Latex Weapon Repair

Does anyone know how to repair a latex weapon? I purchased it at the alt event, and when I pulled it out of my bag while unpacking, I discovered it had manifested a tear in the striking tip.

Easy (I hope) questions to answer: What do I need to buy, and what process should I use to fix it?

My only idea, currently, is to buy a bit of shiny liquid latex and just go ahead and dip, but I'm worried that might affect the integrity of the rest of the weapon beyond simply altering its appearance.

there are a few people here who work with latex weapons. I personally recommend Steve O. (Aleister) and Tim P. (Orophin). They could give you advice and/or repair the weapon for you.

If you want to use liquid latex, that should prevent further damage.. at least until you (may or may not need to) apply it again.
Otherwise Steve or I could have a look at the next event.

Adam (Bayou) repaired my five (six?) year old weapons awesomely, if you are looking for someone to do it for you and Steve and Tim aren't around.  If he could fix my old battered swords I'm pretty sure he could repair anything.

Okies... Now to find some shiny silver liquid latex to give it a dip into...

I know, it's only a tiny little tear, but it's gonna end up a silver dagger anyway, so... *shrug*

And now I need to know where to get the stuff... the only place I can find it is all about body paint and such... I don't think that's the same stuff...
