Subjects of Travance,
With so much loss in the world, the Barony of Travance can well expect a swelling tide of refugees to arrive upon our shores in the coming months. Our Barony fared far better than most areas of the world and those left without anything will turn their eye towards us, some in hope, others in envy and avarice.
Note that Sir Slack McDermitt has made considerable effort to expand the areas around Valdalis to accept the influx of refugees arriving via the Rift Gate.
Should Lord Tartaros require the assistance of the Barony in relocating the refugees arriving by ship at Port Valandra, we stand ready to receive them. I am uncertain if Lords Brightstar and Ardentfyre will be seeing an influx of goblinoid refugees from our New Gaaldron neighbors to the north. Also, not much is known of the lands to our East, so should Lord Hellock and Ostcliff see an upsurge in visitors from those unknown lands, the Barony again stands ready to aid.
These next few months, perhaps even years, will be hard for the Barony. With so much worldwide destruction, we will have to rely on ourselves that much more. However, I know that the heroes of Travance have faced the greatest crises this world has ever known and triumphed. We will do so again here.
