I know you have to be approved to use latex weaponry but I was wondering if there was a specific size or weight requirement for the different swords.
In particular I was looking at the Gaelic Claymore by Forgotten Dreams.

You actually no longer have to be approved to use Latex Weapons. The rule now is that if you are ever called out on using them unsafely, you can have Latex Weapon privileges taken away from you. So just be careful. Latex weapons also have to be approved in person at an event to be used at the game, just like any boffer weapon. This is so that we know the particular weapon is safe to use.
Size requirements on latex weapons are the same as on boffers (see Main Website for details on that, I honestly dont have them memorized). Weight isn't worried about from a rules standpoint - however, if the weapon is inordinately heavy or hard it can be a safety issue, and may cause it not to be approved for use, as per the above.

Just to be a bit more specific for you. A chart with the size restrictions can be found in the Weapons and Armor section of the main web site under "The art of boffer smithing." Or you could just use this handy link:

I have bought a few weapons from Iron Liege. They are not a latex but look very similar I would assume they still fall under the Weapons marshals inspection?

Yes any weapon would need to be inspected. There are many KR players who use Iron Liege weapons.
