Re-Newbified

Hey guys,

Some of you with particularly good memories may remember me showing up during the July '07 event as Respen, Bumbling Wild Mage Extraordinaire. I got threatened by a few of you down by the lake, warned off of going to the Mage's Guild by Gideon and then went and followed him with a scholarly friend of mine anyway, dismembered and left on a picnic table, and even got eaten by those dumb plants that kind of mind controlled a bunch of people into the woods. And all during my first event! Good fun.

Well, long as it has been, it looks like we LARPers from Rhode Island have plans to invade in June. With somewhere around a dozen people interested, plots are already in motion for getting appropriate transportation and getting everything all set. Two or three of those interested have been once before, myself included, though it was a while ago. We'll see how it turns out, but hopefully, we can all descend without a problem.

So as lengthy as my re-greeting is, my question is this: do you guys keep characters on-hand that long, or do we need to make new ones? I'd like to play the one I already have, and I think that Scott and Pat would too, but it would be awkward to show up and be told we no longer existed. Just a little, I mean.

Hahahaha - do we keep characters on hand that long...

The straight answer is yes, usually.  The long answer is that I think there are characters in the database from the inception of the game that haven't been played in many, many years.  If you want to make sure, send a message to the Character Card Officer, Sam, with all the names you want to check on and I'm sure he'd look them up and make sure they are still in there.  Even if its not in there for whatever reason, something can be figured out.
