Younger brother wishes to NPC was created by Jorik (rjvanscoten)
Hello all. I returned from the last event and had a blast, and my younger brother really wants to come. He would like to NPC the first few events, but I wanted to check here and see if it was alright for him to do so. He is 14 years old, and he turns 15 in may. I already made a PC, but I was wondering if I he is able to NPC the event while I PC, or if I should NPC with him. I believe he is mature enough to be able to handle his own for the weekend, but I wanted to know the official policy as well as any insight from those who bring minors. Thanks!

Hi Jorik,
From my own personal experience (I am fourteen myself) it should be fine, I have been going to knight realms for around seven months now and there are really no problems with age. If I remember correctly, fourteen is the age when they allow full contact fighting. Hope this helps.

Maybe if you took the first shift with him, and helped show him the ropes, he would likely be able to handle the rest of the event on his own. I'm usually running a shift Friday night, so I can also help show him said ropes.

You may also want to consider for his first event, that both of you NPC the entire event. This way you can be with him for the duration and he doesn't get overwhelmed. Then his second event, do what Tim suggested.

Rayven I think that is probably the best approach. Don't know why I didn't think of it myself haha. Could certainly use the SP from NPCing the weekend anyways so I think it's a good idea.

Is there any way that we would be able to stay in the inn? or is that reserved for other people?

For the most part the Inn is usually a first come first serve basis. The only room in the inn where that is not the case is the room at the top of the stairs on the right. As that is the Dregamire room and they have that room reserved for them.

Player of the Month
Emerson Daly and Chris Goley
We have two winners this month. Chris Goley is a guy that seems to be everywhere. He stepped up and worked extra shifts, did extra clean up and, he was one of the last people to leave the camp and worked his butt off to get logistics clean. He did so without complaint and always steps it up to help the game. Emerson Daly made the most out of a situation some players might have complained about, thus entertaining all involved and acting as a hook for many PC’s to get involved with plot. He showed enthusiasm, adaptability in role-play, and enjoyment throughout the entire thing, which all together defines a successful event for a player. His contribution as a PC to NPC gave a great addition to the plot. Thank you to you both!Emerson Daly and Chris Goley
