REWARDS!!!

I am Bernard Halfst, and I have been sent here with a Bounty for Goblin, Orc, and Ogre heads! Many merchants and teamsters have suffered significant losses due to the Goblinoid forces, and they hope to see that threat seriously curtailed. We, of course, aren't talking about those who have sworn loyalty to Lord and King, but of those who may be spies, coming around begging for a coin, hiding the dagger behind their back. Those that when faced with numbers cower, but will gladly murder a lone traveler. I will collect the bounties from those who join the cause to keep the roads to Travance safe at six o'clock by the inn.

The following rewards will be granted:

1 Goblin Head = 1 Silver
50 Goblin Heads = 1 Trinket
200 Goblin Heads = 1 Magic Weapon called “The Goblin Slayer”


1 Orc Head = 5 Silver
20 Orc Heads = 1 Random Trinket
100 Orc Heads = 1 Weapon called “Orc’s Lament”


1 Ogre Head = 1 Gold
10 Ogre Heads = 1 Random Trinket
30 Ogre Heads = 1 Weapon called “Ogrebane”

The Baronial Guard would like to emphasize that this bounty does not apply to citizens of the Barony of Travance or the Kingdom of Kormyre. Anyone who turns in the head of a subject of Kormyre in an attempt to collect this bounty will be dealt with in accordance to the law:

None shall bring harm or attempt to bring harm to another, excepting in the virtue of defense.

Whosoever breaks with this law shall be fined between ten and twenty gold pieces, one half of which the Barony will remit to the victim. If the harm inflicted was grievous, then the convicted will additionally spend from one to three months in the dungeon and the victim shall be entitled to one belonging of the convicted. If the harm inflicted was mortal, then the convicted will be publicly executed, and the victim shall be entitled to one belonging of the convicted. If the victim of the crime is an Officer of the Barony or one who is of noble title, then the convicted will be publicly executed, will be stripped of all belongings, and upon the decision of the Baron may be exiled or obliterated. If the convicted has broken with this law before, then the convicted will be publicly executed, will be stripped of all belongings, and upon the decision of the Baron may be exiled or obliterated.

Here are some of the problem areas: I imagine that even a tenderfoot adventurer can take on the goblins, where as the Orcs and Ogres often fight with more proficiency.
