For people that saw / used my Boot Dryer at the Jan. event - this is what I have:
www.maxxdry.com/products-drying.html
Also, I cannot recommend these highly enough for icy conditions:
www.maxxdry.com/products-gripping.html
You can slip them over IG boots when needed, and take them back off when inside, or in warmer weather.

Another option for the Ice Grips is LLBeans

I personally am debating buying the purple but am afraid that's too out of game even for a gypys.

If it helps any, most people can see your feet when they are under a few feet of snow anyway.

Go with something that will match your boots, so they don't stand out. Black is usually safe, although I have seen bright honkin' purple Sandlars...

Just a word of caution when purchasing any studded or spiked metal winter traction devices
They can be VERY slippery when cominng from the outside to the inside Any smoth concrete, tile oor terraza like floor will see you flat on yoyr backside
In my previous life as an Industrial Safety Specialist we tried different ones because of this We found some slip on galoshes by a company called Jordan/David who manufactured similar devices that had wide strips of # 24 grit built into the soles
www.winterwalking.com/html/gripsshoe.htm
I am not saying to not buy what you like Just make sure to determine if they can cause another type of slipping risk

Brother Germaine: "I just thought you all should know that earlier tonight we killed T'bal."
*blank stares*
Arlington: "Huzzah?"
Brother Germaine: "You know, the enemy that has menaced us for over a year and murdered many of our friends? He's dead."
*a couple of nods*
Arlington: "I believe you can attribute our subdued response to the fact that we're eating bacon."
Brother Germaine: "You have bacon?"
