Heya, I am going to be NPC'ing with a group of friends in December. My girlfriend will be NPC'ing as well, and she is worried that she will be stuck outside in the cold (she is afraid of getting sick and it really effecting her finals).

How does one best get a room in the inn at Camp Sac? Any reservations, or such?

You'd have to get there EARLY.  Only one room is on a reservation basis (known as the "Count's room", its the director and usually staff members, storytellers, etc), and thats the smallest of the four rooms all the way at the top of the stairs.  The other three are first come, first serve, but usually fill up fast by particular IG groups of people.  No one is expected to sleep outside in the tents when it starts to get that cold though, and beds are added to the downstairs of the Inn, and there are also beds in three other larger buildings across the camp.  Its a tight fit, but its always been made to work.  No one wants anyone in the possible snow (unless they are the few that choose it!)

If particular buildings/rooms will be reserved for certain groups though, that will be announced before the events themselves.

No one is ever forced to sleep outside a heated building. In the worse case scenario, mattresses can be brought inside and placed on floorspace just before sleeping. Now that I own the site, a large emphasis will be spent on creating more heated sleeping space for the winter. It is possible that we may still be a little tight this year, but the following year we should have no issues.

What Kristen & James said...

(this is for everyone) Also, keep in mind that the Inn is usually for PCs or maybe in certain unique situations for NPCs playing specific roles. But, we will find a warm place for the NPCs to sleep as wel1.
