Greetings,
There have been a number of misconceptions and half truths thrown around as of recent about the upcoming battle with Icarus. Though my time is short as i am prepping my own forces to assist your town, i will clear up as well as redistribute the information i have already offered.
The number of creatures Icarus has devoured is no longer trackable but some of the more powerful and obvious are a Phoenix, a Beholder, and a Kracken. Additionally 2 of its “legs?” have become to look like roots, i believe this is a result of it devouring more plant life than animal, as such during the day it tends to burrow into the ground connecting it roots to the local Flora and absorb sunlight, this will buy us a short reprieve from the main body, allowing us time to prep the cannons…
Icarus will take whichever path into the proper that has the most food on the way, that being said, so as not to sacrifice your populace, I have simply placed the weakest of my flawed creations in the locations your people have evacuated from working as a trail of breadcrumbs to lead the main body to an empty field. It will be held at this field for 24 hours via “Living Lightning”
A brief overview of the strategy i had discussed with town members, Please note my wayward creations calling themselves “The brotherhood of free homunculus” have agreed to this strategy and we will be seeking out the guidance of your warlord and nobles to adjust and execute it.
Upon Icarus being trapped in this field it will most likely release creatures it has absorbed in great numbers to travel about your proper gathering up any organic matter to drag back to the main body I recommend breaking the town off into groups of 10 throughout the night and wandering the roads to stop these Icarus spawns from strengthening the beast, any and all Homunculus of considerable power have agreed to follow the leads of these groups, though it is smart to only have one per group, additionally 1 in every 10 spawns is likely to be based off the homunculus slayer design, allowing them to capture homunculus no matter how powerful, please ensure none of them get dragged to Icarus or we will all have a very big problem on our hands.
Saturday morning icarus should be in a state of rest, while it will still be sending out spawns they should be less frequent and less of a threat, this will buy us time to gather the materials for the cannon adjustment and specialty munitions, as well as possibly find some ways to dampen some of its more impossible powers
Saturday afternoon, any crafters ritualists engineers etc. Not only will we need to build these cannons and munitions we intend to overclock them pouring as many different sorts of supernatural energies as we can in as many ways available, while this will give the weapons a shelf life of approximately 12 hours, it will allow them to pack enough punch to stop the main body
Saturday Night- My creations will position the cannons on the field that the beast is trapped we will need multiple teams,
Some to fire the cannons (i recommend those less experienced in close combat, or those too exhausted to continue fighting)
Some to fight the large number of Icarus spawn it will be releasing in a panic
Those who do not fear death i recommend combating and distracting the beast itself
And some to run through the battle field and collect expended cannonballs so they may be reloaded… the reloading process may be done by any alchemist or smith
As it is damaged the different creatures it has absorbed will be released most of which will simply die or be stopped by conventional means but there are two of great power which will not be so simple, i imagine Icarus will try to hold onto these two the longest. The Beholder, and the Phoenix, I believe your Lord Tartaros has a plan for these
After enough beating on the biomass Icarus will be broken down to her core, i will be placing her somewhere she will be happy and no longer a threat to anyone, after such I will leave You tend to your wounded, The Brotherhood tend to theirs, and i will tend to mine.
I understand that you may not trust me, just as i do not trust most of you, but please understand this is too dangerous a situations for any of us to deal with on our own

Why the urge to keep Icarus around after she is defeated? Unless you intend to remove her from our plane and timeline entirely, there is no way you could, with absolute certainty claim, she could never escape and start this all over again. Considering you also consider her flawed what is your motivation for keeping her alive in one piece?
I only state this as one who also creates. From what I am reading and hearing from towns members I have no real reason to believe that you can control Icarus indefinitely. I believe it would be wise for you to share your real motivation for keeping her alive or share how you intend to keep her imprisoned. You don't seem like the emotional type so I would doubt a Father's loving care is what is motivating you. How does her continued existence help you?

I would never take away the privilege of destroying one's creations from it's creator unless necessary, do not worry about that. In all fairness, I only care about dealing with the Exemplar and Vestige that are trapped inside Icarus and what really concerns me is that you say you have the ability to trap her where she cannot harm anyone or anything, but all of this started from the town releasing her accidentally . So I'm really wondering what steps you are taking to prevent such an occurrence from happening again.
Though, you don't seem to want to address that, though to be fair, I would't either, but I guess all will be present to see at the battle with Icarus.
P.S: I hope you don't take any of this personally Doctor, I just have very strong interests about how one handles their own creations, especially ones that do not comply to their creators will.

Is living lightning the only thing that can keep it immobile or will Primal Lightning also work? I know that Hommunculi cannot process druidic energy so i thought perhaps that that might help as well. If Primal Lightning will work or at the very least hurt the creature I have devised a ritual that just might help out in this circumstance.

As far as your "Primal forces go" we are intolerant to it similar to the way a north man gains no benefits from the arcane, I feel it might actually be less effective than say Arcane lightning, or god forbids an actual reliable source and lightning generated through machinery instead of your silly dirt worshiping, as we the more advanced among us have also built up a resilience to these "primal energies"

I'd think twice before I insulted them and their ideas of trying to help you, lest you find yourself abandoned by everyone you've sought to turn to your side.

If that is all you have to say Heimdall, I will see you when Icarus arrives and show you what "dirt magic" can really do to your creations.

I see words of death littered around Icarus's name. To add, I see both studiesness and ignorance shown to the one known as Heimdall. Why must you attempt to kill such a creature, when the creature itself is more true to its intentions than yourself. Why must you criticize the fauther of this child; do we hang mothers for giving birth to murderers?
Now I will help stop this soul from claiming our own; but if your aim is to kill her, don't dare say you are of higher moral compass than you preceve it to have. For Icarus does as Icarus is, gluttony is only natural.
I'm sure there is a middle ground that we can find as to what to do with her when we are at the end of this sanario.

It is not ENTIRELY ineffective against Icarus, simply as a former resident of Londwyn i have found Primal or "druidic" energy to be the least reliable of the "supernatural" energy sources in the world.
Lord Tartaros, Mr. Nesterin
You are correct, I should avoid bickering, and starting arguments, I recognize that i have little ground to stand on in this situation.

Who is to say, what is not ment to be. In my eyes, all is natural to me. For it exists, therefor it is, therefore it lives, and it has just a soul such as yourself. Would you deny a creature the right to live; I know I would.

You are in fact, incorrect about how undead are made, so I cannot take insult. The reason I draw the similarities between undead and homonculi are because they are both constructs made by different means. The Father uses Alchemical methods to his and I use magic. I do not 'raise corpses'. That's time consuming and why do that when I can take the ambient decaying magic around me and form a construct that listens to my every command. They look like corpses because that's just kinda what the ambient rotting magic looks like. I could form it to look like a dog, or a cat or a bird if I so wished. That is not to say that corpses could not be raised, but that's gross and not something most necromancers can do.
But this isn't the place to educate on how necromancy works, though, my only curiosity is in the Father's methods and making sure that his children do not consume more Exemplars and Vestiges.

Jeff and Katie took the NPCs to the next level with their Dwarven Beards. Called "Majestic" in recaps, the quality and diversity of the beards helped the already well done racial roleplay by the NPCs even more convincing and helped the atmosphere to reach an almost staggering degree, compared to that of the common cheap costume store beards. The bar is set on beards and we have not seen one that looks so good and is wearable in a LARP. Thanks for your hard work guys!
