I'd be up for it, Derrick. I'm not completely certain how transportation would work out for me, but it'll all depend upon where this was being held, and when. I can't do Wednesday nights, or most Fridays, unfortunately.

Derrick, like I said before, depends on the time and location. I'll talk to you about it as the date gets closer.

well quags i dont know what to tell ya, but shut up and play, if it were on a weekend we could play earily and end in the evening so ppl, if they still wanted to go out in the evening ( as i like to do ) they could still do so. as supposed to a weekday when we would be forced to play in the evening and not get out until LATE in the evening and ppl still have to work the next morning and may cause more issues in the long run.

I kept an eye on the on-line stuff during the free preview period and based on that, I don't think the content that comes out of the on-line Dungeon and Dragon magazines is worth the 5 bucks a month. That is all you are really paying for at this point as none of the digital tools are fully up and running (with the compendium being running, but only partially updated), and once the digital game table and the character builder go live, there will be a second level of subscription to gain access to those tools as well as the magazines.
Any of the adventure info is nothing that you can't find elsewhere for free on the net. The preview materials have been teaser's at best with the playtest classes being the only materials of interest there. They have started up an ongoing campaign (aka: Adventure Path) spanning levels 1 to 30, but are being tight lipped about future campaign developments, so until it is finished the DM running it won't even know what kinds of themes it is going to cover at the end or even in the next module. When the magazines were under Paizo and still in print form, they put out a campaign synopsis to cover that, but WotC has only been willing to give vague teases and nothing that can be used as a basis for prep to run anything that deviates. All this coupled with the irregular article release schedule that months later they are just now starting to address has left me wanting for what it is supposed to be offering.
So while I have really liked 4E so far (regardless of the half heated response from the rest of my group. I am looking at you, Dave) I don't think it is worth it. Maybe once it has been running for a while the value will increase, but for now they still need to find their legs. Also (I could be wrong on this one) but I believe that at the end of each month all of the month's article releases will be combined into a downloadable pdf. document of the whole issue. Meaning that if all I want is the magazine content, I could pay for an ongoing subscription and get it all as it comes, or wait a year and pay for one month and download a year's worth of content.

It's just...different, and not in the good way. There are a lot of small changes that I'm sure will grow on me, but right now they just seem weird. The addition of the special powers for each class is nice, and I enjoy that they are trying new things.
I never said I hated it, I just don't like it.

We should just play at Camp Sac. It's the wintertime and no one is using it. What would be even cooler if you play, and get dressed up like your characters. Oohh... and you can even role-play the combat... er, wait... don't we all ready do this once a month?

My place is near camp sac, and if that's convenient for everyone I can volunteer it for the game.
