Travance Fall Festival!
(oog child and parent friendly event)
Lords and Ladies,
On August the 27th of the year 1216 the Barony of Travance will be hosting a Fall Festival! An open market fair is encouraged, so if you have goods to sell feel free to bring them and set up shop inside or outside the dragons claw inn! Here are some of the activities that will be running throughout the day!
BBQ!
• The grilling station will be commanded by your one and only Slightly Sane Billiam and his team of likely more sane friends! Many delicious foods will be grilled, but feel free to bring something special to be grilled up! The Travancian Swear Jar will be at the grilling station! Make sure you pony up your gold for your mistakes, or even toss a gold or two in as a tip for all the grillers and helpers!
Crafting Corner
• When you enter the Crafting Corner, your Career Points are temporarily refreshed to full. You may use these Career Points for as long as you are in the Crafting Corner.
• When you leave the Crafting Corner, your Character Card is reset back to where they were before entering the Crafting Corner (including Career Points, Body Points and Effects).
• You may only enter/use the Crafting Corner once every two hours.
• The Crafting Corner is open from 12 noon until 5:59pm.
Drench a Henchman
• Volunteers will be paid 10 gold to spend 15 minutes in the stockade. (Volunteers may Volunteer once every two hours)
• Festival Goers may purchase water balloons to throw at the ‘Henchman’. 1 Gold for two throws.
Lucky Jailor
• You may pay 5 gold to the Jailor (A member of the Guard) to place someone in the cell for 10 minutes.
• The prisoner may pay 5 gold to the Jailor to reduce their Jail time by 5 minutes.
• Other people may pay 5 gold to the Jailor to reduce the prisoner’s time by 5 minutes.
• Once a person has been sent to Jail, they cannot be sent to Jail for the next three hours.
• Every 5 gold spent earns you one ticket.
• At 5:30pm the Jail will Close.
• At 6pm there will be a raffle and one lucky winner will have their choice of:
o All the Gold Collected from the Lucky Jailor
o A 3 Socket Item with 3 Morphic runes
o An Artifact (oog-15 build worth of skills chosen by the player and approved by the Rules Officer. No unique skill)
Sparring Ring
• When you enter this ring, you will have access to your full combat skills as if the period had just refreshed.
• When you are dropped to any part of your death count, you are immediately ejected from the ring.
• Upon leaving the ring, either voluntarily, or involuntarily your skills and body will reset to where they were before entering the ring.
• Once you leave the ring, you may not re-enter it for 10 minutes.
The Great Wheel!
• Spin the Great Wheel! All festivalgoers are allowed a spin and may not spin again until at least an hour has past since their last spin.
• The game master will oversee your spins and will issue your rewards! Win gold! Win a pick of objects from out of our mystery sack! Win an authentic pirate treasure map! Win a limited addition signed and numbered bust of Jonas Kane!
Guardsman’s Glory!
• Each player pays one gold for a colored ball, which represents the thief. When all balls are purchased, they are released simultaneously down the shoot, representing you trying to send that thief to jail. If your ball finds its way to its matching colored jail cell, you win ten gold! If it lands anywhere else the thief gets away with your gold!
• The game master will oversee the game and will take collections and make pay-outs.
Alisandrian Cornhole!
• Two teams with two players each take turns throwing bean bags at the cornhole! On the board is one point, in the hole is three! On each turn team points cancel each other out and only the overage amount is added to the score. The first team to gain fifteen points wins!
• Who will claim the title “Master Cornhole of Travance!”?
“Theres treasure in those there hills, and forests and stuff!”
• An eccentric town philanthropist has seen to it that the woods are littered with items of value to be found! The guard have done a good job clearing the woods of monsters, however sometimes the occasional rare creature has been spotted so use caution!
- Throughout the day and later in the evening who knows what else could happen?!?!?! It is Travance after all!!
- For the younger adventurers there will be a multi-part adventure and a treasure hunt they will be guided through! One day they are going to replace you, so teach them while they are young!
