1) You don't need the D&D Insider service (monthly subscription based service to get additional content). Apparently it will add to the game, but people have been playing for months with the 3 core books and no problems.
2) Apparently it keeps the heart and soul of the game while deep sixing everything that made the game plod along.
3) Every review I have read began thus: I really wanted to hate this game, BUT...
I guess it may not be a disaster. And to be honest, if the changes are anything like going from Revised Star Wars to Star Wars Saga Edition, it can only be good. Guess we'll see in June, right?

Player of the Month
Jackie GIBS!
She gave her all this weekend and spent a majority of her time OOG doing things to help other people rather than playing. She cooked feast, sold raffle tickets, and NPCed a Low-Level mod. She even sat down for Main Mod, taking care of people with heat-related health issues, remaining cheerful and buoyant the whole time through. She deserves more than an award, she deserves a medal. She even woke up extra early on Saturday to go look at decorated cabins. Thanks Jackie! You rock!
