Beer! was created by Kendrick (Kendrick)
After talkwing with Wally Friday night and seeing he is just as passionate about beer as me, I think we can start a thread here to extoll which ones we enjoy bestest.

For starters, I have to go with The Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA. Hoppy goodness at its best.

One of favorites is Blithering Idiot from Weyerbacher.  Unfortunately its hard to find outside of easton.

Another one I've found I enjoyed is Old Tom, another good chocolate ale.

My current favorite is Special K from Dock Street Brewery.  It's an unfiltered Kolsch, so you get that ludicrous cloudiness you only get with unfiltered beer.

I'm also a huge fan of Kenzinger from Philadelphia Brewing Company.  It's a citrusy, easy to drink beer that's pretty much awesome to drink on a lazy Sunday.

For you ladies out there (Andy), I suggest the Leinenkugel Berry Weiss.  It's a beer that tastes shockingly like berry soda.  It's super, super sweet so I tend to steer clear of it, but if you claim you can't stand the taste of beer, I reccomend this heavily.

Love Arrogant Bastard...
Love Toasted Lager by Blue Point as my regular beer
Agree with the Dogfishhead IPA
Hobgoblin is awesome
Blithering Idiot is another I like
Long Trail is a nice staple beer when I can get it.

one of the finest beers I've ever had was the Russian Imperial Stout that Six Point Brewery put out about 2 years ago... it was incredible, at $20 a 22-oz bottle, I've only had 4 in my life... but that I went back for more says something..

I had Deus was good... though I find it not as worth the price as the Six Point's Russian Imperial

Some of my own homebrew that I've enjoyed is:
Ken & Mike's Floor Beer
          Death Beer (original)
Long Dark Death (also can be used to stain and preserve wood)
          Elderberry Stout
          Pumpernickle Stout
          Expresso Stout

Oh I'm sure there is more, but this is what jumps off the table at me.

I'm surprised we don't have anything from River Horse posted up here... I prefer their lager.
Leffe Belgium Blonde Ale is also decent.
Hoegaarden Witbier, is awesome, and has traces of I believe orange and coriander- nice drink for summer
Sam Smith's Oatmeal Stout is fantastic, deep flavor, rich, creamy, and semisweet

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

This beer actually tastes like non-alcoholic apple cider that you drink at Thanksgiving, actually.

But, in all fairness, it also got me DRUNK.

I'm afraid the oils will interfer with the carbonization, that's what happened with a vanilla stout I made with actual vanilla bean... the oils just didn't go right.  However, I remember reading about a beer (somehow it's linked in my memory to George Washington) that involves having a chicken in the fermenting process.

The last is available in Jamaica, for what it is worth.  For those of you who believe that most beers are good, with some being better than others, I can only suggest a two week tour through the UK or Germany, stopping in every pub and Biergarten you find and sampling all the local stuff.  I entered a bar in Munchen and ordered a Loewenbrau.  After asking for another, the guy behind the bar said "American?  You should switch from that piss to real beer."  He proceeded to set me up with a cab, and then poured 14 shot glasses of various beers and told me to pick the ones I liked.  It was a great night for beer.

I usually end up drinking with police when I drink, so the menu is Miller Lite, Hennesy and a barf bag.  But, at the risk of being simple I really like Guiness.
