New Player coming to November Event!

Good morning, all!

I am a new player coming to the November Event on the 6th, and figured it was high-time to introduce myself on the forums.

I am good friends with many people in the game, who finally convinced me to "hop on a caravan" to Camp Sacajawea. (Crisis of deciding who to give my referral build to aside) I am very excited to join you all.

I've been in very good hands when it comes to assistance creating my character and learning the rules, but should I have any additional questions, I will be sure to ask!

I will be playing Guo Liang, a bardic scholar from the Jade Empire, for my first event. You may recognize the surname...

BARDS! I camp with a wonderful small group of bards, and though I've only barded 2 events, I'd be happy to see you. If you sing/instrument, I'd also be ecstatic to join on in. Just look for the Dryad (green person) with the doe markings and antler on her head.

I had an absolute blast. I had a lot of trouble with my PC unfortunately (low-level scholars are difficult, to say the least, and without Research or Assist Other, the experience was limited.)

However! What role-play I did have was great, and I don't regret it at all. I will be returning in January, albeit with another character concept. I sincerely thank Derek for allowing me access to his brother. Liang will definitely return in the future, but hopefully when he can come to Travance a bit more experienced.

Jeff -- great performance at Feast! You have a very rich voice.

Julie -- Thank you so much for that offer! I wish I'd seen these posts before the event, I would have loved to meet up. I think I saw you. Great costume! I'll see you in January.

I've heard a handful of people tell me that, so maybe soon I'll start to believe it!

Indeed, there is little many of the classes can do at such a low level, but Scholar definitely has it rough. Still, it's great to hear that you had a blast! Make sure you let the staff know what you liked about the event and even the stuff you didn't, by filling out the Event Recap form.
