There is a dagger that always gets plunged into the heart of these types of trademark/patent attempts.
Pwned, pwnt, pwnage and other such terms are already in the area considered "public knowledge" there are no creative rights to be had and if they think theyre going to corner the market on games to be like "pure pwnage: the game" or something like that. Well good luck to them.

I am not surprised someone tried something like this. After all, the Time Warner copyrighted the song "Happy Birthday". Sure, they can't realistically make everyone pay them who sings it at birthday parties, but whenever the song is used in movies, a small licencing fee is paid out. Goes to reason that some folks are going to try to copyright whatever they can.

I love when movies + tv shows make their own version of a Happy Birthday song in order to avoid that licensing fee. Aqua Teen Hunger Force made a whole episode about Master Shake making his own birthday song so that he could get all the royalties on it. Great stuff.
