First game at KR was great. was created by Michael P (Michael P)
Hey all.
This past weekend was my first stint out at Knight Realms and I have to say I had a great time. In fifteen years of role playing I have never had a player base so quickly and kindly welcome me into game... even as a dirty gypsy.
That being said, I wasn't sure before going to Knight Realms if I was going to make it a somewhat regular thing or if I was just going to go when a large group of friends were going to be there. I do live in New Haven, so a four hour drive often dampens the idea of most RP events. After a weekend like this however, I will definitely be back.

Thanks guys, like I said I had a blast! Enjoying my shisha with new people, learning about the land from different character viewpoints, and even getting into some fights made the weekend a blast.
Not just as a PC, but even while NPCing too. From portraying my first NPC as an ogre in the kick off mod explaining to the NPCs how a phalanx works. I was pretty sure people could hear us yelling for miles and miles, and I know I lost my voice and still haven't completely gotten it back. Most people were great about pointing little things out and correcting my terminology here and there.
Right now I run a non contact larp of about 35 players, but I know a good number of them have played other boffer larps in the past. With any luck the next time I come I should be able to bring a swarm with me.
... and don't worry, they won't all be gypsy.

Cabin of the Month
The General Store & The Mage's Guild
There are two for March. The Mortar and Pestle gets our vote for March. Paul and Suzi continue to improve the props and decorations every month to run their in-game store. They also offer more items for people to buy, not just for commodity cards, but actual usable items. It is always a welcoming place to step into, and the back room and porch were a nice touch as places for a little quiet time to have a snack or meeting. Keep up the good work. The Mage's Guild also deserves the award for this month. It was well decorated and stayed in game and neat the whole event, despite the number of people staying in there. Thanks for doing a great job!The General Store & The Mage's Guild
