If you have ten seasons experience or less and do not possess a weapon made of silver or gold, come find me and I'll make sure you are properly equipped.
These are troubled times and no one should go without the ability to defend themselves against the supernatural for lack of experience or monetary means.
Keep safe and watch out for each other.

Given the choice, you are all far better off with silver blades than with gold for this upcoming feast.

As a word of preparation, you'll need to bring the silver itself to a Smith, if you need the weapon made. A long sword typically requires 20 silver coins to smelt and forge. Bringing a smith 2 gold won't help, if they don't have the raw silver to work with.
If you have a stash of silver coins, or know someone who does, you will be better prepared.

I'm not an expert on any of this but I've heard of electrum, I believe it's called. What would the cost of making a sword from that material be?

If I remember right, electrum is twenty-two for sword. This can be made by smiths of experience and practice. Of course, if you want to have sword of good make, you need at least superior quality. For just two more gold, your sword will not dull for a month after being sharpened.
If this is too much, then superior silver sword should only be five gold pieces, hopefully not too far out of your reach. This way, there is incentive to find your friendly smith again and again to have the keenness of your blade match the sharpness of your eye for quality.
Best of luck to you,
Ori Polyakov Moroz

Well, It seems as though I will be busy. Ori, electrum is a very unique material; being neither gold nor silver, but having the properties of both. I try to make all of my works be surperior in quality, and I will be more than happy to help anyone that does not have any means of channeling positive energy, or the divine.
I will let you know; I am working on a special project, and will be somewhat busy during this moon.
That being said, I will try to make time for outfitting anyone that needs a silver, or electrum weapon.

If the smiths are overburdened and cannot make a permanent weapon, any competent Enchanter can allow a sword to strike as if it was silver for 5 minutes.

Quan Liu Shen can also supply some silver to those who might not be able to come up with their own. Bolton you may refer such people to me and I'll be happy to help on behalf of the Warrior Monks of Travance
