Travance,
This past Feast, many of you met with ambassadors from these other groups. Many of you came to agreements concerning proposed actions to be taken by both sides.
Aside from the Treaty of Tavrick, none of these proposals are ratified. While Coast Haven & Balliol deliberate on the terms you proposed, your government here must also review them, at the very least to ensure that none of them contradict each other.
Either post the text here, or missive someone on the Council with it.

I cannot speak for the other groups, however, two proposals that came out of the first group in regards to the Coast Haven delegation are..
-Clearing and maintaining and path through the burrows to establish a land based trading route.
-Sending in a search party to rescue and or recover the 'missing' member of one of the merchant families and return him to Coast Haven.
Both came with caveat that all Coast Haven forces would depart from Kormyrian Territory.
For those in the first group, feel free to provide additional input.

Sir Gras,
I believe we can, as they say, throw those proposals being enacted out the window. Damien shot one of the heads at the table. Can't imagine we are on good terms with Coast Haven after that.

My group made an agreement with regards to the mass of demons in the south.
The Dukes legion and Kingdoms Legion near Farield will cease hostilities temporarily and move south and take on the demons that are there.
After they are dealt with, there would be a time of peace to allow both forces to heal from their losses. That time to be determined after the fight.
Belegchand also proposed them leaving to the empires territory when the demons were taken care of. They refused at the time.
Belegchand has more details, as well as a person taking notes, though I don’t remember her name.

Being someone who looks at that war map fairly regularly, I was the one who suggested the trade route maintained by both sides. Kormyre and Coast Haven haven't had that since the demon wars. Seemed like a good idea at the time anyway, as it was one of the few things that gave them legitimate pause.
Also remember, this is Coast Haven we're talking about. There's at least a 50/50 shot that the assassination showed them we mean business. Seems like decent odds.

You are wrong; do not be so defeatest. The fate of nations is rarely decided by two people of no real authority or position shooting at each other, particularly compared to things like encroaching hordes of demons. As well, there was information brought to light by the False Prophet's spilled truths that may help our position when it comes to this incident.
I should have stated that this was not to be a thread for discussion. We need to collate information, not wade through one of Travance's famous philosophical arguments. If you want to discuss that, start a new posting.
To the rest of you, thank you for the information given so far. Hopefully we are able to collect the rest of this information swiftly.

I believe I made this clear to Aleister, but if those demons so much as toe the line of our borders, I. WILL. DESTROY. THEM. Anyone who wishes to help is welcome to, but know that if they try anything that is where you will find me.

Lady Lois,
That Friday night, I ventured off with Owen Piper's group to speak on, I think, Tavrick and Travond. Whole lot of T names being bandied about. Anyhow, as a gesture of good faith, they gave us Krystoff Hornswood back as they'd been keeping him as a prisoner for quite a while now. We also have their word that they will leave one of T cities, but not where they will go--Talaniel has my appreciation for asking pointed questions of clarifications, especially in that regard. Finally, there's a ceasefire that will end as soon as the summer starts.
I hope someone else from our group comes and adds to what I've blathered here. Astraea and several others were taking notes.

Why not simply wait for Coasthaven to clear out the burrows? Then attack while they are weakened from that fight. It would cost us less, and even if they fail it doesn't change what we need to do. They have no real bargaining point here, we don't understand why you entertain them. Ether way they need to break through the burrows, simply put.
You all seem terrible at this war business.

Coast Haven isn't our enemy.
And I'd like to keep Kormyre's trade deals going with them. Shooting that delegate was likely the smartest move in that negotiation.
I'll reiterate Lady Heimdell's request.
Keep the debate out, post up only the facts of the negotiations.

My group threatened not only the Counts trade deals but also the Sultans trade deals. I was told to pick the side I feel would win and support them. I am sure if I send a missive he too would be willing to threaten trade with Coast Haven.

When the first treaty was signed Friday night, we moved onto the second. The very first words of it were "The Count will surrender" and I stifled my laughter long enough to ask all of them if they personally believed His Grace would agree to that. After they stared at me blankly for a moment, there seemed more a deflection than a genuine response. I can't remember what the rest of that treaty even said, but I suppose it doesn't really matter.

Lady Lois-
Was the initial treaty reviewed by His Grace or any members of the Grand Council? When we met with His Grace prior to going into the meeting with the Empire of Kormyre, he indicated that we were going in to discuss the treaty prior to signing. We were them completely blindsided when we went into the meeting to find out the treaty had been signed by non-nobility prior to the second group even entering to discuss these matters. We weren’t really allowed to ask questions about that first treaty, and when we tried we were berated by the Imperial forces for not knowing and treated as stupid. It was a very disheartening meeting where, if you were not in that first group, you had no say or even knowledge of what we all apparently agreed to.
We attempted to make some suggestions but near all of them were shot down immediately.
I’d suggest, in the future, that treaties that impact all of us either come from the Grand Council, His Grace, or be allowed to be discussed with everyone before only a couple of people agree to them.

They claim to be searching for Henry Quito, a member of a prodigious Valosian family that controls the city of Leighrye. It would be prudent to confirm Henry's existence at all, and if possible his true location.

The name of the scribe Caelvan mentioned is Astrea, and I would seek her for more information.
The basis of the opposing argument was that we have left the Burrows unattended to for so long that we have lost our claim to them. The delegates regarded our inactivity as a form of weakness, that we could not "handle" the Demon Burrows. They were ultimately allotted three months to conduct their business and withdraw their men.
I understand the purpose of this posting is to collect unbiased information, so if I may bolster Cara's last statement - the delegates flat out told Jackdaw and myself that any good will we had built within the first two sessions was lost after Cyan left his seat to physically intimidate and threaten Captain Flint Rogers of the delegation team.
It seemed unlikely that any form of formalized treaty was to be born of these negotiations from the start. The High Diplomat Jadari consistently qualified his team as emissaries of the Merchant Council, only capable of transmitting information back to the council for further discussion.

Inquisitor Ninnyhammer,
Cyan claimed among a sheaf of parchment nearby that he was instructed to be threatening by His Grace. Should we verify the veracity of his statements, this may affect the High Court's decisions regarding another townsmember.

Nalick, I can assure you that Cyan took the direction much too far. The Count instructed the groups to present a strong front and to not cow when they made threats. He did not instruct us bring them any harm. They were only emissaries, so threatening them personally would have accomplished nothing.

Apologies for my late response Lady Heimdell,
The envoys claimed they were searching for a person missing in the demon burrows. They were rather unwlling to say more than repeat this excuse over and over. Much of our company was spent pulling apart this excuse, and I'd rather give their explanation all the barring it had on the negotiations by not mentioning it again, but you asked that I leave personal opinions out of it.
The three groups came in, they were offered both kindness and shows of strength, some more enthusiastic than others.
It was made clear to the envoys that Kormyre was not pleased by their unexplained advance into what is our territory, they were informed that it was likely soldiers would be sent to assist them in their efforts, and since it was Kormyrian territory they didn't get a say in if whether we would or would not park an army right next to their camp. It was proposed that if they wished to assist Kormyre in clearing the demon burrows they could and overland trade routes could be established. It was communicated over the first two groups that it was in their best interest to work with us, that they would profit more by having us as ally and not enemy.
Thanks to the last group we gave them a time limit of 3 months to finish their business and pick up and leave, or [strike]come up with a better lie[/strike] have more compelling reason to stay. If within 3 months they were not gone, we would be talking again and less friendly, and considering how unfriendly we were at the end there, probably enough to give them pause.
And then Damian shot a guy, which you and I discussed the ramifications of that. Assuming no one in Coast Haven is mad is dead, which is pretty likely they will in fact take the message in ways they wouldn't otherwise have. He also lied to everyone, used that as a cover to infiltrate the meeting, and shot someone. I assume there was some level of Kormyre law violated there, but there are people who will decide his fate that aren't me.
