The Obsidian Raptor’s Death’s Hand:
When Obsidian Raptor’s are prowling about they will be accompanied by the Death’s Hand. It will be represented by a player in a white headband with a glowing red hand. This player will move at a heel/tow pace towards anyone on the ground. If it touches a downed player they will instantly die. It cannot be intercepted, and the hand has no body so it cannot be effected by skills. However it must touch the downed player, and they have to be down. If you can heal them or move them the hand can’t get them.
Knowledge Tokens /The Arcanist’s Tome: (The Scholars Tome)
“Discovered by academics, the Arcanist’s Tome is a book crafted by the Weavesmith to take notes and compile information from multiple sources”
While the weekend is designed to be fun no matter how much you pay attention, unlocking entries in the scholar’s tome can provide some big advantages on mods. If you want answers, unlocking those entries will provide them. Since it’s supposed to be a fun adventure weekend, I want you to find answers not just by reading books but by punching bad guys and finding lost treasure! Entries in the scholars tome can be unlocked by collecting “knowledge tokens,” small glass beads in red, blue and gold. Red beads are worth 1 token, blue are worth 5 token and gold are worth 10 token. Tokens will be loot on bad guys and mods, hidden in treasure hordes around camp, or can be gained from friendly and semi-friendly NPC’s.
Each entry in the scholars tome has a value of tokens needed to unlock it. Once you’ve collected enough you still need the Research Skill to turn them in and unlock the entry, but anyone can collect them. So punch bad guys and help your smart friends learn secrets!
Pieces of the Lock Eternal:
That which has been sought by many, including your enemy. The pieces of the Lock Eternal appear to be made of every strand of the weave. Only they can seal the Tower of the Blinding Glory if it is opened, which means you will need them to win main mod. They will change hands throughout the weekend, and you probably want to keep them out of the hands of the Red Glove, because each piece you don’t have going into Main Mod is going to make winning that much harder, and you can lose this event. The pieces themselves are powerful and carrying one can give you some benefits. Holding a piece will allow a person to refresh Up to 20 body OR up to three uses of a periodic ability.
Once this ability is invoked, you must pass the piece off to someone else. It can not be invoked as a reaction. If a person holding a piece is dropped to zero body, they must hand over all pieces of the lock to the attacker who rendered them incapacitated. This rule applies to NPC’s carrying a piece of the lock.
