Travance,

War is upon us - for some of us, once again. Almost all of us have fought in some capacity during our time here. This war will test us as a group - as friends, as family, as an army, and as heroes.
Heed the following advice:
- Conserve your resources. Whether it is personal energy, potions, supplies, or anything else finite in nature, keep it in reserve unless you truly need it and have no other choice. The enemy outnumbers us, and will try to wear us down. Use your skills of First Aid instead of a spell, see a physician instead of a healer when you can. Save your best attacks for the leaders and line-breakers of the enemy's forces.
- Don't try to be a hero, and end up a fool. Too many people try to prove themselves, to impress others, to be a hero - and wind up injured, captured, or dying. Getting yourself in trouble costs Travance, as a whole, more effort and resources than if you had not done something to put yourself in that situation. Don't put that burden on other people.
- Work in units. Travel with a warrior, a caster, and a healer. Be aware of your allies as well as your enemies.
- Don't be afraid to call for help. No one will judge you for thinking as a member of an army. If they do, they are the weak ones.
- Be wary of tricks and traps. Our enemy is not a bunch of savages.
- Pay attention to the enemy's tactics. Look for leaders, messengers, or other persons of importance and interest.
- Listen for, and to, your leaders. When a Lord, Knight, or other member of the Nobility gives an order, follow it. If they say to retreat, retreat. If you hesitate, you are endangering not only your own life, but that of your fellow townsfolk. Don't run in a panic, but retreat in an orderly fashion. Similarly, if they say to attack, do so as a unit.

Unless a noble has issue with this, we should try to meet as a group to discuss what is known, what is needed and what resources we are strong or lacking in. Saturday morning at 11 bells in the inn perhaps? Anyone who is brand new to Travance or is not known by members of Travance will be brought to the Monestary first so that we might be introduced before being able to go to the meeting.
