Quick question on getting my role-playing together, is there anywhere to read up on the sylvan more?. I read the 3 paragraphs in the races section and do they have a language I can learn

That being said, the Ear Police (tm) will not come after you if you have larger ears. There's no set rule that your ears need to be 2.34" longer than a human ear. Many people's perceptions on elf ears vary, based on where they base it from - Tolkien & the LotR movies (Short), Anime (Medium), or Warcraft (Long).
You can see a variety at:

Note that the J (10" wire-supported) are a bit TOO much for KR, and will definitely look out of place given the past 10 years of game play and combat.

Most people wear the Woochie brand "Large Space Ears" (marked as Vulcan ears), which can be seen in the Avatar to the left. The smaller ears aren't as noticeable, while the bigger ones are difficult to manage sometimes, esp. if you have hair or wear a hat.
I strongly disagree that most people wear those big ones.
Its alright to wear either. Its not the size that counts, its how you use them...

Huh... I'd never seen anyone use the smaller ones. That, or I can't tell the difference between them...

I didn't like how they couldn't be seen under long hair though so now I wear the Aradani anime ears (the smaller ones not the ridiculously long ones). I was tired of people asking if I was still an elf when my hair was down.

The also have many styles of ears to choose from, with shipping they are a couple bux more but I think they are the best ear going,
As a sylvan I have worn both A and B and I believe Kate's are H, although I did try to talk her into J. Its really all preference as far as size...
I will leave the bad jokes at the wayside and say if you have long hair go with something longer like Kate has so you can see them outside your hair

Yeah, that's what an elf with small ears WOULD say.

As far as ears, I have done several things when I have played my PC and NPC sylvan elves, or any elf for that matter. Generally I have used the woochie's that can be picked up at any costume store or online, they are cheap and you can buy several pair....cause it sucks after a main mod or night fight, trying to find an ear.
Or if you wish to forgo the ears, I played a NPC elf the was exiled from the community, as a disgrace to him his ear were cropped to show his shame and to show the world he is not a elf. But that was a long time back....dunno if its still done.

This is not allowed. Elves have specific make-up requirements to include ears. And if your ears were "clipped" you'd have to have make-up to represent this on your real ears.
