Girls in costumes!
Not too close!

I was like "This makes no sense!" until the "DOUBTING THE TECHNICAL ACCURACY OF THIS DIAGRAM" bit.

Very silly.

When responding 'No' to the first prompt you are exposed immediately to sunlight, followed shortly by girls.

I was exposed to dungeons and dragons at the tender young age of about 8 months ago. Unfortunately the descent into madness has already spun wildly out of control.

Oh Gary, he must be ROLLING in his grave!

No, seriously though, it's not funny. But at least he lived a long life before he FAILED HIS FORT SAVE!

If only someone could cast RAISE DEAD!

To be honest, I really cried about 4d6 tears (dropping the lowest, of course) when I found out.

We played a D&D campaign for years, starting in the mid 70s.  When the DM moved to Indiana when his wife was obtaining a doctorate, three of us piled into my mom's roomy (borrowed specifically for this trip, my dad letting his wife drive his and him willing to drive a Z if he had to) Caddy and drove Thursday after work and left late Sunday.  This was done every two or three months.

He came east three or four times a year and we played here when that occurred.

Obsessive, nah - we really liked the campaign :)  We made banners that we hung on the walls, some repro weapons, and someone (not me) anonymously designed a card game around what KR would call a"holy relic."  A custom deck was included, and the whole was mailed to the DM from an address in Texas.  All were impressed.  Although a lighthearted card game, we took it seriously as Fanelli (the DM) declared that the winner would receive a level.

Let's see - there were four regular players.  All eventually got married (two to the same woman at different times), who was one of the players.  I guess that is one way nerds get to reproduce, though no children ever resulted from the unions.  There are four  children from the five marriages, two of whom play D&D.

We still game together at various times each year on a sort of regular basis.  The core of the group met playing Diplomacy at Origens II.
