I don't know if its my good fortune or misfortune that my first KR experience is an alt event but either way I've got a question!

Is there a way for me to act as like, a barmaid or kitchen help or something without actually being an NPC and thereby basically removing myself from the game? I thought something like that would be a good way to get a feel of things (plus the only LARP-suitable clothing I have besides my normal costume is standard Ren Fair peasant girl :-P), but I don't want to be completely passive. My normal character is going to be a rogue (thief, swashbuckler, spy, something along those lines), if that matters.

Maybe I could be a roll a bard (i'm a decent singer) PC and just stay around the tavern...? Seems like a waste to be a bard when I can't play an instrument :-P.

I was reading somewhere on the site about gaining points by helping out in the kitchen, cutting veggies, etc. FWIW, I'm a damn good cook, if that matters.

Things I am no longer allowed to do in an RPG :
31. The backup trap handler is not whoever has the most HP at the time.
73. Not allowed to name my cudgel Ceremonial Whoopass Stick.
74. My thief's battle cry is not "Run And Live"

I'm cooking feast and can certainly use yu in a kitchen capacity for a few hours, at a minimum.  You will be amply rewarded with Service Points.  I also will be NPCing the entire weekend and hope to have a recurring NPC as a Hobbit Chef.

I'd say I've got a handle on this... I made up a book of songs, grabbed my ocarina, some runestones, tarot cards, a leatherbound book of fables... I think I'll make a halfway decent gypsy/bard/waitress :-)

As someone who plays a bard believe me- playing an instrument is not required. lol. Songs and stamping sometimes works just fine ;) See you there!
