Damn, Joe and I are in agreement again.  Primal Fear is one of my top movies.  Come to think of it, so is Fight Club.

I love the in-jokes... a clip of Bill Bixby's old tv show... Luo Ferrigno as a campus security guard... the purple stretchy pants... the tv theme song during a walking scene... all good.

The courtship of eddie's father clip was very subtle... the old hulk theme song another good touch.. a lot of nice cross-over reference, and a LOT of homage to the TV series, the beginning was great.  Totally made up for the other hulk movie.

The one that made me rethink Highlander 2 as the most disappointing movie of all time... well... maybe I'm overexagerating a bit.

Most disappointing sequal... I'll give you that.  However, as most disappointing movie of all time... there have been a bunch.

Another thing I remember about the Hulk movie vs the tv version... the death of the Hulk (aka TV version with Luo Ferrigno) featured the Hulk dying from a long fall from an airplane.  The movie had Banner falling from a helicopter and not being able to change into the Hulk until the last second.

So the next movie in line with the Avenger plot line is Captain America, correct?  I wonder if they'll do a Thor movie as well or jump straight into the Avengers and add Ant-Man and Wasp as side characters...

They are writing a script for Thor now which is coming before Cap I think.  The first draft was labeled as too expensive, essentially they are going for a mythological movie and setting it in Asgard aas opposed to Midgard/Earth

I believe Thor is slated to be the "Villan" in Iron Man 2, which is the tie in to Avengers.

And Marvel Studios is looking to take it 'in another direction' by not contacting Jon Farvau again.

I just saw this movie tonight.  I can't believe I waited so long.  Edward Norton is my most favorite actor, Liv Tyler played the best female supporting role in a superhero movie thus far (and I did like Gweneth Paltrow in Iron Man, Liv was just so down to earth awesome), and I never once was even bothered by any of the CGI.  The "almost" love scene, however, had to be my favorite moment.  I love the string of actors that have been coming out to these movies.

I love a movie that makes me come home super happy.

I am quite curious as to how Thor will be done.  I never like bringing mythology into my superhero comics, and thus I was never a huge fan of Thor as the whole godly thing took a little too much suspension of disbelief next to genetics, government experiments, etc.  I prefer tech and sci-fi in my comics (Okay, so I will admit I love Illyana Rasputin with all my heart, demonic powers and all, and then there was the whole Madelyne Prior storyline...maybe I'm just more forgiving when the fantasy elements are feminine and alter-dimensional...).  I worry Thor will fail for the same reasons a Wonder Woman movie wouldn't work for today's audience.  But so far, this new run of Marvel movies is more than I could have hoped for, so I look forward to whatever they come up with next.

If you haven't seen this movie yet, you definitely should.

I still have a crush on Lynda Carter, and I was like 5 when the TV show came out.

Wonder Woman is the hottest of the heroes.

I just don't think we have any current people in hollywood who can pull off the perfection that is wonder woman.  The hair, the eyes, the statuesque form.  The intelligence, strength, and sense of self with out being cocky or at all as if she's out doing a man, but rather she is accomplishing whatever she is setting out to do.  A battle of the sexes was beneath her, but she was still a woman.

Wonder Woman might have to be updated slightly, but to keep her still kind of true what would a modern day Wonder Woman be?

I think Hollywood is scared of female superhero movies... look at Catwoman.  They had some A-list celebrities (Halle Berry, Benjamin Bratt, Sharon Stone), a supposedly good staff of writers, a big budget, and a greenlight from everyone for anything.

The movie bombed, the critics blasted it hell, and it won a Razzie award (in which Halle Berry was in person to receive and was very proud of).

I don't think Wonder Woman would ever get to be made, unless it's done in an alternate type of telling.  Little to no mythology, tone down her powers, and definitely no red, blue and gold bikini outfit and no invisible jet.

Its so true.

I'm wondering which women they'll decide to use for the Avengers.  The ones that are top my head are Wasp and the Scarlet Witch, but I dont know.  Never being a huge Avengers fan (I'm a hardcore X-Men fanatic) I dont know many others that really stand out as iconic.

Yeah but Catwoman bombed not because it was all women, it bombed because the acting was horrible, the story was terrible..I mean comeone...Hally Berry was using a cgi whip.  That and she was dressed like Mickey Mouse..

Well, the original Avengers were Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Ant/Giant-Man, The Wasp and then Cap joined in issue two.  So my guess is they will stick with that lineup.  I would not mind seening Scarlet Witch on the big screen though...

Agreed. I just wish Benjamin Bratt didn't have to be tied to it. He's such a good actor.

I agree... the acting was bad and the FX were cheesy... and that's what Hollywood thinks will happen to Wonder Woman.  How can you make a good WW movie without it being too into the female superhero schtick of Xena-like proportions?

Now, if you made WW an Amazon like the in the www.warnervideo.com/jlnewfrontier/ movie... there could be some possibilities.
