In Remembrance of Julie was created by GJSchaller (GJSchaller)
A year ago, a simple commoner had the heart to stand up to Xualla, and gave her life doing so. I oversimplify things (greatly), but the memory of her courage and heart still stands.

Godhand, Maggie, and Winnie too. Even the others who only regretted the decision when they realized what was going to happen to them. They were driven to that desperation, even if it was a poor choice. Many candles to be lit.

We are not heroes, anyone who calls us such is wrong. The real heroes are the every day "common" folk. And these people, Godhand, Maggie, Winnie, and Julie are the perfect examples. If it wasn't for the average person who works every day, towns, cities, even great kingdoms would fall. For every chair their was a carpenter, for every hide their was a hunter. We owe all we have, all we ever will have to the common person. In my opinion, calling someone "common" is the best compliment that can be given.

Do not forget Dr. Alphonse St. Claire. He performed his duties and showed mercy even when Xualla had hold of his mind.

While I do lament the loss of a few brave people, do not forget the thousands upon thousands of other people who were simply living their lives before having them forcibly removed from them. Need I remind everyone of entire kingdoms that fell because of Xualla's vileness. So, rather than, or in addition to, consoling the death of a few specific people, let us remember the lives of countless others who were living ordinary, happy lives before Xualla's lust for control plagued the world. May Galladel guide their spirits. And Domonic, I would have to disagree with your statement of saying that we are not the heroes. Did you already forget of the heroic actions of Janus Ivillious? May the gods watch over him. We would have all been dead were it not for the Pegasus. Janus was and always will be a hero though he is by no definition a "common" man.

Well written Lathiel, I will remember the kinsman who fought for my name against Xualla's taint and all the folks who lost their lives. We will continue being brave and fighting until we no longer can or are needed.

Those few days, a year ago, were some of the most memorable days of my time in Travance. Julie will never be forgotten. Winnie's, Maggie's, and Godhand's stories will always be with us, passed down through generation of Travancians. Thank you,
Sir Weaveforger, for posting a reminder in honor of these people.
Sir Silverbow, Those are wise and true words. I thank you for sharing them.

Signed and Sung,
Rowan Uidhir

Grimkjell,

I do believe that some sort of remembrance would be good for the town. If people are willing, I would like to have a service for them, as well as all of the others who lost their lives to the demons in the past year.
Perhaps at some point, when the festivities are at a lull, we can gather somewhere in the proper for this. I understand that her remains were burned by the lake, perhaps we can go there? Let me know if this will work for all of you.

Signed,
Father Elric Ashby.
