So I was planning on coming to the May event but my boss just told me I need to work Saturday morning and won't give me off. I might try and come up to NPC but I don't know how the whole npcing thing works. If you NPC do you get any time to play your actual character?
If you come to play for only half an event as a player is it cheaper at all?

Hi, I'm not a rules marshal of any kind, but from experience (and this could be dis-proven by the aforementioned rules marshals) if you show up to a game you may either pay the determined price for being a PC, and if you're there for less than 24 hours, (at the discretion of staff) you possibly could opt out of an NPC shift, with camp and cabin clean up still required.
If you NPC for the whole event, you cannot be your PC at all from Saturday to the event's end. However, you compensated IG and I am unsure what the arrangements are for sleeping.
TL:DR: In your situation, you could either show up as an NPC the whole time and not be your character, or be your character and (possibly) not need to NPC, depending on when you arrive. It is cheaper to NPC the whole time (Free, in fact)
Good luck arriving this May,
Will.

Hey. New player marshal here. To answer your questions,
1: if you full time NPC you don't get to play your character, but you don't pay for the event. You still pick up your card up though in case you earn additional SP and also, to get your rewards written down.
2: no if you come to part of the event it is still the regular price. However as per the Rulebook if you are there less than 12 hours, you may at the discretion of the Director, not have to NPC.
Hope this helped,

Please do not answer rules questions if you are not a marshal. Generally if you have to explain you aren't a marshal, you should not be answering the question. I know we all try to be helpful, but when people begin answering questions that are not marshals, it causes confusion. Thanks!
That being said, Connor has the correct answers to all your questions.

Okay..So Let's say I'm rockin' two characters.
I NPC for the weekend and get x build from it.
Does each character get x build a piece or do they get .5x a piece?
Or .33x for three, .25x for four...?

You choose which character it goes towards. The service points go to you as a player and show up across the board, but the build you choose how to distribute.
