Boston Attack

For those who haven't heard already, earlier today there were (two?) explosions in Boston. More information can be found readily on the web/news. Authorities are working on securing the area and disseminating accurate information/procedures as quickly as possible.

New news: it has officially been declared a terrorist attack.

If we do have any KR players, friends, family out there, I hope they are well. Hardest part of any disaster for those not caught up in it is the waiting game. Phone lines are flooded & communication is hard. Patience, good thoughts, positive attitude are your friends here. The people you wanna hear from will get to you when they can.

Please do not flood the internet or give into emotions at this time. You wanna help? Contact the Red Cross... they are usually the best, safest bet to turn to to assist. Do not donate money to "fly-by-night organizations" that have no reputation or history.

Let me start by saying Jason and I are okay. After going to class and walking the Fenway area though it is quiet, the city is still progressing and showing incredible courage. Some universities and public schools closed today but most stayed open. Public transit is back up and running regularly and most people are continuing on with their lives.

We want to thank all of you for the love and concern that was displayed yesterday, you all continue to make us proud to be a part of this community.
