Rules Update: Blade Poisons was created by GJSchaller (GJSchaller)
The text for Blade Poisons has been adjusted as follows:
The Alchemist class has added the skill Detect Poison at a cost of 2 build.
Blood Grooves, and all references to them, have been removed from the game.
[hr]
Commentary: Note that Blade Poisons can be applied to ALL weapons, not just bladed ones. It is assumed that maces have spikes, flanges, or edges that can hold them as well.
Blade Poisons are a special kind of poison that must be applied to a weapon. It takes 10 seconds to apply a blade poison. The next attack delivered with that weapon uses the poison in place of the attack, as if it were a periodic skill in all respects. Damage dealt by a Blade Poison may be augmented by the skill "Backstab Proficiency," adding the additional damage from that skill to the poison's damage. A blade with blade poison on it can only be detected by using the skill Detect Poison on the blade, or by being affected by the poison.

So, just as a clarification so there's no confusion in my head or anyone else's, with this new revision, one does not have to have venom grooves added to one's weapon in order to use a blade poison?

Correct. Venom / blood grooves have been removed from the game. Blade poisons can be applied to any weapon.

All bladed weapons, or all weapons, including blunt and staffs?

Yes. That was one of the changes that came along with the removal of blood grooves. Blade poisons can now be applied to all weapons, including blunt and staff weapons.
