Hey all, this is Walter, aka Winks, the newest goblin addition to KR and the one who was all excited about finally joining up this past weekend at Dreamation. Many of you have been bugging me to play for the past year or more so I'm happy to finally get the chance.
One question I do have for all of the full coverage makeup users out there, specifically goblinoids. I've looked at a few different options for buying my makeup, both from the links here on the site and stuff I was already familiar with from my old Rocky Horror days. What, specifically, do you guys use and recommend? More links would also be helpful.
Thanks a lot and see you all in 2 weeks.

Hey!
I'm Tom, been playing an orc for going on 6 years now, and cake make up with a barrier spray works great! I haven't tested with prothetics or varied shades to add a theatrical flare, but I'm happy with that. I tend to apply it wet instead of dry, but that's just my preference.
For the body, if you don't want body make up, looking into under armor. I've seen other people who play full body make-up races do it and it works. (Since the colors are all within reason.)

I also have yellow underarmor, but that is kinda rare to come by... in the summertime I just yellow my exposed chest... I also have tights incase I ever go with my legs exposed.

I love how my greeting post and question about makeup has degenerated into a discussion about Mike's hedonism

i play a goblin and i'd not recommend ben nye actually... i use it and i really hate it. The only reason i'm still using it is because i bought so much initially and i don't want to waste it! it takes way too many coats of green to cover my skin (and even then can still see my skin a little underneath) and like mike said i just cannot get it out of my fingernails after an event. i hear mehron is a lot better you might want to try that (i know i am when i run out of this crap)

I just bought Mehron latex for a few projects and if their make-up is as good a quality, then its probably a sure fire bet.
And speaking of the make-up... Sonya I'll let you know how it works out when I bring in my alt for April as I plan to use their stuff.

When I was a Nyad and played a Dark Elf in other games, Mehron is king. I've learned the easiest way is to actually spritz barrier spray on the mehron powder to apply it wet + seal it. Comes right off with baby wipes, but lasts for hours of rough combat otherwise. That and blending has never been easier!

From Experience i can say Mehron is really good. Where I work we sell Mehron. But Ben Nye and Mehron are pretty much the same in quality. I like Mehron more since we sell it

For this weekend I'm borrowing some of the Mehron water-activated solid from a friend of mine, to try it out before I order my own. I've never used this sort of makeup before, so anyone who'd like to help me out would be very welcome. See you all Friday!
