Wait.

That's kind of... illegal. Yeah. I'm sure it is.

Piracy FAIL

"Ok we can attack... but if we miss, we'll hit the villagers."
"I'm willing to take that chance!"

Things I am no longer allowed to do in an RPG :
31. The backup trap handler is not whoever has the most HP at the time.
73. Not allowed to name my cudgel Ceremonial Whoopass Stick.
74. My thief's battle cry is not "Run And Live"

Actually, I'd say that the problem here isn't the act of the piracy so much as the ineptitude of the attempt :-P. Piracy FAIL, not Piracy FTL.

But as a person who authored and published games, I have a personal interest in seeing pirates hung - at least out to dry.

I've authored and published games too Charlie :-). Come on, when it comes to abandonware?

Granted in this particular case the game we're talking about doesn't really meet that criteria yet.

Probably a conversation we should have off list :-P

My games are paper, and thus a particularly vulnerable to piracy.  One of our naval warfare games is doing quite well in a certain Asian nation that will remain nameless, but I will say they have a man-made artifact that can be distinguished from orbit.

We never received a penny for repro rights.  With almost two billion people there, who just love naval games  :)...

Abandoned items are something else, but I am a believer in the camel's nose theory of illicit activities.

I think Alex implied that if anyone has a code/s (they arent using), he would be interested in making a deal for them.

He was hardly asking for a case of AK-47's.

Hey, that's what you get when there are game developers on the forum :-P. It's a serious question for us thats more than just academic.

Also, love the chill pill pic.

1: (Link removed) <--- go there and scroll down till you see diablo 2. one of the links will have the sns you need.
2: you can buy an Ak-47 or an AR-15( the semi auto version of an m16) at cabbalas in my option the ar-15 is a better gun. Both start around $1000 assuming you can pass the back round check.

As an aside, please don't post links to / promoting illegal activities on the KR site for the world to see.  While it's unreasonable to think KR is responsible for piracy because of it, it won't stop some companies / lawyers from trying to prove it in a court of law.

Well I would guess that as long as the firearms aren't used on trees, there isn't a real conflict of interest...
