Blood Bowl RELEASED

Blood Bowl (the GW boardgame) has been released on Digital Download only (retail box in Sept. I think).

It's Blood Bowl on the computer, as such it rocks.  Seven teams to start:

Humans
Orcs
Goblins
Skravens (theys tight, yo)
Wood Elves
Chaos
Dorfs

with Dark Elves and Undead waiting in the wings.

The computer AI is... a computer.  Even on tis hardest mode it is going to fall for your devious tricks, as it is only a machine.  But where this game gets HUUUUUUUGE points is that you can PLAY MULTIPLAYER ONLINE AGAINST YOUR FRIENDS!!!

That's right, no more do you need to leave the sanctity of your own lair just to play a game with your buddy.  Wallow in your own mire as you play Jeff in Alabama, ot Joe right up the hill, or Chang over in China.  This in and of itself makes it teh awesome.

Once I get a better hang of it I will try and get a tournament or even a league going, so stay tuned sports fans.

How does the game work?
Is it like a regular turn based dealy, or is it like Madden where you pick plays and then can control different guys after the play starts?

It can be either but I only play it as a turn-based recreation of the board game.

It is entirely true to the GW board game in Classic mode, or you can play it in Blitz mode and add different rule variations, like training between matches, ongoing sponsors and multiple season length campaigns.

Like I said I gotta mess with it more to get a better feel for the admin and whatnot, but  it is a true port of the board game, with a bunch of extra stuff entirely optional.

Oh, and I forgot Lizardmen, mostly cuz I havent played them yet.
