The Cooper movie on York should have been included and it was pretty accurate.
Missing was a 22 year old marine was was given the CMO in (IIRC) the 80s, for single handedly stopping a battalion sized attempted infiltration by the Japanese on some island during WWII. It was a night infiltration. He killed them all - or at least those who made it to the wire. You really do not want to know why it took so long to honor him, but let us say that his Colonel did not believe a person of his ethnic background could have done what his direct commanding officer said transpired. Took Japanese records to set it straight. Hollywood has nothing like it, because the guy took all night to kill around 100 people in a very workmanlike manner.
