for happenstance!

Its odd- seriously odd- to have a character that is literally refined for certain tasks (I dont think I have a single offensive tag skill yet that can be used to effect in a battle) when Im so used to being able to at least hold my own in a short fight. It was wonderful to "re-meet" everyone though- I even got to hear someone sing to me! Which is something Mae would never get to do!- and see a different side of things then I normally do. Its certainly been eye-opening and I look forward to it continuing!

My turn…
This was my first foray into mini-main boss portrayal, having done small scenario based ones and one New Player Mod as a boss…. And I must say, it was every bit as difficult as expected and no less fun.

I want to thank John Higgins for the trust and opportunity to play a Big Bad and his believing in myself and Forest to get the scare put into players on Friday…. As near as I can tell, we did not let him down.

Highlights Friday:
The fight on the road for the New Players. Skull (my NPC) was built to fight PC’s that hide- especially those like Sentinels and Emerald Huntsmen (especially as he was an EH). Add in a specific special ability and it’s a nightmare to face… in essence, the NPC was a perfect foil for Caelvan, who was leading the New Player walkthrough- I honestly don’t know if that was planned but it wound up that way.

Our job was not to kill PC’s, it was to capture them and sticking around was a bad idea. *grin*
Grab a bunch then I lone wolf…

(REDACTED by request :))- it was a beautiful set up and I don’t think that could have gone better.
Jason, I hope your huntsman enjoys the wine.

By the time we ended our hunting at 2am, there was over 40 Blighted.

Saturday:
By the time we were up and moving as the morning wakeup crew, the count on blighted was reportedly over 60….
Skirmishs in Kaladonia on the road and Ostcliff netted more then it was off to the barracks and an attack on focus.
The Taking of Magnus- I know what happens when he gets dom’d and the bad guys didn’t. The blight now knows this though…

Fighting Edmund then running into Ilana. Cloak Green and Huntsman movement ability…. A break from woodline and her doing Windwalker. Getting away from her only to run into Danny Mckraegor then have Philidin, Arden and at least two others…. Yeah, I am not getting away this time and it does not help I forgot a few abilities (like the travel through trees trick. :P) so down I go to some powerful PC’s

A wonderful bit of RP later (Ilana sooooooo gets into her dissection/surgery… She is one sick puppy) and I was now off to be a normal NPC for a bit.

More fighting and Keavy/Dani thank you for the compliment.

Another NPC and a capture during fighting at the Focus. Interrogation by Birgitta then a frantic escape attempt. Attempted ended poorly due to cleave from Birgitta… (Love you, Leslie)

More running around then Feast.
After Feast was main and main…. Was crazy. More sneaking around and captured a few more for the blight then attack on the inn.
Mistake. Big mistake…. And I need more practice fighting with a shield.
After main, it was get cleaned up then brief foray out as Duncan.

Sunday:
Duncan time... and Brazen Mass. Thank you to all who attended and I will hopefully have one for August if I can make it. And it will be on Saturday this time, I promise.

The final battle against the Blighted ones…. Yeah, all I can do is School of Nope against that. Justice, you are damn good.
Phokus Attunement finally- I can now drag folks from the Spirit Realm who don’t want a Light God person to do it. :)

Three lessons taught which meets the personal RP requirement for the character as a Brazen Priest. Teaching is crafting anothers knowledge.... :)

Trying to find coverage for August event- if I don’t, I’ll see everyone in September!!

I didn't write one of these already? I guess it's time then.

Friday:
That night we showed up, pitched a tent and fell asleep to the sound of Ostcliff. Surprisingly quiet afterwards.

Saturday:

Terzak actually got a lot done this time around. We (the healer clad in black and the sword and boardsman with the blue tabard) start our morning with a game of chess....then go reinforce the rescue party...then leave to get reinforcements for the rescuers of said rescue party. Lord Blackthorne commended us for our noble service. After spending the day searching for a blacksmith, we got an upgrade in our equipment then went off to kill more things.
The tunnel mod was incredibly interesting, switching between "Burner of Enemies" to "Carrier of Barrels" whenever convenient. Hearing that the blighted enemies "didn't have many defenses for raw magic" made me smile a little bit. I was using so much magic this event that I almost ran out of mana.

Feast smelled amazing and tasted equally amazing. Really hope I can learn to make it at home.

And after that, I slept through Main Mod and the associated Gank Shift due to fear of thunderstorm.

Sunday:

Blighted. Goblins. Everywhere. I spent the entire event as a Blighted Goblin shaman with enough Cure Light Wounds to keep a few rounds of goblins very entertaining. All I can remember after that was the aforementioned goblin resting and eating a severed head. Mmmmm, delicious.

By my hand,
Professor Terzak Winstonshire
