I'm looking to buy a flintlock that is acceptable for KR and can fire blanks.

I AM looking for help to search for them online, I am NOT looking to by from any players (I'm looking to buy new).

If anyone can post links and reviews for me for Flintlock pistols that you know [have potential to be] passable at game, please post them here.

Thank you to everyone in advanced!

All weapons used for arquebus or the two heroics have to be approved before being used.

That being said, Katie and i found a place that we will be ordering from, which we feel should work. i will post a link later

From the Web Links section of the KR Website:

www.collectorsarmoury.com/products.asp?d...4&val=0&pagenumber=2

Page 2 (linked above) has several Colonial / Civil War era flinklocks that James has already given the OK on.

If you find other links, please share them, and we'll add them to the Web Links section of the website!

There are some possibilities here too, and a couple players I know have already purchased them from here.

When the Ren Faire comes around, I can never seem to find time to head out to it.

One thing to keep in mind when looking at these pistols: you are more likely to find a proper one if you look at percussion pistols and not flintlocks. These are technically more modern than what we would be using IG, but they have the nub necessary for placing the cap. Flintlock replicas that I've seen lack this.

Perfect!
Thanks for the heads up, Jason. I just looked more closely at the replicas, and Jason is right.

If you're a CoastHavener and you're looking at picking up the skill package with Arquebus...Or even the dread pirate/Dashing swordsman skills, take Jason's post into consideration. If you can't fire the cap so that it makes a bang and smoke...The skill does NOT work, at least, according to the rules made so far (Rules marshals please verify for me if that is a final standing).

Keep the websites coming if you find any.
Thanks guys!

Only the Colonial Flintlocks, in Matt's link are acceptable, right? The western pistols aren't accepted?

Western pistol? Wouldn't think so.

Help the rules marshals and post a link to one that you were looking at.

No, western pistols are not accepted. It may be a flintlock or percussion cap style pistol. If you want eras, Pirate, colonial and Renaissance style guns are most appropriate.

There were some Old West pistols that could have been decent but, I don't know.

There's nothing stopping you from bringing something in, getting it looked at by logistics and having them approve it or not.

The question is; is that worth the money?

All phys reps for this skill, as well add the two heroics must be approved anyway. However, as stated earlier, Old West style pistols are not acceptable.
