A Sonnet was created by Sindarion (Steven SA)
Sonnet of the Dawning Year

I write upon the waves of foreign seas,
I've seen a sight or three I'd naught seen 'fore
With pen in hand, and at my back, the breeze,
Perhaps, the same that rushed in age of yore.

I think as I must do, 'pon winds of auld,
What else of time ticked past still stands this day?
Or what that passed bygone casts off its mould
And rose anew in fin'ry fit for play?

What lurks or 'lights in hearts of lad and lass
is merely bearing roles in diff'rent time.
The wines we drink are poured in changing glass,
yet inked again on ancient walls in rhyme.

Such timeworn feelings through my heart doth wind,
In thine, I pray, might wander same in kind.

- Written on December 29th, 1214, aboard the Sea Otter
Sent on December 31st, through Port Valandra, Drega'mire

Sincerely,
Sindarion Sinclair
