More and more, I'm finding that one-on-one moments are the best, and I got to experience quite a few.
Mother Maralas teaching me about giving mass and her delightful "tangents."
Sitting Bob down to talk about something that seemed to bother him deeply.
Tobias appearing at the perfect moment and Jason F. blowing me away with his RP.
Discussing Enax, among other things, with Mordra.
Performing my first-ever baptism with Swyft--I enjoyed that scene despite me not knowing what to say most of the time.
Carlos giving Nalick a tarot reading and the first card being the absolute worst one in the deck. Although, that means we could only go up from there.
The fun, fruit-filled conversation with Bob and Tobias.
Jason P.'s return. Good to see you back!
Gunnar/Joe's ingenious way to grant buffs.
Chatting with Merideth/"Dethy" at Market Faire. It was fun and I'm glad you had a good first event!
All the pirates marching into the Inn and singing a shanty. A great opening act.
Hearing someone shout "Someone tell the Guard that the Guard is under attack!"
Being chosen to participate in Sir Reginald's inspection as a member of the Guard and Magnus ordering me to try non-violent means of quelling an opponent. Unfortunately, one of the knight's squires declined my offer of a song as substitute for combat. Still, I lived, and after the Guard succeeded, Magnus came running over, smiling, and lifted Nalick up in the air.
Alisandria sure knows how to make an entrance!
Utgard revealing to Nalick that bacon is actually an invention of Enax. All hail.
NPCing for the Adventurer's Guild and people thinking that I was a PC. Andrew R., keep up the great work, bud!
Singing an original song to Thalia and Tris.
Being kidnapped by Tris and sitting with her and the rest of Kaladonia at Feast, because [strike]she[/strike] a friend of hers needed love advice. I don't think I won her over, but I enjoyed being put to the test. Other than that, so many laughs. I wish I could eat with you guys more often!
Post main-mod shenanigans in the Inn, aided by my ridiculous rambling. What I thought was me being extremely tired, turned out to be something else when I felt my forehead. For better or worse, I stuck it out and got in some silliness with Jun and a heartfelt conversation with Thalia and Lorelai. Also, Sir Hurgar smiled at me from across the room and walked over with Lord Silverbow. Mentioning that he didn't have a squire, Sir Hurgar asked Nalick for, erm, assistance with a very special task.
Chugging a whole bottle of Thalia's "apple brandy" and attempting to follow a group of people who darted out of the Inn. She stopped me before I could, though, and took the drunkenness away.
Being asked if I wanted to play a card game and telling the man, "No thanks. It's not in the cards for me." Veor groaning from across the table. Reaching into the gigantic bowl of Goldfish, I asked, "Have you ever pla--"
"Don't. Don't say it," said Veor.
Running into Kelley C. shortly before lay-off and her asking if I'd like some tea that was leftover and would be thrown out otherwise. You don't have to ask me twice! Walking into the Blackbird, forgetting that we were still in-game, when Tsoli told me it would cost me 5 gold. I didn't see him when we walked in, because Kelley was standing in front of him. But he changed his mind and said it would be on the house. We got a chance to catch up a bit, after not seeing him for the longest time, and I regaled him of the time when I met someone by accident.
Bob punishing Nalick for being a "cad." He might need a few more punches, Ben.
All in all, this event was awesome.

Immediately putting an alchemy shield and a deep pockets on when i saw the intro. and then "testing" all of the food for poison.
foiled 2 pick pockets
fun with a black sack(sorry Puck!!!!)
Tending bar at the black bird for all the pirates and Peaches saying he'd like a glass, i responded 5 gold he hands it over and i hand him an empty glass, when he protested and said he'd like a drink charging him another 5 gold, careful what you ask for.
Chats with the Tanwyn clan, i'm going to have fun with this one.
Getting to open up a mage list for someone, i love doing that, it's a lot of fun.
Arrow coming at me with a fill shot upon arriving back from work, dodging it, going invisible then being annoying in peoples ears, distracting them from the fights.
Feast cleanup smooth as per normal, guys thanks for making my job easy, you all rock.
Running a mod and having both the NPC and PCs tell me that they really enjoyed the mod and the atmosphere was great for it. I can't get Higher praise, thanks to Soren for reprising his role from last month and my NPCs who made the mod interesting and a challenge.
Hold.... Take a step back and quick bind..... PC: God damn it..... well this is embarrassing!
Getting half a breakfast sandwich at the mages guild. Thanks you sweetie.
Talks in the guild with Tari, god damn it seriously it feels like faceplate on repeat, like sunday morning i should just wake up and smack my forehead to pre-empt it.
Talks with Nalick in the Black Bird.
Talks with a pirate captain in the black bird, we will be in touch......
All in all great event guys A+ event will event again.

In no particular order:
-Getting saved by the town/the whole kidnapped scene was so much fun
-Having a much needed heart to heart with Goose and Padma and later Jade. Still scared of Jade though but we'll see
-spending quite a bit more time then usual at Alisandria and being quite happy at the results
-Judge and James are epic, seriously thank you for what you are doing
-losing it and "ugly crying" after two other people lost it. Thank you to everyone who was so supportive. Joe amazing with your story....It was absolutely what was needed
-a plot that is really forcing me to think and remember the past.
-all of the amazing support and ideas Caelvan and danny gave me
-more scrying then I've ever done.
-being extremely impressed with main mod, not just the effects and props but how few NPCs there were that truly made it work and gave it there all to be beat up again and again.
-Garrett ran a great event, and handled everything extremely cooly
-All of the people who said they trust me and want to only tell me something..... Life is about to get very interesting

I started the event with misgivings and a little suspicion. I'm not the type that handles change well, and there was a lot of change. stuff got rolling and I stuck for a bit with Seamus, Bjorn and Bran. Around a lot of Celts, things get funny fairly fast. Then, I felt like raising a little hell and joined the rescue mission. that was a whole lot of bad idea.
The tournament was interesting to watch, though I was a little disappointed when the Blood Spirits part got cut short. OOG, I understand completely. IG, we're not terribly happy.
I do not normally go to main unless asked by a friend or contracted to. I went this time mostly because Bran and Seamus asked me to. what happens when four Celts work together? The Celt Murder Squad gets started and does not stop easily. three facts on this:
1. Wearing brown pants is advised to our enemies. this is a modesty protecting measure.
2. The murder caravan has no brakes.
3. Being a Necromancer and fighting the Celt Murder Squad is no way to get ahead in life. or unlife.
after this, we go on a mission from His Grace. brain teaser time.
Sunday.... lessons, discussions and other seldom sundry things.
trying to help deal with the wild man, oh and then Sir Lathiel fighting the homunculi. well, I'm not about to let him get surrounded, so Donald pops Celtic Resolve, waits for an opening and then barrels in. My Nope is strong that day and soon enough my day was done.
That is all I can recall. Until next time, Drink Milk, Wear your seatbelt, and don't run with scissors.

The inauguration of the Encampment. A work in progress, but even now its an awesome site. Will be even better next moon…
Friday Night…
The only thing I hate more than Water-borne Brigands is Ratmen. Just saying…
A most unlikely visit to a most infamous man about a conundrum on corruption versus corrosion smithing question, of all things. “I’m gonna tell Swyft you guys came here and she just is not gonna believe me…”
The Pirate Captain on the road with her rather large crew. That could have ended very poorly for someone had one of the feathers from BIrgitta’s Hat not won her over.
Here’s hoping the Captain and her crew didn’t get too thumped messing with Jed.
A Templar-Petitioner’s Vigil. The normally quiet barracks being not so quiet. Uncertainly of direction becomes the confidence of making the right decision after a delivery of the utmost importance some fifteen minutes later.
Rescue- The Mod. After being Kicked to the curb once more with Atrus, I’m content to watch everyone go off to fight. Y’all don’t need me, I’m content to stand by and figuratively eat popcorn.
Not a minute after that decision, I get a very pointed request from a Knight to go along. “I want someone fighting by my side that I absolutely trust… and that’s you.” With a request like that, how could I say no? “If you trust me to fight alongside of you, I trust him. (Indicating Atrus) We’re coming…”
At the top of the hill to the beach. “Atrus… do we old bull or young bull this?” “Old Bull… too crowded down there…” “I agree…”
And a pair of minutes later, relieving Caldor of a physical burden of GREAT Importance. “I got him… go help the others.”
Go Go Physical Roleplay!! This is the second time I’ve sack-of-potatoes carried a noble. EMS Upper Body workout is a thing, y’all….
The madcrazyinsane scramble for the right sort of healers and alchemy.
Guards in the darkness then a question asked. “Who thought it was a good idea to fight on his turf?”
Escorting the Count to a place of his choosing us as if it was a normal event (and it sorta is as of late, for reasons) and a Seneschal’s seemingly Great Annoyance at the ‘Hated Mercenaries’ doing the job of the Guard or the Count’s Appointed Bodyguards. Again.
Friday discussions with those who would bear the Cross and the outstanding answers to Birgitta’s very pointed specific questions. “Smart lad, he’ll go far…”
Witchhunters in the stupid-early morning… “Just checking on you guys” I slept through it Birgitta did not.
Saturday Morning…
Brazen Mass and the LACK of the Faithful. In retrospect, this should have been a sign of things to come for the day.
Tournament time. A request to participate. A scramble for a Fifth as two of our number got Paperworked against their will…. Watching the battles and taking notes, getting ready to put on a show…. And then-
You Are Dismissed.
A visit by The Yellow to the Encampment as an Apology for the unintended Grand Insult and the subsequent Education of a Knight of Kaladin.
Yes, we know what we are doing, Yes we know what You Are About and yes, you only got a partial picture of what Travance is about because of Best Case Reporting Syndrome; here’s part of what you didn’t get…
Kudos to Joe Hines for his RP and dealing with the justified IC anger of the Old Sword and her men AND the great discussion over stuff as a whole. A+ RP, would RP again. On an OOC level, We so completely understood the why of the end of the tournament and have no issue with it- safety is safety! It still made for some awesome IC stuff though
Father Brazen…. Who knew Gods could be in their cups? (Thank You Gene for the portrayal (1950’s Dad indeed. Wow!!))
More Absolute Nonsense of the Afternoon and a decision made. A decision delayed by “Let me try to Fix this.”
Was not a fighter in Main- was by the Focus in case someone needed to be pulled through…. But heard it was a good show. Kudos to the Marshals/Storytellers for pulling that off. All of you deserve a beer for Main.
Post Main- Blood Spirit Mod. To paraphrase a line said in history- “Your Count is Greatly Concerned…”*
Just remember, not everything you see is as it seems and if you don’t know a thing, have friends who do. Go get them.
Ratmen….. “BOO!”
Late-night hotdogs over the fire in the Encampment with guests was excellent and awesome. Note to self- need more seats and more water.
Sunday morning!!
Breakfast and teaching…. Then being taught.
I now have thrown weapon skill to go with my tomahawk throwing axe. A Benjamin-Martin-inspired scene is bound to happen….
Packout of the Encampment, hugs given and then its off to Sparta Diner then home. Awesome Dinner, lovely excellent talks over food and a long ride home discussion of events and what might come next…
See everyone next month!!!
(* “Your President is greatly concerned…” was the opening line in a letter from FDR to Claire Chennault and the Flying Tigers. Cigar/Poweraide to whomever can tell me why. And no Sean, you can’t win this one. I know you know.)

Brother Aldric's vigil to Valos. Looked and smelled and sounded legit in there...
All the Jun shenanigans... including Magnus getting up in Swyft's grill and saying in super-serious voice that Jun better not be another one of my conquests... lmao! I actually believed him for a second...
The return of the majestic Ethan Archangel!
The Evrat hug-n-run.
The royal tournament! It was a fun little gathering. I rather enjoyed participating and watching! Everyone did great! And thank-you for the excuse to be fancy!!!
The discussion of Jun with Mistress Jade and Evrat...
Rendered completely incapable of keeping a straight face... oh MY! Lol
Angrin's rainbow necklace gift to Swyft! It's beautiful! (I hear he got noticed by Brazen!)
Swyft's teacher was around ALL DAY! What a treat to see Senpai for so long!
That awkward moment at Alisandria when I realized it was Jed and not Ethan sitting under the canopy. Considering there was still some residual anger from what I said when blighted, it took a lot of willpower to walk up to them, but I sorta' had to, because Indigo and Henchman were there and one cannot be a wuss in front of one's teachers! It's a hard knock life for Swyft...
The awful, awful spar.
The look on Jed's face when he saw Galamah, a returned paladin from like 15 years ago was PRICELESS. He actually squirmed! Swyft couldn't help smirking a little.
Papa Gypsy's gifts!
Why oh why can't Swyft stop healing or hitting people who are raging? I think this must be the fourth or fifth time I've done it to Erik, alone. I... think I have a problem.
The paladin gathering to hear Galamah speak... and Jed's involvement. Boy is that something I didn't expect... There was a sort of storm cloud ambiance to it...
It was telling to see who would shake hands with him and who wouldn't.
The symbolism of Jed shaking my hand at the end of it. (Or paw. )
Fun times at main mod with Drega'mire! Water balloons, heck yes! First time I WANTED to get hit with a damage tag...
Having a very deep discussion with Father Nalick about Andorra and if it was impolite to dedicate oneself to another go. Andorra, at least, is Valos' wife, so how mad could he be, right...?
Our conversation went on for a while in the comfort of the pillows at the church Annex (love them!) and seeing that Swyft had seemed to be following Andorra's tenets this whole time.
It feels so right!
Helping a soul find rest with Nalick and Bob!
Late Saturday night deep conversations with Magnus again! He always knows the right things to say when Swyft has had a rough time of it...
Sunday's pirates of Penn's Ant... omg. At first I thought I was in a world of trouble when I ran up on the lot of you alone... but then I healed a pirate's missing tongue and everyone was happy, so I threw random items at them and made like 12 new friends at once. The group hug was so hilariously amazing. You guys were AWESOME!
Oh and all the rp with the Huntress, Alisandria and Ilana and Edward. So much drama, oh my!
As always thank you all for always making my KR weekends such a delight. I wish I could remember everything properly! Thank-you guys for being awesome! And thank-you, Garret, for running a great weekend!!!

Speaking with the expert on Corruption yields an answer that has stopped Birgitta’s smithing for some time. The answer so simple so sweet so right it all makes sense now.
For the love of RP PC Perspective. RP to the max for the answers. A thank you to Judge for being the exemplar for that RP. And what happened right after.
Everyone’s at the inn right? Wrong. Karen NPC Captain. Politics and Pirates who would have thought. Love you Girl that was awesome. I hope you kept the feather.
Vigil for Aldric turns a critical step. I’m in there with him having our usual debate/discussions over choices\tactics when and where. His earlier decision with 4 Greater Undead and 6 Lesser undead vindicated by the arrival, via Duncan’s hauling, of a very well loved NPC/PC, in tatters. That was an eye opening experience for two healers, an alchemist, a Lord and Lady, One Seneschal and Aldric. Cat out of bag much? Um yes and MY PC doesn’t care… awesome RP. Would RP it again but hoping never to see that happen ever again…
Like a well oiled machine getting to work with my fellow professionals’ right after recovery and the looks on people’s faces when this seems to have a comfort level it shouldn’t… priceless. Whose bright idea was to take most the nobles in one place at risk at one time. Mine. What were you thinking? OH the RP.
James I love you we need to do more.
Tourney and a IC slap in the face due to OOC circumstances. I will reiterate IC pissed off OOC understands safety very well and approves. The resulting RP good stuff too. Sometimes things do not go as planned and turn, long standing norms and situations on their ear. There was a lot of that at this event and the Pirates were not involved.
My goodness we have a lot of interested parties in joining us at the new Encampment. I’m loving it and those applying so to speak your RP is top notch verbal and the doing part. If I had RP points Id have passed out the lot and been looking for others this event. If a Marshal wants to know where and why and who feel free to PM me.
Blood Spirits Mod, the puzzles, results and rewards split, even involving others outside. We will include others…always, whenever we can… that’s a promise. I am realizing we are often, when including others, the numbers of players like a land and if everyone showed up it would be us… at that size. Need to get cracking on some things for the encampment very soon. Thank you Romeo for a few ideas on that.
Knee…not a highlight since it took me out of Main as NPC shift. Thank you Larry for making that easy on the person who was so mad it gave out on me right then. Thanks Rachael for the ace bandage that kept me functional. RSD you Suck. RSD is my disease for those who don’t know…
Sunday Getting the teacher I want IG and OOG for a Heroic list. I love you man. You need to come visit with us!!! The wild Man the small mod… awesome stuff there too. Birgitta wanted to take the thieving trap setting wild thing home with her and turn him lose in the woods. Bear beware we have something for ya.
And Everything John Tinney and Sean Farquharson wrote earlier are a ‘me too’ thing!

-Ilana got drunk for a change. She had fun.
-Helped with 'vampirism'
-Late night comfs at the tent that resulted in me staying there until morning for Maralas' mass.
-Kamei! I just about tackle hugged her when I had the chance to
Saturday:
-Getting shot
-Not so much having a chance to participate in Pendarvin breakfast, but I hope my contribution was enjoyed
-Knights of Kaladin~ Ilana mostly just happy to hang out with dragoons all afternoon. Pendarvin fight apparently was going to go too long so it was cut short? (We're low damage and high endurance... except Billliamm) Also having my Tsunami's Kings Guarded was surprising. Tyros and his instincts, didn't even bother fighting him. (Also, the new side of the fence (aka no body damage) vs. my side of the fence (aka all the body damage X.x) I was having a ton of fun!
-Destruction of the Thrush
-Tari inviting Ilana on her adventure and breaking down in tears eventually. Getting the biggest compliment from Ethan that Ilana could have ever gotten. Ethan also giving her a piece of hope in a ring for her dad.
-Physicians that weren't quite physicians...
-Showing Lamia that being a wildmage can be a good curse instead of *just* a horrible curse.
-The wildmage assassin on Saturday ruining a rather relaxing sit at the comfy tree. Also, quite happy with Atrus' expedient response when Ilana simply stated 'Kill him!'
-Tamzyn's utterly brave and insane attempt to protect Ilana after berserked Atrus shattered Ilana's arm and left her in a rather troubled position.
-Trying to sort out the situation afterward rolling into the events of Sunday.
-Accidentally running into Matt Calo's pirate being attacked by another pirate and crew. Ilana needed to let off some steam. It went relatively well considering what a terrible idea it was.
-Also, I got my arm broken so many times. I think Ilana's going to be retiring shield.
-The end of Tari's adventure for the evening and Ilana's severe disapproval of the situation. "..It's very rare someone gives me a feeling like that. That thing's worse than wrong."
-Really tried to accept and listen to one of Eva's lessons... but crumpled after thirty seconds and just left. I didn't realize how much of a problem Ilana would have with that.
-Insect spirits are bad news.
-Serious late night talks that ended on a bad note Sunday
-Also, all the various lessons in general
Sunday:
-Ketryn giving Ilana insight on a situation she thought was resolved.
-Balfurous' Eyes and Doctor Walker's procedure (Liam RPing like a boss as always )
-Realizing the inevitable and letting the cat out of the bag starting with Tari.
Can't wait for September! Dragoon holiday! Not thinking about other things! Better know your dragon history new dragoons!

- I fell in love with every Coasthavener NPC – the wenches were as sultry as they were salty. Meanwhile Charlotte was magnificent in ways I could only describe as a badass murderous heartthrob. Frost had a distinctively imposing air about him that was truly terrifying. All the pirates were incredibly unique, and I could tell everybody was having a blast getting into character with them.
- Bragging to Nalick about stealing and then noping out of the Inn sets the tune to a lot of their interactions. Watching Cade lead the Adventurers Guild was also heartwarming. Gamblor, your stories are hilarious. And Jack Cypher, the teenyboppers and I aren’t sure if your quest was a dark ritual or not. And of course, there's Papa Gypsy. Collins days are always filled with the likes of you.
- Then there was the PVP action between Collin and Miss Demeanor - Lemme paint the situation for those that missed it.
- We were on the Adventures Guild doing our usual working-class-warrior scut work, but MISS DEMEANOR howls for my Sylph like a bat out of hell, with piercing demon eyes that could shoot ice piss spears into the boots of my softhearted Coasthavener. You are truly a torrential downpour of iron and blood and briny death – stop me if I’m getting ahead of myself, but OH MY GODS THAT MOMENT MADE THE WHOLE EVENT FOR ME.
- In any case after that Collin lost his bearings and joined a religion – that Enax fella – and somewhere along the lines became Guo Chenjing’s dragoon charge. “At least buy me dinner first” was the resounding statement. They’re taking it one step at a time.
- Recall Collin bears the cross of an angsty Sylph backstory – and he’s not even from Angst. There was a moment that was incredibly nuanced but very important for him right before main mod where everybody beckoned him over, and then struck conversations with him while they marched into main mod. That instilled the deepest sense of community in his salty bones he’s seen in a very, very long time. I can feel the gears shifting in his barnacle-coated skull and I figure you just have to break his spirit in a few times before he’s willing to take on the task of protecting a single mosquito fart of a soul in Travance. That said, he’s definitely getting closer.
- I know that the fireworks over the hillside were a happy accident, but those were cannon fire. There’s no beating around the bush there.
Collin had a very significant event, and I can only wait to see what paths it takes him down. I just got finished gluing his other ear back into his hat, so if any surgeons or healers wanna do him the honor of claiming they performed the procedure, hit me up and we’ll roleplay it out.

Shout outs to:
*The Tanwyns. I love the chemistry between all of you, and I am so impressed and thankful that a large group of fresh players came into game as a family and have stayed as such for this long. Not only do you crack me up, but you make me feel like the Romani family can *be* a family.
*Peonis and Zellara! I enjoyed the chats, the gossip, and the hint of doting between all of us on that brief moment saturday.
*Steve Amore. Sindarion is a cool guy, and the Wild Man was fun to encounter. Without him, I wouldn't have had those brief but interesting interactions with Drexel, Lathiel, and the Celt whose name escapes me (Donald, I think?)
*Joe Bondi. The bits and pieces I hear about Blackthorn while you are absent help to build him into a mighty figure in my mind. I hope to learn more of magic and sorcery next time you come by.
*Vladimir, the Swashbuckler in the black beaked mask. It is a funny coincidence that within two months my mask comes off and you put a mask on. I take this as an omen. Here's hoping for some fun roleplay!

Friday night: I was very sad that I missed Midnight Mass. I need to be better about attending.
Chatting with Nalick was really nice. I hope we get more time to get to know each other. This was one of the high points of my event.
Seeing a being the looks like death walk into the Inn and make a bee line for Maralas. She thought: I know what that is! And then saying, "I can't speak to you!" She was really shaken by the encounter. Then I got asked, "did you just elf a god?" Yeah, I guess I did . . . oops?
Saturday: Morning Mass was really nice. Thanks to all the folks who came to listen to me prattle on about the Gods
Then off to Market Faire. I had a great time crafting all the alchemy with Meander!!! It's always such a pleasure to work with her. We will make all the things!!!
Jasmine tea was absolutely dreamy. It really made my morning.
Finally got to chat with Atrus . . . well, it went better than she expected, so we will see what happens.
Then talking to Bran and all the feels. Being dehydrated and heat exhausted apparently makes for good RP! Still, it was a great scene!
Sunday lessons were fun. Thank you Rudolf for teaching me and pranking Gideon. Too bad he's not new enough to really freak out!
I realized that Maralas has come a long way since she first came to Travance . . . I think she still has a long ways to go. I hope to see you all the next time I am in Travance!

Anyways, after a stressful evening just getting to KR I was glad to slip into an NPC shift with a rowdy crew who had a ton of RP instead of just combat, even if we did get beaten into the ground a few times.
Later on with Captain Fross as well, that was FUN.
Early morning walk around is always a plus for me.
The Knight and Squires mod was a ton of fun to watch, I loved it. Very bummed that it had to be cut short on the Blood Spirits, but I 100% understand the reasons and agree that when you reach a limit you have to stop. Turning this unfortunate situation into an entirely different mod for my fellow Blood Spirits ended up being a huge plus, massive thanks to the NPCs and to James and Co. for making that happen.
Adventurers Guild was a huge amount of fun, I took a quick count and we had nearly 60 people running about the Gypsy Camp, I know it takes time and energy to get ten people to do anything, so another huge thanks to those involved with it.
Helping with the exorcism afterwards was a fun bit of RP as well.
Leading a prospective recruit and a young guardsman along some of the trails in the camp and making a fateful statement of "There are hardly any travelers along this route... What the... Crap. Walk back the way we came, fast. No, FASTER!" Half of staying alive out there is knowing when its a really good time to take a stroll away from someplace.
The swordsmanship lesson on Sunday behind the Inn, thank you those that gave advice, that was enjoyable.
Thank you staff and players for the event.

I normally do not get involved in these little write ups, but as someone who only had their third event, a lot of things and a bit of character development happened, even if it was only for Saturday.
Things to point out that I thought were noteworthy:
* The market faire/tournament outside. A combination of events which included the scribes, the vendors, my previous land actions, and trying to blend in as I stood for a meeting that did not happen. Also, there was I think an NPC drunk on Satyr's Wine that proved to be a bit of a laugh, and a random crewman that announced revelry at the bar. That being said...
* The singing pirate crew on midday Saturday. Congratulations to that group. My character has a thing with singing, and you had to sing a particular song that got him out mad quick, with him calling out the crewman for bad staff, but not bad drinks. (And yes, I was the one who wanted to pay 5 gold for everyone to shut up. That did not work out, but you get the idea.)
* A random side quest that ended up resulting in fun times in the Kaladonian area, and the stuff that happened afterwards that I may start to regret later.
* The Gaian Mass/Impromptu Exorcism. No, this is not a sign of joining the faith, but at least my character gets it. He's still confused for thinking Galladel is the same as Galamachis and Gloom In-Game though.
* Supporting Captain Collin and her crew. Not only did this involve a load of stories, but interacting with everyone had its moments, even though there was one that did successfully broke my character, and made me want a stiff drink at the bar. (To those affected, don't worry. It was expected IG, so I am sorry if you thought I was like that OOG wise.) I also discovered that their were others, possibly from the crew, that kinda stuck around me for support and wanted to learn how to do First Aid even though OOG I can't and IG I am a lousy teacher of that sort of thing. I also realized OOG that Collin is actually playing a guy (Thought it was Kallen instead of Collin. My bad.), and I kinda thought I addressed him the wrong way with explaining things and apologizing a bit too much during main mod. Sorry about that if you were bothered by it.
* (while walking to the barracks before main mod) Grim, please put the Zweliander or whatever you call that two-hander away. You are not helping me, here.
* Main Mod, and my character discovering a bard that he can actually listen to without calling bloody murder! I also forgot that I had a defense against Waylay, and only discovered after the fact.
* I think there was one other character right before main mod at the inn that actually confronted me. I know she was alongside Miss Demeanor during the event and wanted to apologize for her actions, but what followed is a rather interesting conversation, and the revelation that she and I had similar fates presented on us. I saw she was also tagging along with me at certain points from what I figured was IG concern, to which I felt OK by it, so thank you.
There are only two things I do regret after all of this: The fact that after main mod, the entire town may start to get word of who I really am, and the fact that I missed last feast, for reasons that will only make sense if you have ever met my character for any length of time. (Because if my character did show up, then oh boy would this be interesting.) Does that mean I will be here on the September event? I do plan too, as I probably will have to be dealing with the aftermath of the raid on the ship, but you never know.

In no particular order, my highlights:
•Attending my first light mass was an experience. Bringing snacks made the affair even more exciting!
•wearing armor and running around to set up the Alisandrian pavilion for the tournament was one of the least intelligent things I've done in a while.
•the tournament itself was fun to watch! Cheering for the other lands was exciting for Ludwig, since it's normally too dark when the entire town fights to be able to fully appreciate how great the other lands' fighters are, but seeing it in the day really opened his eyes to how capable the town really is!
•getting flirted at aggressively Friday night let me RP being very uncomfortable for a change of pace!
•helping to run a mod for James Saturday night was a enlightening. I'm glad people seem to have enjoyed themselves, it's what we were aiming for!
See you all in a few weeks!

Npcing Alchemist mod for Matt M is a joy, as always. You know I've always got time for you broham sandwich.
Everything to do with Sir Reginald was amazing, it was a joy to see everyone fight and interact like that.
Getting help from Eric Cripps and Chris Zipeto for stuff and things.
Seeing Cappy actually sweat and make a real effort during combat
Gamblor deeply changing grim's mood with a 5 minute conversation. He doesn't know it, but he's gained a protector for good, now. Just a conflicted one.
Every roleplay interaction with Kirsten Lotano. She helped me realize just how far grim will go to help his Knight captain.
Two short and great conversations with the Seneschal. Grim and he have a wonderful relationship and rapport. Larry is top notch.
Corvus the bounty hunter gets paid a LOT. And also twice, because Grim and bill are dumb from the heat
The interaction with Galmachis was amazing, Steve. You asked Grim a question he was having trouble answering, and he was formulating a response when duty called him away. All of my credit on asking Grim a question like that, it'll resonate with him.
Interaction with Bran during his Crisis of faith was also brilliant. Grim's ability to use reason and emotion and words as a tool were defeated by Bran's pain, and he could only stand by in agony as his friend was torturing himself.
Angeliana's reaction to the breakup was also amazing. Alice did a great job with the tears.
being an assistant to Ilana splinting her own arm was wonderful.
The penultimate chapter of the battle of Grim and his Nemesis of Maleficarum (played by Conor), has come, and it was bloody and brilliant, from the ambush friday night to the conversation during feast to the final, bloody confrontation at the docks. Brilliantly played, and it's so fun to have an enemy that is everything that grim hates. A sneak, a coward, a Black Sorcerer, and a necromancer. He checks every box on Grim's hate list.
Mei being johnny on the spot to help Grim finish that fight.
Fighting with the fianna is always fun. So is fighting with the guard. I find it interesting Grim's natural tendency is to just gravitate to the thickest part of the battle and wade in chopping, when he's not in command.
Grim being deeply offended and shaken by Keavy's roleplay with him. Great job Dani. Though it did put Grim in a very dark place.
Getting pushed to become a cleric by the Fianna. Ignoring his Gallabros as he's happy with his paths.
Late night barracks defenses with Erik and Aldric. Those NPcs got TOLD.
The entire sequence that began with Beilgor getting kidnapped. Never touch a Heargen and expect to live. Ever. Props to ben herman for everything there, and props to all the NPCs for being great fun to slaughtermance. The look on cappy's face as I pop up on the flank of the shield wall and drop 3 arcing blow attacks in 5 seconds was great.
Brief moments fo RP with Caldor and burk.
The dramatic tension between Matt Calo's NPC and grim the entire weekend. Grim going from hostile to polite to grateful when he pops up and lays some extra smack down on grim's Nemesis during main mod was amazing, and a real reinforcement of Grim's position as the political lieutenant, and a lesson to grim in the value of self-restraint and tolerance, even in the fact of confrontation. Friends unlooked for indeed. Grim owes that man of no importance a drink.
Getting my face stepped on and Norm being a total gentleman during main mod. Way to go in quickly trreating me after what could have been a serious injury (fortuantely it wasn't).
Getting stung by a bee, having my mild allergic reaction, then having Aaron and Lauren save my butt with Benadryl. I owe you a lot, you guys are great friends.
Finding out that grim impressed some new members fo town with his martial skills during a battle with the pirates. Grim's a bit vain.
Boasting, "I AM DOOM. I AM STEEL! I AM THE DEATH, AND THE END." and then falling down flat on my face down totem pole hill because the grass was wet from water baloons was also wonderfully fun, funny, and a great way to deflate Grim's post berserker rage boastfulness.
I could go on indefinitely, because this event was amazing. Everyone brought their A game. So I'll end with one final note. Having a Black Sorcerer kicked out of my brain while eating feast was definitely great. Especially with how scared Tari is of me.

Huge props to Marybeth and Goose for all their prep work for the pirate party. It was an extra touch that really made the game special and which really makes the world immersive. Plus “Fish and Chips” and the “baby octopus” had Caldor laughing all night.
Friday Night:
Pirate party!!!!! Damn was that a GREAT way to have lay on. So nice to see a swarm of NPCs enter the inn and NOT be afraid for my life. I spent more DP on purify food and drink than ever before, mind you. Loved the singing especially. I loved Mad hand Mary and all the others I got to talk with.
I could have been happy hanging out with Kirsten’s Captain Charlotte all weekend. She was an absolute blast and masterfully played all weekend. Of course, anyone who knows Caldor at all knows how happy I was to give her Grim under one arm and Beligor under the other (with Burk having a later appointment ). I loved her attitude too during later mods…. She was a blast.
Mindnight Mass…. I was so happy. 30 people or so. I’ve never had so many in attendance, and never had a mass where ½ the people didn’t have to run off for an emergency. Thank you to everyone who came, and everyone who spoke.
Rescue Mod. – I’m stunned the hostages survived, given how loud and chaotic we were. Still glad to get everyone out of there. When I heard the list of who was captured, I was pretty sure we were doomed.
Meeting Galmachas… and seriously contemplating pelting him with a lime… but no, can’t violate my faith just because he’s EEEEEVIL.. Very well played Steve, you had an amazing presence as the god and a stoic nature that really pulled it off. Thank you to Sediq for ‘making’ Caldor read Galmacah’s scroll… While it disgusted him, its vital that he knows what the ‘dark one’ was doing. Very happy Caldor got to see Mariq (sp?) get his due, as Caldor has a history with him. The Lime was a very symbolic gift (“its not meant to be sweet), and I hope it opens up RP between us that we’ve wanted to do for a long time.
Late night shenanigans… every time I almost went to bed, something happened, and I came running.
Saturday:
Avoided the knight’s challenge thing b/c of in game objections, but I’m very proud of how Kaladonia performed.
Helped around market faire a bit. Charlie, I adored that salad, and could have eaten all of it….
Hehe… 12 bandits tried to take the Stonebar in Kaladonia while Caldor was there…. Silly pirates, don’t challenge an Elder Flora Druid in his Summer Season. I had a BLAST fighting with my frinds and taking them down. Thanks to Godrick for coming over just as it got to where I might not have been able to handle it.
So glad Mars gets me when I ask Illana how she is.
Trip down to the lake with Amalthia, Rowan, Xod, Utgard, and Lady Silverbow. .... I really am not sure why the three ladies didn't just kill Caldor and throw him to the Hydra.... Must be because Xod was there.
Impromptu handling of 5 pm mass at the annex. I’m really distraught that the “special” altars from the monastery still haven’t found a new home, so the bonuses I could give were limited, but the conversations held about the gods were great. I loved my debate with Aldric… he may beat me in intelligence, but we share a passion for our respective gods that can’t be beat.
Demon Exorcism for the Adventurer’s Guild. Great rp from those who helped me. And wonderful RP from Matt D. as the victim.
Germinate Lessons!!! Gotta love them.
Feast was delicious. I told Luis this already, but I have no idea how he made the rice so delicious. I could have eaten bowls and bowls of that rice. The fruit salad was also amazing. So fresh, so refreshing so good. Post feast clean up is great when Bill and Christine start the songs….
Main mod was amazing. The whole pirate ship, grenade, plank, dire shark thing was so creative and so unbelievably fun. I loved watching people come up with creative ways to knock pirates off the plank and into the water…. Plus who didn’t enjoy watching Grim get flung into the water by the ship itself. I had lots of fun helping people cross the plank, and was giddy that my “Absolute Power Cat Like Grace” actually paid off.
Jun “Stand still. Do you feel the rumbling from below the deck? I think you should run”…. Absolutely brilliant.
The second part seemed to go too quickly… I was very sad that I didn’t get to spell cage the necromancer.
Xod did his first full main mod… and he loved it. He got to heal and help a lot of people.
Post main mod I ended up not doing much, but relaxed and hung out with people. Had an amazing conversation with Lorelai, which I’m very glad we had… I would have been very upset if things had happened and I didn’t find out for months.
Sunday
Druid meeting was very good, and very informative. I feel like a lot will come of it.
Arch Caster lessons. I very much enjoyed teaching this lesson, as Kleiden had already covered all the history and lore of arch casting in the first lesson, so I got to discuss the more fun and practical aspects.
Taught yet another germinate lesson. I love teaching germinate.
Lots of fun in clean up in the kitchen.
Last minute thank you to Sean M. for saving my but when I forgot to clean up the altar space.
I’m sure I’m forgetting stuff, and will add more later.

Walking back from main mod, we heard a series of cracks and bangs like firecrackers going off. Like.. a lot of them, along with bright flashes from detonations. In-game we RPed as though this was the rest of the ship's powder magazine cooking off in the fire.
OOG I couldn't figure out whether this was something the staff did or just random folks in the neighboring town having a fireworks show. Either way it was really cool.

A friend of mine confirmed it was a fireworks show 10-15 minutes away from Camp. Her parents were at the show and stopped by Camp to say hi.

Such an awesome event! I am so happy that y'all decided to have a piratey-themed event for the weekend that I decided to bring in my Buccaneer!!
So, Friday night, Cap'n Tempest and her cutthroat crew made the greatest entrance ever. I loved being able to hang out with them, even though they made me walk the plank (literally!) for being a scurvy stow-away. [pouts] And of course sitting around for a lively game of go-fish with the lovely ladies of the bloodthirsty crew was some great roleplaying!
Getting back, I was introduced some of my fellow Alisanrites, and things got weird when Silas apparated in the middle of the Statehouse after an encounter with ... someone I shouldn't mention. Too spoopy for ME! I went to bed!
Saturday morning I slept late and then had NPC shift. I actually got to lead one of the two groups of ghouls out. (Wait, someone's putting ME in charge?! Surely there's some mistake!) Going out as Pirates was fun, but it was tough to remember that I was playing an NPC and not my new character. Third time out, someone had the brilliant idea to just play fun-loving buccaneers getting into a bar fight. So we helped ourselves to the bar, sang a few shanties (BIG UP to the bard who led us in "Nelly the Mermaid" (??) I forget his name!) and then began pummeling each other. They made us take it outside, but still so much fun!
Saturday Afternoon was a delicious pre-feast feast in the land of Alisandria. I think I gained a Halflingsweight from the deliciousness. I was also impressed in the glorious feat of Kit the One-Match Adventurer. It was a relaxing time, and it was great getting to know all of my fellow Alisandrites. There was one great moment when Jun stopped by and made some (in-character) rude comments; including one that compared the ears of a nearby-elf to some stabbing implements. I thought Kit the One-Match Adventurer was going to One-Match Murder him. But the RP was incredible!
I knew that I was coming in as a new character, so I thought that Main Mod was going to be my first death. But the players were tight, they took care of business, and I actually killed one of the evil pirates all by lonesome!! Um ... that is, after Caldor casually rooted him to the ground, allowing me to take a few dozen swings at him while he was completely helpless, before he finally dropped ... THANK YOU CALDOR!!
After Main Mod, we came back to the Inn where I watched THE HIGH SEAS CAESAR think that a few levels of tolerance would enable him to drink a few tiny shots of Satyr Wine to little effect ... I of course, finished off his second shot, and started seeing magical animals in the air and other such wonderful things. I was hallucinating pixies, and angels, and gryphons and goblins ... Then the goblin exploded right next to me. That was some hallucination! A friendly Cleric (I think) helped get me back on my feet, and Lady Cassandra topped me off with a quick heal, bringing me nearly to full health. I stumbled back to bed through the darkness, thankful that nothing grabbed me off the trail in the night.
Sunday morning, some more lighthearted banter with the good peoples of Alisandria and then a visit from some MORE Pirates, who led us in a few merry songs. Then Lady Cassandra put them to work and they bowed down to her. It was a beautiful thing. It was all a very lighthearted time, which turned solemn when Count Winterdark came by to take one of us away for a trial. I forget the character's name and was too new in town to ask what it was she was accused of, but it was a dark bit of roleplay for a Sunday morning. Very nice!
Huh. I started writing this thinking that I couldn't remember anything really specific from the last event, but the words just kept flowing! The weekend had some highs and lows, but overall I had a great time! I can't wait until next event. I'm really really hoping to make it to the September event with my Satyr, Ambrosius. [see profile pic] I'm not retiring my pirate, but I miss my horned little devil.
Thank you all for an awesome event!! Big love for all of you!!

Friday
NPC:
-Random wandering pirate crew. Running into Duncan and Birgitta, and being convinced not to mug them by Birgitta's gift of a feather from her fancy hat.
-Getting to be the pirate captain, attempting to sell off the nobility, and putting up with a rather mouthy Magnus...before getting beautifully tortured and mutilated as revenge.
Saturday
-Sir Reginald's tests. In Drega'mire, we get s**t done! Putting an end to our trial with a well timed jump and maul.
-An interesting chat with Atrus, someone Annora doesn't get to interact with often.
-commune with nature naps are best naps.
-Celts have weakness v. pants! Capitalizing on this to annoy Bjorn and Bran multiple times, bwahaha.
-Paladin things, and the most hilarious disbelieving expression I have ever seen Magnus make.
-Grim on main mod: ('zerker growling) "I will make them taste blood and steel!"
*slips and falls in the mud*
(in same guttural growl) "I will fall on my ass!"
*Annora and Godric crack up*
-Accidentally pissing of Tamsyzn
-Matt's alchemist mod!! 110% worth leaving late for. Finding answers, and yelling at Hurgar (with some very mature name-calling thrown into the mix)
-Pacify faceplant
Wut? Did I shrink, or did you grow?!Croínamara wrote: dat moment when renee thought i was karen.

~ Black bird invasion of pirate customers. Free loaders! Almost no one made barrel happy then a perfect cut diamond!?!?! Score!
~ Paying kick up with a barrel piggy bank.
~ The lessons, the fast success. A+
~ The Poker with the worst Gambler in town. 10 second chances later, you still lost that hand?
~ Getting bored of waiting around for the town to move, sneaking to the beach with Ib and Billium. Watching Billium wreck house.
~ Settling a score for Tari. Sorry not sorry Karen Tic toc when will it pop!

~ Mister Tartar refusing to send his ship into the night after successful scrying by Tari of Fross's mug. D's clever idea wasted!
~ Soap table success at Market faire. Thank you all for supporting my hobby and addiction!
~ Meeting and impressing Brazen with my story about messing up unkel's apothekary lab by mistake and making soap. Then using excess flowers herbs and his graces leftover oils/fats from feats for more soaps to clean Travance! Turned my holy symbol into a 3 socket holy symbol. He is a cool God.

~ Business discussions with Matt Calo's pirate. I think we've reached a good decision. RP gold.
~ Kicking people off "My porch" after feast because Demeanor was pissed.
Several of you thanked me for my portrayal of my alt before I had to leave. I'd like to thank you very much for this. It is always appreciated to hear I am doing a good job in a role that is extremely different than what I'm used to playing, not to mention hearing that I've caused other PCs character development or gave them direction.
Take care!

"Edwin, are you going to watch the tournament?"
"Why would I want to watch a group of mostly second tier fighters?" came immediately to mind, but I am trying to be more tactful, so I merely said "No, I am selling food."
Glad to see my Greek salad was well received. Goose gave me a silent complement, in that he did not pause while eating it to speak. I will bring more to September, and maybe october if real tomatoes are available. Speaking of real tomatoes, TY, Teresa A.
Pendarvin has curtains! Three are up and now I have to put up the hooks for the other two in the SH, then we will hang the ones for the IHOP.
Good RP with Victor Sylus (our meetings are short, but intense). Spent some time with new players, explaining by words and actions how I recommend their staying alive. Given my age, my words had weight. Interesting conversation with Hurgar, along with ones with Amov, which I hope sunk in. As usual, it was a pleasure seeing Swyft, who dressed like an Egyptian, shedding part of her Queen of Hearts/Mad Hatter image as a concession to the humidity.
I think I might have resolved the quarrel that the Bank of Travance has with me and my bank. At least I acted as they were going to follow through on it. Nothing Edwin (or for that matter, Charlie) dislikes more than having a serious chunk of time wasted. H opefully, a few employees of the Bank will be looking for other employment.
Taught the last Arch-Casting lesson to Trent, and opened Warlord for others. I am kind of picky who I teach, and try to tailor the lessons accordingly.
Made breakfast both mornings as Luis was cooking feast. I make it a point to feed everyone, but IF YOU SHOW UP PAST 10, 1015 AT THE LATEST, YOU WILL NOT GET A HOT BREAKFAST. If I can haul my sorry ass out of bed at815 to prep and cook it, you can show up by then to order it. Coming in late gets you yogurt.
Sir Jack owed me a meal, and showed up at the Pendarvin SH around 3 AM Saturday to present it to me. Tasted great.
An addendum - Sunday, Norm sent out a commoner to ask Haroldson for some tips on playing chess. We spoke for 15-20 minutes while I distilled what I knew into something that had nothing to do with moving the pieces. It was a nice gesture on his part to occupy me after cooking breakfast, not to mention Norm knew where to send him, as I was definitely heading to the SH after sweating over a hot grill - goodness, I have just become a stereotypical 50s wife.
I will post more later after I recover.

This event is probably my favourite event that I've ever attended since I joined the game a little more than a year ago. I had a bit of a rough adjustment getting into the RP and acting thing due to being a pretty shy, timid, closed-off person who jumps at shadows but over the past year y'all have managed to create a really comfortable environment and draw me out of my shell and man is it FUN!
Where do I even start?
Friday night: I arrived as Pig-Faced Anne, one of Cap'n Charlotte's all-female crew of pirates and had a total blast interacting with y'all! At one point I remember Padma saying "Hey, could you do one of the other songs?" and we just had to belt out "sorryallwememorizedwas...ALL FOR ME GROG, ME JOLLY JOLLY GROG! ALL FOR ME BEER AND TOBACCO!" All of my best NPC experiences have been bardic and this was no exception. Thank you for Kirsten, Garrett for asking me to NPC for you. I loved it.
I was glad I didn't lose my voice, because Saturday Morning...
...being forced to confess to being the Huntress before the entire Tourney as Ketryn was epic! Joe, MB and Goose did an amazing job orchestrating that. I had a blast in quality time RP with them all throughout the weekend. Sam did an amazing job giving me death glares as Godric all day. The icy stares were palpable and chilling. Brooding and being all angsty with Jade afterward was pretty great. I enjoyed the "we all want to kill you" glares from every member of Kaladonia from across the field. Not to mention, Lady Blackthrorne's face when the Knight of the King walked over and asked "Can I borrow your criminal?" was pretty amazing. That night I snuck out of the Alisandrian statehouse around 3 AM and laid down on the dock to look up at the stars. It was amazing to just enjoy the peace and quiet and watch the meteors streak across the sky.
Sunday Morning: The execution. I don't even know how to describe how amazing that was. I was really blown away that the Count himself walked down to haul Ketryn off and an actual noose physrep was put up in Kaladonia. Ketryn had a long and really awesome RP session with Lady Blackthorne about morality. The interrogation was awesome. It was even better that there was a misunderstanding between Kaladonia, the Count and Alisandria that caused a little bit of a "political incident." Gideon was amazing and so dearly morally conflicted about taking a life.
The RP with Dr Darkwood and Dr walker during the surgery was a treat and I can't wait to see where those revelations go. Also, Swyft was a dear bleeding heart whom I never fail to enjoy RP with.
All in all, amazing event. I'm glad I was there.

You're not alone there. I'm still working out some of my kinks, but I've improved a lot.
All of my best NPC experiences have been bardic and this was no exception.
Maybe it's a sign. Just saying.

Saturday I enjoyed helping out with a New Player mod as an imp with infinite respawns until the summoner was downed (Still curious as to whether or not some of those new players looted any of the Gypsy bodies) Valdex also met a new Chaos Warrior which always puts him in a good mood seeing as he is a one himself.
Highlight of my Arrghust event was during Main Mod,
Me:"Body Block!"
Now Dead Pirate: "As I die you see my body go flying into the water and get devoured by a shark"
Sunday: I went with a bunch of new Adventurer's to deal with Greed and Lust. While we simply bought off greed we had more difficulty with the Two embodiments of Lust. After successfully Chaos Blasting one of their weapons I was dominated by the other. This quickly caused some issues for my allies. I chaotically altered one and body blocked the one trying to waylay me. It was then that One of the Gypsies tried to convince me that they were a noble and I should stop fighting my allies. However this did not go so well seeing as I am a Chaos Warrior, as previously stated. Not long after I was Incapacitated and carried off to the side where I fell into critical condition and experienced my second near death moment.
All in all this was a great event to come back to and I can't wait to come back again.
