Charity Fund-raiser and Raffle: Putnam Humane Society was created by dedrite (dedrite)
Knight Realms will be hosting a raffle for the Putnam Humane Society.
www.puthumane.org/
The Putnam Humane society located in Carmel, New York, is in the process of raising funds to help them move from their current, over crowded facility to a newer and more spacious compound. Please consider helping a group of hard working volunteers give aid to abandoned or abused animals. Help them give those animals a future full of food, warmth, medical care and companionship until someday, they may find them a suitable home.
First Prize will be a module written just for you by the KR staff! We will write the module, provide the npc's, marshals and treasure! The module will be a custom adventure and you can choose your companions. Who knows where you will go or what you may find.
Second Prize will be a magic item sought after by any adventurer. It is an item capable of bestowing the power of luck to its bearer, 1x/weekend. Whether is winning a hand of cards or avoiding that horrible fate by the skin of your teeth, this item will come through whenever you need it.
Third Prize will be a voucher, good for one free event (within 6 months of issue date) and a pouch of treasure.
Tickets will be on sale for $5.00 each (starting at the June event) and 100% or the profits will go to Putnam Humane Society. Any and all straight donations will also be accepted, regardless of amount.
Tickets will be on sale during check-in on Friday near logistics for a few hours and sometime on Saturday, most likely during market faire. Details will be announced at each event up until the August drawing during the Baron’s feast.
**In addition, I will have an item up for silent auction. It will feature a pair of quality leather and scale mail bracers with straps and buckles for a proper fit. You can make a qualifying offer and the winners will be announced in August.**
We will gladly accept quality donations for this or future fund-raising events. We plan on running 3 large fund-raisers per year with additional charity drop offs like toys for tots. Details will be posted throughout the year with instructions on when and how you can help.
Thank you in advance for your help!

What about those that can not attend, but wish to donate and be apart of the drawing?

Good question Tom.
If you dont think you can be make an event by August, you could have a buddy make the donation/buy the tickets for you.
Another option is to "PM" me and I can give you an address where I can reserve your tickets or the money can just be donated to the total collected.
thanks again.

I got my very first dog from the Putnam Humane society. They manage their funds really well and keep a great facility so give what you can!
going slightly off topic:
The best pizza in the world is actually in a shop next to a movie theatre in Carmel, when I say best pizza in the world im not kidding. Ive tasted pizza from Lombardi's in NYC and everywhere in between. This guy is the best.

My housemate, the knitter of fine fingerless gloves, skarves and hats and things is interested in donating a few things for 'other' prizes in the drawing. Would the fund raiser be interested?
We just lost our 16 year old fluffy cat Troubles to a tumor, and she offered to help when I told her about the fundraiser, so she can help da critters.

When I had a machine shop in Philly, the guys found a cat in basement. Knowing I lived in the sticks, they presented me with her. Getting her in the carrier proved troublesom for them, thus they told me her name was Troujble. It stuck the entire 19 years we had her and proved to be an apt name, both for us and the wildlife.
